Best serice given friendly staff, my ordered was given with 20mins of time, the chicken was cooked and drenched with masala, the phulka was really great. Had a great experience with my family. Greaf dine in experience with affordable range.

My experience at Al Jawahar was extremely disappointing. The food quality was abysmal, and I can honestly say it was the worst meal I've ever had. I ordered dishes like butter chicken, nalli nihari, and seekh kebab, and all of them were a letdown. This hotel is being called as one of the OG restaurants is a joke. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant based on my experience.

We found a hair in the chicken curry we had ordered. Very unhygienic. Quite downgraded place. Went for all the name and fanfare it has but not worth it. Staff is quite unhygienic.guy who handed over cut lemons was cleaning tables. Open area in the family dining area where people were coughing.they were not even apologetic on hair which had chicken curry had the audacity to take the tip too.talked about discount but doesn't recognize what a customer is looking for. This is real bad. Not recommended for anyone. If an option of negative rating was there I would have given minus 100

I had visted this resturant, food was very gud, all service staff was also gud, well managed staff, i like that.

Food quality is totally compromised. Served salad was stale with smell, watery green chutney served which was full of only salt, no flavor of mint or tangy essentials, khamiri roti served in advance 15 minutes before main course arrived, had cold khamiri roti, with cold main course dish. Atmosphere wise ok to visit, but if your planning to travel from far specially for delicacies of this food, you should rethink. It was total waste of money and travel time wasted. @ youtubers who post fake information for paid promotions should definitely read this post.

Al jawahar restaurant is famous restaurant in delhi. I am visiting in this restaurant 5 days ago. And enjoy the delious food. Best part of this restaurant is staff behavior and good servicing.

Good Place for a complete lunch or dinner.specially their mutton items are more tastier then Karims. A must try item would be their butter tangri kebab, chiken jahagiri with best of the best Khamiri Roti.the taste will blow your mind n taste buds.n after all, everything is with a good budget.which is friendly to our pockets.

Got food poisoned lasted about a week with the loose motion. Vomited 5 times. Terrible food never going again. Hotel Looked fancy thought the food was better but I was wrong. Perfect example of looks can be deceiving. Eat at your own risk.

You have to wait approx 20 to 30 minutes to get your order on your table. Taste is also not so extra ordinary. You have to pay bill only in cash. More options are available in that street.

So much crowdy place, even customer have to wait for minimum 20 minutes or more at restaurant for a table. Always keep cash as their online system not working. Order one by one item so that you enjoy all the food. The taste is fine.

Very few restaurants are keeping clean environments in Jama masjid area, and Al jawahar restaurant is one of them. Price is little high but you will get a better service and real tasty mughul foods. If you have a plan to visit the restaurant, better to carry cash with you because sometimes card reading machine went into failure mode.

Good restaurant. The food is good. Reasonably clean. Try the mutton Rogan Josh and Chicken Changezi.

Stale, cold food. The restaurant's quality has fallen drastically. Lack of good eating options in that area have kept its footfall still remaining more or less at pre-pandemic levels. Can be avoided.

Best chicken everrr. You new in delhi try chicken here. You'll love it.

Biryani is too bad in taste, I had worse experience in tasting the biryani. I suggest not to order biryani here.

It is a Jama Masjid experience, they serve authentic traditional sumptuous food. The place is a buzz. The place looks simple but the food is laden with intricacies mastered for centuries. It's just 2 minutes walk from Jama Masjid.

People say it's expensive. But getting a pasta of around rupees 500 from unplugged courtyard (L block middle circle CP) and then complaining about rupees 400 chicken qorma which will satisfy a pack of three people! A mere hypocrite remark! But then if you only came to eat there then just don't stop yourself at the start but please do explore the different lanes because the whole place gives out the exiquisite aroma and very rich variety of delicacies waiting to be tried out.

The food was very tasty, specially the Chicken Changrezi, a delight for spicy food lovers. Located just opposite to the Jama Masjid.

Worst Biryani ever.unlike what articles over the internet suggest. Please don't go for Biryani.it's highly overrated

Food is worst, not worth of rates at all, veri big pieces, cant chew and had to keep aside! Mutton serve cold and had to ask for reheat, lukewarm services, first and last visit for me and my family to this restaurent!)

Had a great experience here. Deducting one star only for that they don't accept UPI payments. Better to add this option.

It is just over rated. The food was average i guess below average. I expected much more. Even the biryani in street would taste better than this i guess. Willl suggest you all to go somewhere else to have something to eat.

Food was too yummy. I can't explain more everything was good. Service is good. Interior is better than others in that area. Loved the food must go place.

Absolutely Amazing and tasty dish Chicken Jehangiri. Very good preparation. Service is slow but compensated by the tasty food.

I went to their hotel. They are so impatient and are there to loot your all money. They have got no manners and they will not let you sit and eat properly. Apart from that the amount of food you will pay here for food is equivalent to 4 star hotel. I wish if i could give negative stars.

The restaurant has different varieties of dishes. The staff here are good. I was short of Rs. 23 to my bill. They did not mind anything and let me go. At that card swiper is not working. The taste of the dish is ultimate.

Visited after reading reviews and watching vlogs on YouTube. Tried Mutton Nihari and tandoori roti. Nihari was okish. But service is fast and waters are polite.

Food was average quality & biryani was very disgusting.
Chicken Kali mirch & mutton korma white has same taste & same gravy.
Less food Quantities as compared to the rates.

