I attended sourdough class at the mad tea party and and it was very wholesome in every way. I was always intimidated by sourdoughs but Anita gets you comfortable with the micro-organisms and you learn to treat them like a member of your family and keep them happy. I have been a biggest fan of Anita mam, following her on instagram for 2-3 years now. Being a baker myself I always wanted to learn from her. Finally got a chance to attend the sourdough bread workshop in August. It was very detailed. So glad to meet her in person. She is the BEST mentor.

A few months ago I tasted sourdough bread for the first time and fell in love with the taste. When I came across Anita's workshops- sourdough starter, sourdough baking& sourdough discard, I jumped at the chance to participate.
This was the best decision as the classes were lively and Anita was very patient in explaining each step of the process in detail and also clearing all our doubts very patiently. I would recommend everyone to sign up for her workshops!

My first sourdough workshop with Anita was in 2018. She was very patient with the class, and generously shared her knowledge, tips and tricks to make a good sourdough bread. When I asked her in 2022 that I wanted to sit on her class to refresh my sourdough skills she said yes without a moments hesitation. I wholeheartedly recommend her workshops. In my opinion she is the best sourdough teacher!

I came across Anita's Instagram couple of months back and was impressed by her posts, her choice of words, her in depth knowledge and understanding, her love for nature, her culinary skills and her charming smile. I was instantly pulled into her sourdough bread baking workshop. Frankly, in the first introductory class I was lost in the fancy world of baking jargon but Anita's explicit explanation gave a lot of clarity on the process and kept me motivated. She equipped us in advance with the solutions to the upcoming troubleshoots. I am truly grateful to her for such an informative and enriching workshop. I highly recommend her class for those who want to experience the joy of baking. My heart is filled with love and gratitude as I could finally bake my perfect sourdough bread. Thank you Anita, our association will never cease as there's lot more that I have to learn from you.

If you are a sourdough enthusiast or a worn out sourdough experimentalist like me… look no further. Keep an eye for Anita’s sourdough classes and you won’t be disappointed. Her tips and tricks have helped me embark my sourdough journey and so far I have been pretty successful. I would strongly recommend her classes. The expanse of knowledge she has is not the only reason you should be following her, her anecdotes about her SD journey is what makes her sessions so lively and bubbly just like the starter she would help you to make. She is definitely a sourdough expert or ‘sourdough doctor’ as she likes to say.

I attended the sourdough starter workshop 2 weeks back and it has been an amazing experience. Anita is very professional and a wonderful teacher. Though I have been baking with sourdough for a couple of years, I wanted to gain more information and learn from a teacher who has definitely more experience. Anita goes above and beyond and checks on the progress of of the sourdough starter after the initial workshop so that any mistakes are corrected and gives the students the feedback.
I look forward to the bread baking class next. Thank you Anita and its been a pleasure attending the online workshop.

One of Anita's USP is, being available. Answering to the point for every question in the room. Her passion to teach, spread knowledge and her love of sourdough is amazing. I took Sourdough class with Anita in 2019 in Bangalore and again the online kimchi one last month. I enjoyed both, but the sourdough one was especially my favorite. I have always been SO intimidated with the process of sourdough and Anita made it extremely easy to understand. Not to add the awesome people I met during the class and spent good time with. I feel Anita is a natural teacher and is very chilled out, which really helps anxious cooks like me ;-) I look forward to attending more classes with her and learning from her. It was money and time well spent indeed!

I appreciate Anita’s practical and straightforward approach to her recipes. She is a wealth of knowledge, has an enviable rooftop garden (per IG) and cooks the most delicious looking food! I thoroughly enjoyed the fermentation class that I took with her and sourdough discard workshops. I cannot wait to take some more workshops with her. On top of al that she is super nice and approachable! She even accommodates with US timings.

She is simply AMAZINGG! She takes a lot of pain to make sure that every student gets it perfectly. She explains each step in detail and by the end of the session makes every beginner like me feel like a PRO. I attended the sourdough series and now I am hooked on to baking bread. I cannot wait to attend her upcoming sessions and looking forward to learn soo much from her! Cannot recommend her enough, you will NOT regret it!

I took the sourdough workshop with Anita in January 2020. Before that I had just started baking sourdough bread and was a few loaves old. After Anita's workshop I think I've upped the game to a different level. She was very knowledgeable, shared this wisdom generously, and cleared our doubts patiently. She also shared some demo videos of the different steps to making SD, which we get to keep forever and she is always available to answer questions long after the workshop. I do recommend her highly.

