It’s one of the oldest places where you get the typical Delhi biryani with gravy and they’ve been luckily been able to maintain their flavours and standard with time without getting compromised. On OG biryani place definitely must visit!
Non veg is okay, not to my taste I am a fan of kake da hotel Food is not so spicy Roti Is good Looked like deep and dark place Making roti and food inside Lots of people were eating
Wah.must try is mutton curry with tandoori roti.biryani also recommended though i loved the curry more! Very simple restaurant, steel plates and instant serving! Excellent mutton! Loved it!
The curry is too good. Didn’t like the chicken portions but yes if you are a true lover of good desi food then this is a place not to be missed. Has been in operation from the last 45 years and is a family run Dhaba. Hasn’t changed since the time beginning and brings in the old delhi feeling.
So I went there to have Egg Biryani (because I don't eat non veg). However, the biryani was not as I expected. It was merely average. It wasn't spicy or oily or anything. It looked and tasted like ordinary cooked rice. And for egg briyani, there were two boiled egg between them.
Don't specially head to this place at least for egg biryani. I don't know about non veg items.
Worst place for Mumbaikars. You get Chicken dishes. But whole chicken is being served without making them into small and eatable pieces. Chicken is not properly cooked. Service is pathetic. Water is being charged Rs. 23 + 2 for plastic glass.
Location is not difficult to find.i heard about this a long time ago and decided to give it a visit. This restaurant is a hub for People who work nearby to get meals for the day. They serve both vegetation and non-vegetarian food. Sufficient space for dine-in. Staff and service is really good. I tried chicken biryani and Non-veg thali. This place os famous for biryani and its really worth visiting. The texture of chicken was very soft with flavours added on top of rice. I loved it.
Non veg food here is awesome. The ambience of the restaurant is as if one is sitting in 1980s restaurants depicted in Bollywood movies where the fight scenes used to happen.
I never had a Biryani like that anywhere.the taste is tooo different from others and it's very very tasty.the quantity is good. The restaurant might very old but it's clean nd looks good I will again go there if i get chance
A proper dhaba ambience with proper dhaba food at a reasonable price in delhi. Location can be a disappointment, Its located inside a lane just infront of the Janpath Market.
It has its ethnicity but the taste and quality is high degraded. I ordered mutton biryani and found chicken pieces in it. And the fish curry had stale fish. The staff is very rude and mannerless. Very bad and third class ambience. Not a worthy place to go.
Come here for food and service only. Portion sizes are higher than expected. I try to come here evertime I am around this place. Never disappoints. It ain't your typical quaint place where I'd go on my first date because it might feel like dingy at first, but would be a deal breaker if she didn't like it on the subsequent ones.
An absolutely amazing restaurant to have authentic and delicious food at low prices. Provides both veg and non veg starters and main course. Their butter chicken and seekh kebab are must try.though sitting is too old style
The food was not at all tasty. Don't know why this restaurant is so famous I tried biriyani it was pathetic So was the other dish Only this was good was the Salon along with biriyani
Best for chicken & mutton Briyani. But over there you will get all variates of fried & gravy Non-veg item, and also Veg items too. Old shop in cp with 90s songs & interior look.
Many people would like biriyani there But it was not biriyani it was a pulav Taste was not at all good In terms of expenses it is absolutely affordable Salad/salon is good which is served with biriyani
Ambience not good. Food not worthy specially veg. For Non veg you can give try. In respect to cost it's cheap and you can a good quantity of food in little price. We were 6 people and it costed us Rs. 1800 in total. We ordered veg and non veg both. Overall the taste was below average. Dont expect hygiene there.
Here you will get the best mutton rogan josh. And the best thing is that i am coming to this place frommmy childhood and since then the recipe and taste is same.
Pathetic food. We ordered veg biryani dal fry and garlic naan, veg biryani was semi cooked taste was below avg and daal fry was full of water without dal in it we can name it as water fry, garlic naan without garlic but with some tiny stones in it. Waste of money.
Good place, food is tasty and economical, the ambience is kind of retro. I am giving 4 stars since they need to work on their interior and cleaniness more.
