In the hustle and bustle of the South Ex market this is one place you can sit down and enjoy your food and they are really good at what they do simply awesome. The only minor hiccup being the parking not available near the shop.
Bengal Sweet in South Extension -1 has been running for as long as I can remember. This gives me a sense of confidence to go there whenever we are in that market. It serves comfort food that Delhi-ites love. Chole Bhature, Pav Bhaji, Dosa, Idli et al. The qulaity and taste are consistently good. Whenever you are in that market and feel hungry visit Benga Sweet and you wouldn't be disappointed.
Too dirty, they clean tables and throw the garbage on the floor, and no one clears to the floor. Badam milk was tooo sweet. Aloo Tikki without onion and dahi it was really weird
I recently dined at the Bengali Sweet Centre in South Extension I, New Delhi, and it was a delightful experience. The quality of the food they offer is truly commendable, delivering flavors that stay true to the essence of Bengali cuisine.
The ambiance at the restaurant is both comfortable and inviting, creating a pleasant atmosphere for dining with friends or family.
What truly shines here, though, are their delectable Bengali sweets. From rasgullas to sandesh and a variety of other sweet treats, each bite transported me to the heart of Bengal.
If you're in the mood for authentic Bengali cuisine and crave high-quality sweets, the Bengali Sweet Centre is a hidden gem in New Delhi. It's a wonderful place to savor the essence of Bengal's culinary traditions.
ऊंची दुकान, फीकी पकवान! This phase is absolutely suitable for this Shop. Just because this Shop is old and situated in South-Ex, lots of people do visit here.
The dhokla was excellent along with their yellow chutney. Paneer Jalebi, Khandvi were passable. Chat items were Ok. We tried Dahi Golgappe which were average at best. Hygiene is questionable.
Very very COSTLY But deserving BCZ of CLEANINESS & PROMTNESS of STAFF. THE Taste of the dishes is as it should be- NOT anything EXTRA-SPECIAL Considering the PRICES of the ITEMS.
Super expensive street food. You can see people stepping out of their mercedes and BMWs to show their loyalty to the restaurant. Well, I went there by metro, so if you are one of those merc and beamer person, sorry. I understand that few restaurants make their mark and get famous. But I still feel that there should be a limit to what price you are quoting for what food. For example, no matter how good your panipuri is, you can't sell it for 130rs for 10pcs. Like what? It is still panipuri. Taste was good, but I could not help compare it with the price. Bhai, uske hisaab se to okayish hi laga
Amazing food with quick service. I tried Amritsari platter which had 2 onion kulchas, 1 chole, 1 dal makhani, 1 raita along with pickle & papad. The kulcha was very well prepared. The best part was that everything served was hot which made my experience truly worthy.
Good sweets shop. One of old sweet shop in South Delhi. Rate of products just like South Delhi rate. Little bit expensive. But they maintain quality, hygiene and taste. Big and good sweet shops. Old bangla taste they maintain. It is one of big sweet near area. So I like it.
Today, we ordered Falooda Kulfi from them and while eating, we discovered small pieces of broken glass in it. As it was ordered through Zomato, we complained to them, together with the photograph. According to Zomato customer care, they contacted Bengali Sweet Centre to replace or refund the customer. They simply refused. This is criminal offence. This broken glass in their food can harm someone internally. Health authorities of India should do something. But everyone knows, they won't.
The taste of all sweets which I have tried one by one over period of time either has not changed or has improved, amazing authentic taste and cooperative staff, loved this place.
Average food, Haldiram's better. I am surprised even after being in business for so long and in such a premium location, there's no attention to detail or to upgrade the experience. Same old middle class experience.
The only plus point is it's location. Please avoid eating here rather go to a street food stall and you will get better food in half price or even less.
We had Bedmi Aloo. But the Bedmi was so thick, that it was very difficult to eat. Aloo subzi was also not UP to the mark. No methi chatni was served. We requested, then it came. Very funny to See that they serve Onion with Bedmi Aloo. But the thing is that in South Ex, if u get this, then it is acceptable otherwise go to old Delhi at Shiv Misthan Bhandar, Kucha Gaasi Ram.
