Capitol Complex Tourist Center

This place is Unique spot in Chandigarh. Since it was the first building built in Chandigarh. The building serves as the secretariat and high court so it is not open all the time. The Tourist are allowed in 3 batches at 10 AM, 12PM and 3PM. So accordingly you can plan your trip.

There is guide who explains you everything regarding the architecture and buildings. The tour is totally free of cost all you have to do is reach on time.

Beautiful place worth the visit. Check the timing and go 20mins early. The guide is awesome and explains well.

We got late for scheduled tour but Mr Karaj Singh made special efforts to accommodate us and we are grateful to him because the tour was actually worth the time. The shared information was interesting and it was really illuminating to view Le Corbusier’s vision of our city beautiful!

The only way to view these important buildings is with a guide. You are not allowed to go near the courthouse, but they will show you the inside of the parliament building. Except money and passport you have to leave everything at the reception. Photography of the interior is therefore not possible.

Very calm and beautiful place, especially during weekend and on holidays. Tourist complex is open 7 days in week.

Nice place to explore and a must visit place in Chandigarh. It is the main attraction of Chandigarh. As mentioned by a number of friends here, we have to visit the Tourist Information Centre of Chandigarh as they are conducting guided tour to the buildings. Timings are 10.00,12.00 and 15.00 on all days. The staff there are really cooperative and helpful.

A place worth seeing, if you happen to go to Chandigarh. Many people don't know, you have a tourist center who help you with a guide. No charges. You have to have your IDs though.
La Corbousier Architecture.

Lunch break from 12.00 to 03.00 pm, which is announced nowhere if you want to get a permit.this is not welcoming for people who are interested in the architecture and a shame for a city who wants to be part of unesco world cultural heritage.

When you visit this place, you will observe how unimaginable the scale of these buildings are with respect to the plaza. This is remarkable work by corbusier and jeannret, and whatever modern architecture you see in India is moreover originated from this city and the architecture of it.
This is the best place to acknowledge architecture and to study it with an architectural lens.

PS- it's a government building so you have to register first in the tourist information centre and timings are fixed to visit this place at 10am, 12pm and 3pm.

Beautiful structure, there are three tours everyday at 12 and 3 pm but it is advuced to advance biok your slot as they are always full.these are guided by experts and it takes about 2 hours to cover 3 buildings- Secretariat, high court and vidhan sabha.
