Akshardham

This was one of the most extraordinary places I visit in India.
This was not part of our tour, but our amazing driver suggested we came here.

It is an astonishing place.
You are not allowed to take your phone or any cameras to the premises, so no pics.

But I hope it all gets carved in my memory, as it is really great.

They have a big sculpture of elephants around the main temple, with many inscriptions, explaining how elephants and humans have joined hands, and also with great fabules and stories/lessons.

It is a most do for individual growth and faith.

The cleanliness of this place is a joy. Crowd management is adequate and they offer a free cloak room. That is excellent courtesy. The canteen is decent. Make sure you see the place with lights after dark. A joy and a good pass time for everyone in the family

Swaminarayan Akshardham is a Hindu temple, and spiritual-cultural campus in Delhi, India. The temple is close to the border with Noida. Also referred to as Akshardham Temple or Akshardham Delhi, the complex displays millennia of traditional and modern Hindu culture, spirituality, and architecture. Inspired by Yogiji Maharaj and created by Pramukh Swami Maharaj, it was constructed by BAPS.
The temple was officially opened on 6 November 2005 by Pramukh Swami Maharaj in the presence of A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Manmohan Singh, L. K Advani and B. L Joshi. The temple, at the center of the complex, was built according to the Vastu shastra and Pancharatra shastra.
In Swaminarayan Akshardham, similar to its predecessor Swaminarayan Akshardham in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, the main shrine is the focal point and maintains the central position of the entire complex. There are various exhibition halls which provide information about the life and work of Swaminarayan. The designers of the complex have adopted contemporary modes of communication and technology to create the various exhibition halls.
The complex features an abhishek mandap, Sahaj Anand water show, a thematic garden, and three exhibitions namely Sahajanand Darshan (Hall of Values), Neelkanth Darshan (an IMAX film on the early life of Swaminarayan as the teenage yogi, Neelkanth), and Sanskruti Darshan (cultural boat ride). According to Swaminarayan Hinduism, the word Akshardham means the abode of Swaminarayan and believed by followers as a temporal home of God on earth.

One of the greatest temple in India, you must visit this place at once. This place also have water shows, food corner, book store and many more. This place do not allow camera and mobile phones so you can not take pictures inside it, but a photographer is available inside it, you can take picture from them by paying them.

A neat and huge place for divine.well maintanence and cleanly co organized.these guys are assautly handling 8k to 10k people at a time.

Wonderful experience. I have visited there 4times, everytime I found something new. This time I like the most is kids play and swings corner. Good thing is all swings ride is free of cost. Upto 12 years child can enjoy them. Otherwise children got bore there.

Awsm Temple Complex. Spending your time here will definitely give you peace of mind.
People going there for the first time should know that they should avoid taking any electronic device (mobile/earphones/ electronic watch etc) with them while visiting the complex, because it's not allowed there. Also i suggest them not to take anything with them (bag/luggage) because then they might have to spend hours in the queue of the clock room. If you really want to spend a good time in the complex, just follow these guidelines otherwise you will waste your time in the clock room queue.

Wonder temple. It was feeling awesome when I went inside the temple. Tajmahal is nothing in front of Akshardham. The water show n the aarti was beautiful. Mantra they chanted freshened up my mind n soul

This Akshardham Metro Station is one among busy Metro Station, this Station is tidy and beautiful, This Station Located beside Akshardham Mandir, from this Station I've seen awesome views like traffic, Akshardham Mandir, Sports Village Etc, Good Parking lot, Wheelchair accessibility, Excellent Station.

I was here to Visit my doctor not Temple but for convince of People I wanted to share the Latest Pictures of Metro and Overhead Bridge also way to Pandav Nagar.

This is a gargoues temple.
You should visit this place, if u have a time.

Superb. Unexplainable. Fantastic architecture. Marvelous ambiance. Those who are planning to visit, must see light and water show. Marvelous creativity.

Best place to visit guys. Cameras and phones are not allowed here but it makes this experience more wonderful. And the water show, movies, boating and the temple, everything was amazing. Totally amazed by Akshardham.

Nice and peaceful tample you can visit with your family. Close to metro station. One of the best place to visit in Delhi. No phone and electronic device allowed even you can't carry head phone.

Such a beautiful architecture and the most beautiful temple. I never get tired of visiting this place. The premises is so huge that it takes a whole day to explore. It is a must visit place for every tourist. The worst part is There is a lot of security and one is not allowed to take any gadgets inside the temple. I so want to take the pictures of inside but anyways. Some places are good for the Memories inside.

Well built and maintained, tourist attraction and ticket price is higher as compared to other places.

Akshardham temple is a must visit the place, I recently visited there and my experience was very nice. There is no entry ticket. No electronic things no baggage is allowed there so I will recommend my readers not to carry any camera or expensive mobile phones as nothing is allowed in the temple, which I considered the best thing as everyone is away from technology and enjoy time with each other.
Things like mobile phones are submitted before entry and they are perfectly secure. Now the temple is very big and very beautiful. I found the architecture very attractive, also everything was very clean and nice. Inside the temple, there are various shows that you can see but all are paid shows but are worth watching it.
I recommend my readers to must watch Swaminarayan life journey movie, boat ride and also the water and laser show in the evening. I loved everything there, and if you want to enjoy the whole place then it will take the whole day. The peace in the temple was the best thing, and when you don't have any technology you interact more with the people, and those come out to be the best ones. So anyone who wants to have a good peaceful time with family can visit this place.
Although I felt that this place is a one time visit as once you explore everything then it will become boring.
I bought some food from there food counters and I didn't like it, so for food, I would say that quality is good but the taste isn't.
So if I talk about reachability to the temple then the metro is the best option, the Akshardham metro is the best and cheapest way to reach there with least walking distance.

I will sugest after sunset you should go there you will have better experience due to it's lighting.

Akshardham Metro Station has many big brands outlets. Such as Nexa, Tata, CCD, Adidas, UCB, Haldiram etc. Akshardham Temple is just a walking distance from this metro station.

This is one of the highly used metro station. It also has a mall namely Parsvanath Mall. The mall area has everything including food, clothing or any household shopping you need. Haldirams, Addidas, Pizza Hut, LOTS, CCD are some of them.

People should not approach mini confectionary located at first floor for food because owner provides inferior quality of good in expensive price.it usually a very busy station.rush is always there.