Bengali sweet Center as the name suggests doesn't only offer sweets but also snacks. It has a dining area too and offers all types of cuisines right from chaats to Chinese to Italian.
I am big fan of its amritsari platter and moong daal halwa. In winters it's my favorite spot for gazar halwa and moong daal halwa. Budget friendly place with awesome quality food.
The food taste was not so good as expected from Bengali sweets. I am regular customer from past 12 years but yesterday experience was very bad. Pav Bhaji taste was not same as before. Masala Dosa was tasteless. You can not eat more then 5-6 spoons on sambhar and chutney. Finally I ordered Chinese platter thinking that this will taste good but I was wrong. There was so much salt and food was tasting worst then street hawkers. The best part of whole food was Lime soda which anyone can make. Now I will have to think twice before visiting Bengali sweets. Please improve your food quality as customer expectations are very high from you.
If you love traditional Bengali Sweets then must visit. Range varies from Rasagolla to high end meva based sweets. Near south ex 1 and a little bit inside towards Kotla Mubarpur New Delh.
But as a Bengali person there are no bengali items are available mainly in main course where you mentioned some food name as "Bengali special thali" but there are no items linked to Bengali.
I have ordered some foods first time from there, and it was not fresh, the taste of it was too disgusting. First impression matters always, from now I will not think to order from there, More over I would like to suggest u that don't do that with anyone else again.
Pathetic not value for money food quality is not up to the mark i have ordered 4 chat papri but the way they send the order is so pathetic please don't waste your money here
The to go place for sweet and savory stuff, caters to all palates, pure vegetarian, good service, adorable process, tasty yummy mouth watering delicacies. Need i say more!
Bengal sweet center has been in south ex for a long long times. It has seen many changes to the market, yet remaining the same. It amazing plaxe to sweets, snacks and breakfast lunch n dinner. All the items on the menu and sweet shop are delicious. You can close your eyes n pick anyting. I specially love their chole bhatoore n aloo tikki chat. V v close t south ext metro, hardy n minutes walk. It has reasonably good seating arrangement and the service is effixient and fast. Pricing of food is also reasonable though sweets are expensive but equally compensated by quality n taste. Parkng is difficult so park n the main parking provided by mcd n walk over. A must visit for food lovers. On my success scale l would give 9/10.
Has not changed a bit in the last 12-14 years. Have always had a great meal, with a lot of options from Indian cuisine to manchurian noodles to street food to desserts. Staff does not change same old people serving. Probably the best casual restaurant in South Ex, for a long long time. I always look forward for a meal here, whenever I am around.
I feel really bad! From last 3 days im eating here and ordering food wid raitha or curd thinking it wil be good today or someday. Since 3 days they are serving spoilt fully khatta curd and raitha! I mean such big restaurant doesnt have a fridge? Or u dont care?
Bengali Sweet Centre doesn't only serve delicious sweets but aslo wide range of Indian chat, India platters and Chinese combos. Try the Pav bhajhi, Dhokla, and Chole bhature.
Bengali sweet centre.located at South ex.market.one of the famous veg restaurant of south ex. Food quality is very good. You will get many options to choose from.love to visit again.
It's one of the oldest sweet shops in South Extension Part 1. Just in one corner of the market. Somewhat like Haldirams. Seating space on the ground floor is a bit congested because of the sweet counter. It is more spacious on the first floor. The whole area is air-conditioned. Quality of food is average. A good joint for a quick bite.
Worst. Don't go here! Worst taste then Local Dhaba's at very high rate. I tried special #Maharaja Thali of 225Rs 2 rotis, Rice (with Stones), Paneer & Dal, Rayata. No sweet dish! Roti was badly smell, rice have stones with it and badly cook, paneer had a bad taste.
A little overrated but a nice place to hang out and have meal. The prices are also on a higher side. You can have there both sweet and savoury. There is place for dinner in also. Great variety of sweets is offered there. Also it's in the market area.
Had my Second breakfast meeting this week. If you don't mind a heavy breakfast, you should head here at 9 am. Kachori sabzi is great.fresh and steaming. Not crowded. Good start of the day.