Undoubtedly the best place in NCR for non vegetarians to have spicy food. The onions dipped in vinegar and spicy chutney adds flavour to every dish. Daal Makhani and Lachchha Parantha is another great combo.
Good food, quick service, moderately priced. May not fit in the upper/ upper middle-class taste of ambience, but i liked it. Clean, neat, tasty food at a reason2price with decent comfort level. Liked it. Wd visit ahain when there.
Non Veg is very delicious ‘ especially Biryani which is a must try. Food arrived quickly when ordered despite Place was crowded. In Veg try only biryani. Ambience is ok type.
Tucked in a modest lane in CP, Anand's is an oasis for hungry people who do not want to spend a bomb for a regular meal and yet have fulfilling taste. The decor and ambiance is old school and rustic and leaves you in an aura of the past while enjoying comforting food and thinking about the future. The cost of food is reasonable considering it is located in CP. This place is a legend when it comes to food especially their non vegetarian dishes. The decor is not fancy, the food is and isn't it the right thing to be fancy at being a restaurant?
This place is located in heart of Delhi Connaught Place. There usually open till 11 to 11: 30 p.m. And they will serve you take away Biryani till 12 to 12 30 pm.
Awesome food with rich curries that will blow your mind and you will forget all five star restaurants that you might have visited.
There world famous in CP for their tandoori chicken and biryani.
If you visit this place don't get disappointed with the Ambience and the entrance of the location just concentrate on the food they serve.
They can work little bit on food presentation and neatness of the restaurant.
Important things they only accept cash no card Sodexo accepted is accepted here
Only disappointing thing they don't have a washroom inside.
Worst experience charge 100 RS for Single garlic naan ans also ordered chicken biryani and it was not at all like biryani because gravy was there in the rice and chicken piece was too big it was really hard to chew.so just waist of money.
The place is really famous for its chicken and mutton biryani. The taste of biryani is good, however there are few things that I didn't like here. They don't serve curd along with biryani, you have to order it separately. Secondly, the taste of water that they served wasn't good.
Food is excellent but hygiene is a big problem.it's an old place with some amazing music in the background and Biryani is really spicy but good.if you are not too much into hygiene and ok to dine at local places you must try this out. One star less for only hygiene otherwise it's great place for lunch.
Perfect retro ambience. Best biryani in town seriously i cannot resist to eat biryani over here. Spicy biryani with perfect ambience. Pocket friendly. Every coin have 2 sides so the other side is that the lighting inside the restaurant is not sufficient you find hard to see in the first 1 min because of the high level of light outside
Old is gold. And quality is good. It's just lacks in the cleanliness department a bit.but given the urgency of people eating there at lunch time.its not much of an issue it seems. Cost is pretty good.
Good food. Brain Curry was great but losing the taste. The Non Veg thali was also great. 1 Butter Chicken, 1 Mutton Curry, Veg Biryani, 2 Butter roti, Curd, Salad.
Butter Chicken tasted stale. Mutton was good. Curd was also not fresh. A nice place to be visited as a dhabba but not the standards of a good restaurant.
Nice place and good choice only for non vegetarians. Primarily the biryani lovers would like this place. Can come with family and friends. Drinks (liquor) not allowed inside.
I absolutely loved this place. Its a hidden gem in CP. Though this place appears to be really shady and the setup is really old but it can prove to be a saviour if you are broke and stuck in CP. I had really amazing chicken biryani and keema biryani. They were a blessing to my tatsebuds. The biryani was topped with gravy. I just wished it was little less spicy but apart from that the food was awesome. It's a must visit.
The Biryani is their most popular item but if you love your Biryani with the powerpunch of HyderabadI style or Nazakat of Lucknow style - this ones’ not for you. The tandoori chicken is a different level as is Tandoor paneer.
This little shack of a dingy place your first instinct is to back off from this seedy looking joint and then you smell the aromas drifting in and see some Perry smart sophisticated folks a few foreigners and change your mind.
And experience an awesome very reasonably priced awesome cuisine.
Near Janpath road in Cannought place. The place is slightly creepy as it is inside a lane. Restaurant is very old and they have good sitting space but Ambience is not so good. Although the food is great, must try Butter Chicken and Biryani.
