Nice place but actual rock garden artefacts come right at the end. It was a long walk esp on a hot day and spaces are constricted/ narrow. Should be better managed. Bad smells at some places in the garden.

For 30 rupees its worth it.
You can spend your whole day inside as there is so much to explore. Best place to take photos as there are varieties of background and sceneries. We went on a sunny day and we were damn tired after walking for hours. Inside there is a canteen so you can hydrate. Must Visit Place In Chandigarh.

It is the top most tourist attraction in Chandigarh. This is what Chandigarh is most known for. It is a sculpture park where all the sculptures have been made from industrial and home wastes. There are artificial waterfalls inside. There's a complete pathway from start to end in more like a maze form. You start from one gate, roam around for around 2 hours and come out from a different gate. Architect Nek Chand started developing it in 1957. It's spread over an area of 40 acres. It also has a doll park inside where dolls made of discarded clothes are kept.
Timings are 9am to 7pm.
Ticket price is ₹30 for adults and ₹10 for kids. There's no separate ticket needed for cameras.
Restrooms are available.
The place has a large parking which can accommodate large number of cars.
The place is not accessible to especially abled persons.

Review based on visit in October 2021.

I have visited here many times.
I have seen improvement every time I visit.
It is total made up of rocks and waste materials.
It also connect us with nature and it so clean.
It's entry fee is also very low.
But sometimes fountain is on sometimes not.
A lot much space for parking. But in rainy season there may be water standing in the parking region.
Overall it's good place to visit and very peaceful.

One of the best places to visit in Chandigarh.
If you are in Chandigarh, don't miss a chance to visit the place.
Also, remember to take out around 6 hours from your schedule to explore and embrace the beauty of it.

The place is now old. Low maintenance and no food vendors nearby is a disappointing thing. I would not recommend to visit this place as the concept has now become old.

Lot of repeated rock architecture. Too big and by the end you are tired and see some good rock carvings.

There are multiple waterfall also here.

Doll house is worth visiting and you can get some good pictures there.

Fish aquarium is not worth checking.

Omg, what a park it is. A must visit place with your family. But please don't come here in rush. It's a great place if you've enough time to spend with your family. You just have to pay 30rs entry ticket for the park. It has shopping points also where you can buy Jewellery and toys. Also you can eat cholle kulcha, aloo tikki and many more tasty items here

Definitely worth a visit once.
Everyone has praised a lot about it so I won't talk much about it, plz read other reviews for that.

Few genuine concerns/suggestions:
1. There is fixed route that we have to follow. One can not exit in between in case if there's any emergency.
2. If you have a toddler n have to carry it, think twice before going. It's a long walk!
3. Almost all internal gates are too short to pass through comfortably. And it's painful to crouch down n walk every now n then with a kid on your shoulder.
Couldn't understand a reason for it. This is not a fort or something, why build gates so small?
4. Avoid going on a hot day or be ready to get sweaty.
5. About the dolls n statues - it looks like they have focused more on quantity than quality. Everything looks so primitive. Not sure if it is purposely designed that way. I think it could have been made better with the same materials that are used. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to criticize or downplay the efforts taken by the creative people for so many years.

Anyways, It's great to see how waste materials are used so creatively!

I cannot say enough of this, “Please allocate a full 4 - 6 hrs to visit this mind-blowing place”. I was totally amused by all the sculptures and other sceneries they have made in this place. The entire place is a huge maze and a definite taste of Chandigarh. They have museums, waterfalls, mosaic arts, caves and forts. I still can’t comprehend how big this place is.

It consists of art objects, fashioned from industrial and urban waste. It is situated near Chandigarh Sukhna Lake in Sector 1. Woods in the form of an open air exhibition hall, theatre trove and a miniature maze all rolled into one vast fantasy land of art and landscape. It is without doubt, a tourist spot that is a must on the itinerary of every visitor to Chandigarh.

Chandigarh rock garden is an epitome of creativity and innovation. It is a unique garden that consists
of various art objects. But the best part about the rock garden is that each of its artwork has been
made by using industrial & urban waste. It is located in Sector 1 between the Capitol Complex and
Sukhna Lake. The credit for laying its foundation goes to Nek Chand, who was the then Road
Inspector in the Engineering Department of Chandigarh Capital Project.
Rock garden has been established in the form of an open-air exhibition hall. The garden houses
sculptures made by using a variety of different discarded waste materials like frames, mudguards,
forks, handle bars, metal wires, play marbles, porcelain, auto parts, broken bangles etc. Rock
garden in Chandigarh, India is a unique creation and connoisseurs come from different parts of the
world to see this amazing garden.
Gardens are special. Since childhood, we develop an unexplainable love for
gardens. And if you are one of those who love visiting gardens, you must visit the
Rock Garden of Chandigarh. Here’s everything you should know about this
garden.
The Rock Garden is a sculpture garden in Chandigarh. It is also known as Nek
Chand’s Rock Garden after its founder Nek Chand, a government official who
started the garden secretly in his spare time in 1957. The garden is spread over
an area of forty acres (160,000 sq.m.). What’s interesting about this garden is thefact that it’s entirely built of industrial and home waste and discarded items.
Sculptures are made using bottles, glasses, bangles, tiles, ceramic pots, sinks
and electrical waste. Apart from sculptures, this garden also has man-made
interlinked waterfalls

Very beautiful place. Best to go in cool weather or when sunshine is wanted, for it's mostly an open space. Amazing figurines. I loved the waterfalls. So many of those! The sounds and cooling made by the waterfalls were the best! There were also laughing mirrors and acquariums here, which I didn't know about. So it's not just a visit to a garden, but a multi-purpose place. Enjoyed this sudden plan of ours!

Very beautiful place. Would recommend to visit at 3-4 PM, as mid-days can be very hot. Overall very beautifully made with large waterfalls and lots to explore. Near Sukhna lake, it would take nearly 2-3 hours to completely explore this place. A must visit in Chandigarh.

A well developed garden which covered awesomely by the person Chand who included all the three periods. It's has a dynasty and king rule demonstration by rocks and Sclupturos. Means you can't give it up till you reach at the end of the garden. It's give a perfect view how kings live and today's generation living. Lots of old stones which denotes something related to medival period. Mr Chand great architecture led to have this beautiful place in India. Whats not in this place. It has everything the waterwalls. Waterfalls. Sculptors. King Rooms. Magic Glasses. Lots of fun activities. It's really a place to visit with family. Frnds. Alone. But definitely visit in you life time O will suggest.
Chandigarh is also the best city whochbis well designed and for its cleaness
