Collections are good but old. Would be great to see some modern warfares, aircrafts and weapons that can be displayed in public domain. Worst part is the souvenir shop inside has literally nothing good that can be bought. The models look like kid toys, no proper finishing, not worthy at all. The fridge magnets or other stuff are not good or attractive. Very less and bad collection of souvenirs. You get better ones online.
It’s very beautiful and fantastic place. It’s has so Much knowledge and history to it. You can spend beautiful time in this places with your loved one and also know so many things about India Air Force. It has been maintained very nicely there is a ticket for ₹20 per person there is washroom facility and also souvenir shop. They let you inside after your is checking. They also have cafeteria which provides reasonable price and good food they take little more time to Serve sometimes. But overall very good experience here.

Major place for motivational educational outing for school/college kids/family outings where fun and learning go together. It is well maintained, neat and clean place with facility of a cafeteria and a souvenir shop. It has its own dedicated large sized free parking inside the complex. A walk across the museum makes you learn about the glorious history of the IAF and its war heroes, as well as the various aircrafts that participated in action. A must see.
This place has all sorts of miniature planes and when they couldn't make a miniature of a plane, they used the real one. A museum and a canteen is also there. Entry is free. Parking is free. One can park the vehicle just opposite to this museum. You can also see some ammunition captured during Indo-Pak war.

The Indian Air Force museum at Palam has been completely revamped 2019 onward. The care and quality of work put into restoring and repainting the exhibits and tidying up the hangar and outdoor display areas is incredible. Additional details have been added to the info boards, and most of the older aircraft have been painted with meticulously researched historical markings. The famous Su-7 tail finally has a serial number on it. New aircraft have also joined the zoo, including a specially marked MiG-27, an actual 1971 War MiG-21, and now finally a former East Pakistan F-86 Sabre.
The gift shop could use some work, but there is now a functioning cafe and lounge area, which is a huge plus for those hot summer days.
The Indian Air Force Museum, Palam, is the museum of the Indian Air Force, and is located at the Palam Air Force Station in Delhi, India. The museum was the only one of its kind in India until the opening of the Naval Aviation Museum in Goa in 1998 and HAL Aerospace Museum in Bangalore in 2001. The Museum reflects the very best of what the Indian Air Force has stood for in War and Peace. Its compilation is, in itself, a lasting tribute to hundreds of people who have each in their own way contributed to build a glorious tradition. It is befitting for a fighting service like the Indian Air Force to have a sense of history and tradition and the museum is a temple where memories of our glory are enshrined.
The most remarkable site of this Museum is a wall in one of it's sections. It has Roll of Honour in golden letters, of officers and men who made supreme sacrifice by laying down their lives in Kashmir Operation in 1947, Chinese Aggression 1962, Indo-Pak conflicts 1965 and 1971. Their names liveth forever more. On display is another important historical photograph wherein Lieutenant General Niazi of Pakistan Army is seen signing surrender document of Indo-Pak war 1971 with General Jagjit Singh Arora. On both the side walls are photographs and painting showing Hunter and Gnat aircraft hitting, smashing and setting ablaze enemy targets during Indo-Pak conflicts. In the Hanger, we have a full size United states Appollo Lunar Module which carried American Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin to moon's surface on 21 July, 1969.
I personally visited, it's good for students to gain a knowledge and to know more about our brave Air force officier. Its beside has a Air force runway. There is inside the original parts of Pakistan Army. I salute and thankful to their management team and officer to maintain a museum.
Very nice muesiem Well maintained and cleaned Lots of real and dummy airforce aircraft are there Cafeteria is also there You should pre check if the muesiem is open or closed because the muesiem is closed on all national holiday.
I can't really give a star or 4 to this place since I traveled here all the way from Gurugram only to realize that the place is temporarily closed according to the security. There was a dedicated parking just for the museum that was located across the road and an indication board exits that says so. Both the parking and the main entrance was accessible since it was a ramp or leveled ground at both places. I will update rest of the review when I enter the museum on the next trip.
This place is worth and I really wanted to see it but since this museum was temporarily closed. Giving rating in stars is not worth, this is always on higher priority side. It is mere a scale for this which is always on 100% side.
Hopefully, when I visit the place (Museum) will be open. Yeah, I did not check anything and I just got to know that there is Air force Museum, Let's go. But I found the place temporarily closed.
I got to know there that the ticketing system is there which is at too lower sode so it is not a big deal. I will write another review when I make a visit again and explore my excitement to this place.
Do visit the awesome Indian Airforce Museum if you are in Delhi next time. So proud of their achievements. A bigger better museum is in the plans I learn from a model displayed here. Worth a visit, or say *a must visit place in palam, new Delhi*
You can only see planes from outer boundary. Not even you can see or examine the plane from its surrounding. You cannot even take experience of cockpits. In rail museum you can go inside the locomotives and see the buttons and whole cockpit. There was not an even simulator through which we could see the cockpit.
Excellent place to view different IAF aircrafts ensemble under one roof. Major attractions are the Pakistani captured vehicles, shot down plane & the famous Spitfire.
Entry is free but Govt ID proof is mandatory for admission. Nearest metro is Sadar Bazar Cantt on Magenta line.
A unique aviation museum where you get to know the history of our Air Force. Old aircraft used in IAF are put on display. Good motivational value for young students. Entry and parking is free. A must visit place for all tourists at Delhi.
The Indian Air Force Museum, Palam, is the museum of the Indian Air Force, and is located at the Palam Air Force Station in Delhi, India. Entrance to the museum is free. Air force museum is nice museum contains different kind of fighter planes which highlights their own history. Each plane has it's own uniqueness. You can visits this place with your family and friends. Great 're spent
Wonderful place.contains historical details about indian air force. Just note one thing that their is no security for your luggage.be sure to take all the important things with you.
Although a place of heritage and history, it isnt been very well maintained. They could perhaps introduce an entry fee but place some new age aircrafts and machines that provide more knowledge to the visitors. Restrooms could also be larger and cleaner.
The place is well maintained. A golden opportunity to see the history of our air warriors. The Souvenir shop is also good. The canteen may be improved. There is a separate place for keeping your helmet/bags etc.
Best place to see old military planes in Delhi. Old guns are displayed here. Old airforce uniforms are also present. This place contains a large collection of aircrafts. Parts of gunned down pakistani planes, tanks, jeeps are also present. One should bring a photo Id along with them. Civilians are allowed.
Touch the sky with glory. Number of vintage warplanes and trophy and memories of honourable Indian air force and it's air warrior. Mig 21,23,25, su7, Dakota planes, etc etc, will fill your heart with proud and honour.