You have to do workshops with Anita. They are fun, informative and interesting. The pace of the workshop and the way she answers her questions makes it an engaging session. Hopefully I will attend an in person session one day)

She is the goddess of all things Sourdough and fermentation! The best part is that complicated processes and concepts are turned into simplified steps when one cooks along with her. Everything is explained so well that one picks up lessons for a lifetime even after the workshops are concluded. Even absolute novices are able to produce absolutely delicious Kimchi, Kombucha, Vinegar and Sourdough bread, to name a few!

I recently participated in Anita's Sourdough starter workshop. Having no prior knowledge about this, I was apprehensive whether the workshop would help me start my journey in the complex world of Sourdough. Anita is a great teacher, who not only taught us how to grow and maintain a starter, but gave us a comprehensive knowledge about what goes into making a healthy and bubbly starter. The main worksop was succeeded by a series of follow-up sessions for doubt clearing. She is patient and will answer your endless questions, (which you might sometimes even feel stupid asking), is happily answered by her. Today I have a very bubbly looking and sour smelling starter thanks to my teacher and I am so excited! I look forward to participating in more workshops by Anita. Thank you A Mad Tea Party!

The workshops were intricately designed by you to suit everyone's demands (right from providing alternatives to Dutch Oven to how to bake a beautiful loaf without having all the right equipment) and timings (most importantly) it is commendable how you adjusted to accommodate all the different time zones. The best part was your quick response time to all our queries let them be how small but you were always there to help us out through this SourDough journey. The workshops covered a great ton of information and you freely gave all the information you had regarding sourdough and you cleared all our doubts with patience. The worksops were fun and indeed a great investment for my skill-set. Looking forward to continuing baking sourdough loaves and nurturing this connection with you.continuing do the great work Anita, cheers.

Anita is a sourdough wizard! She did an online course over 2 days, across 4 time zones - she walked us through the science behind sourdough and demystified the process. In just the last week I’ve made 4 loaves with her guidance and each one is better than the last. I can’t wait to make more of these (I’ll never have to buy bread again!). Looking forward to learning more sourdough recipes from her:)

Recently attended the online kombucha workshop with Anita. I have to say at first I found myself a little lost and was scared how to go about it. But for every question of mine, she made me feel at ease and helped me sail through.i can definitely say that when u enrol with Anita, one need not worry she will guide u at every step
I m so glad that I took up this workshop.will be definitely saving the monthly expenditure on buying kombucha from the market now that I can make it myself.

Anita’s workshops are well structured. She ensures all the participants leave the workshop believing that it’s possible for everyone to cook/ferment/bake. The best piece of advice she gives in her workshops are, know the basics and don’t be afraid to fail and experiment.

Loved attending the sourdough bread workshop. Anita is a brilliant teacher who breaks down the sourdough baking into very clear actionable steps. This makes the whole process seem extremely simple. Also her love for baking is extremely infectious! Keep spreading the joy!

She is an amazing mentor. She makes sure she clears all your doubts. She helps you understand the science behind each food and jots down every little thing

I accidently came across her insta handle while looking for some sourdough bread baking.am glad i found her.i have done online sessions with her.sour dough, fermentation, easy peasy pickles.in our last class i came to know that shez a professor no wonder she's so patient.it was real fun learning new skills.waiting eagerly for some more amazingly exciting courses with her.

I’ve done 4 workshops with Anita so far. Sourdough and pasta workshops live and vinegar and easy pickles online and they’ve been great experiences.
Anita is generous with sharing her years of expertise and knowledge. I’ve come out out of every workshop brimming with information and inspired to lead a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.

Anita's workshops are enjoyable and informative. These are not your transactional cooking classes - more like having a very encouraging friend show you her tricks and treats. The cook along sessions make it easy to understand and follow along. I've attended both the in-person and online sessions and although one misses on the side chats of the in-person sessions, the online sessions were as effective. Highly recommend!

Update after Sourdough Bread class, August '20 batch!

I joined the zoom class with a lot of apprehensions, all of which were laid to rest as soon as I saw four other beaming faces on screen:)

Anita's to-the-point explanation set us sail through a sourdough bread baking journey quiet seamlessly. We laughed, talked, baked, made a dough-y mess, ate and shared so much more virtually.

Holding up that good looking boule at the end for a group pic was a moment of achievement. She did say we made her proud. Nevertheless, some day I look forward to attending your class in person, cook for you and make you a little extra proud:)

Attended my first online sourdough starter class with Anita, and I feel confident about having gotten my starter going. Loved her teaching methodology. Thank you so much:)

Anita is a legend in the food blogging space and sourdough baking! I attended the online sourdough starter making workshop and sourdough Foccacia and bread workshop. The schedule and process which was communicated beforehand was concise and clear! She was handholding throughout the day long process and a lot of tips and theory were taught! It was indeed worth attending her workshop every single time!