Being a non vegetarian I can say, Purani dilli stands at the top of chart for soulful non-vegetarian dishes. My favourite being mutton nihari

Taste and portion of food is just awesome. Totally value for money with a wide variety of non vegetarian options. The only drawback of this restaurant is, that it is cash-only. There's one Swipe machine that barely works. So pls make sure you carry cash while coming here to dine.

Quality and price seems to be overrated of the place. Actually its situated in a prime location therefore prices are very high in comparison to other restaurant's of this locality.

It used to be my favorite restaurant, but the quality of food, the hygiene and service ALL have deteriorated over the years. Today I went there for the last time. I was short of cash and they said their card machine was broken (as usual) … they refused to take UPI payment and made me run a kilometer to get cash for the payment. Pathetic!

The Friday post-Jummah at Jama Masjid was screaming for a scrumptious meal and we decided to hop on to Al Jawahar for the treat. We reached the place just after concluding our prayers; still, the eatery was considerably empty.

We ordered a plate of Mutton Nihari along with an assortment of bread - Tandoori & Rumali Roti. The interior of the restaurant is nicely maintained, the place is fairly clean and the place is apt for a family dine-in.

The meal was served fast, the Nihari tasted well, the Tandoori Roti was served which tasted exquisite. The Rumali, however, did seem to be a bit on the lower side. As per the price, the quantity of Nihari was comparatively less, but it was meted up by the delicious taste.

Finally, we were about to exit with smiles on our faces but the server came to inform us that no kind of online payments was available at that particular time. We were short of cash and hence it took a lot of trouble to pay and then we realized that the server, just to pocket in few bucks and to overcharge us, played the dirty game. The server at Al Jawahar charged us approximately ₹30 extra on a ₹270 meal but the length we had to go through just to pay the bill was not worth the hassle.

Such a ridiculous dining I ever had. They serve you in very less quantity and uncooked food. Today I went there for lunch and nihari mutton was uncooked. Do not visit there. You will waste your time there.

Half cooked food was served and such exorbitant prices. A big No No to this place. Only cash and card payment is accepted.

I ordered hot garlic chicken and Chicken Schezwan fried rice.
Hot garlic chicken: taste is average and 8 average pics.taste more like chili chicken.

Chicken Schezwan fried rice: Not at all taste like Schezwan, low priced rice quality but chicken pics are good in size.

All the way the quality of the food is average.

Food is amazing But Chicken Changezi is to spicy for an average person so please keep that in mind. They also make it less spicier if you want after trying it so don't eat that much spicy if you are uncomfortable. Also the service is also slow. But overall experience was nice.

The ambience of the place has completely been revamped. The lighting and the service justifies the price they're charging.

Tried the Nahari and Badam Pasanda, both of them were freshly prepared and the quantity was much better as compared to Karim's.

It is easily accessible as it's just at the start of the lane. Will surely recommend it to people looking for quality food.

Best time to visit on Jumma else you can visit any day.

Just few metre away from Jama Masjid. Situated in crowded place. People visit her for non-vegetarian options so just 1-2 vegetarian options available and that also too bad. Lot of seatings are available divided on two floors. Quite expensive place to eat.

I love the taste of Al jawahar. Nahari is too yum i love to eat here i am love in with al jawahar the service is too good. Thank you al jawahar to eat the tasty food.

A hype place not worth the price.had heard about this place from a office colleague who suggested to visit this place and not Kareem's which was a very bad choice for me to take but took it as my colleague sounded confident. But after consuming the food all I can say is that this restaurant does not match the level of other iconic restaurants in and around Delhi

Chicken means Al Jawahar. I can never forget the taste of chicken and biryani was awesome. They serve one of the best chicken i ever ate in my life all the non-veg is amazing and taste is amazing. I will be visiting you again soon.

This place is mind blowingly famous for their nonveg food in Delhi near Jama Masjid, i had a chance to visit this place last week and i tried their menu's best item Chicken Changezi with Kameeri Roti, both were lip smacking and perfectly made and served, they serve Half Chicken Changezi for 360/- and the quantity is very much which can be taken as full.

Their Nihari is also a must try.

Avoid Mutton Shaami Kebab.

The food here is to die for. Just ask the waiter to see very you the specials and don't look at the menu. Both chicken and mutton curries are amazing. The bread they serve with it is soft and tastes great.

Ahh! Authentic place for some authentic mughlai cuisine. Had Dal Gosht and khameeri roti and it was so delicious also had seekh kebabs with rumali roti. Service is quite slow as the tables are almost occupied or the restaurant is running full. Its a paradise for non Vegetarians. After main course don't forget to have feerni (Kheer).

Had dinner here and tasted the best food I’ve eaten in Delhi by far. It must be a local favorite too as it was super crowded during dinnertime and you can see the numerous practiced waiters moving purposefully about their business. I’ve long forgotten the name of the pancake thingy I ordered but IT WAS GOOD!

Relatively tidier place to eat. Have been there 4-5 times and it has never disappointed us. Mutton korma is excellent, as is rumali roti. If you’re looking for a healthy meal this is definitely not your destination. Meals are rich in taste, masala and probably that is the reason they are delicious Had 3 levels of seating, which was a much needed initiative. Serving speed is fast, portion sizes are good

After all the hype around Karim's will eventually end, people will realise that Al Jawahar is also one of the good options to try Mughal cuisine in Old Delhi.
I ate Mutton Korma - very oily and greasy (I suppose that is the way it is served.) but quite delicious. The signature roti (bread) was also crunchy and freshly baked.
