I had bought a sitar from bharat music house and frequented the store several times to get broken strings replaced. Today i went to get the 1st sitar string (baaj ki taar) replaced as i had broken mine. For some unknown reason, i don't want to come across rude to the owners, the string which was supposed to be #3 0.12" was replaced by a #2 steel string.
I bought the sitar home and then found out the difference. It is partly my fault as well, i should have checked it in the store itself and pointed out that the string seemed thinner than usual.
As i started to play the sitar string and pulled it on the fret to make use of meend, it snapped right there.

At the outset, out of 3 to 4 visits of mine this was the only slightly bad one. But it wasnt all the owner's fault.
Otherwise, each and every person in the store is very good and everyone has communication etiquette.
Overall my experiences with them were good.

Reducing to 3 stars today (had given 4 before) with a very heavy heart. I went to the outlet today to get my sitar repaired. The last time, uncle ji (the one who repairs my sitar) had helped me out with a problem but the solution he did was a makeshift solution, a temporary one.

Today it gave away and my sitar was not playable anymore. I took it to him and he repeated the same makeshift thing but at the end of the repair I wasnt satisfied with the sound of my sitar. I told him that uncle ji mujhe chikaari ki awaaz achchi nahi lag ri (one of the drone cords didnt sound as sharp and good). In a very off-putting way he said "kahi aur dikha lo apna sitar". This felt really very very odd and kind of demotivating. The thing is, I am their only customer who plays a sitar (i guess) so it is convenient for them to say so. But whatever be the reason, today was very very very saddening and off-putting.
I asked him when will the exact part of the instrument be arriving at your outlet so that I can get it repaired and he monotonously replied next week.

Well I can't wait for one entire week and so I will take his advice seriously and consider taking my sitar to another shop in hopes of getting it patched up quicker.

I sincerely thought that this shop was the best when it came to helping out their customers but I have been proven wrong.

Hopefully my next visit to the outlet will be somewhat better. And from now on, I will be updating each visit I make to the outlet here.

I had to go once again to the outlet for the above mentioned problem. Apparently, they are the only ones in the area who can repair sitars. But this time, my instrument was repaired very very well. So once again, I think I will give them 4 stars as my most recent experience wasn't bad at all.

Bharat Music House is one stop shop for any music instruments requirement you have. From every small to big instrument and its accessories, you can easily find out here. The shops is easily accessible via good road and have a decent parking space too in front of it.
They also do repair of the instruments and they are the experts of it.
Very well organised and courteous staff.
A must place visit in case of any requirement from the musical instruments or accessories perspective.

3 years ago i rated them with 4 stars but now these guys don't need much business.

So you can expect misbehaviour and poor service and their greatness is they don't even bothered and regret about that.

Here is a tip: If you want to experience their pathetic service first hand, just record a video when you give any product for service and another one while you go for pickup that product.

Their arrogance is higher than their already high prices. One out of the 3 brothers running this shop is keen to rob your pocket after giving you prices higher than MRP.
I would recommend you to buy from Raj Musicals or Amazon instead.

Very poor knowledge guy. Sell/Recommend you anything in the name of 5.1 sound card. But after sale if you ask how its work/interface or if you face any problem technically.he will talk about the acoustics of your room.

If you are Beginner to any instrument, then this place is full of thugs, And please don’t go for service of your instruments The rate diff is too high, they’ll charge you 1000 of 300 Rs items in shorts they are only zugadu not professional in term of services and zugads remains only few days

Pathetic service, they don't even accept their mistakes instead of apologizing they blame customers but still they are good at behaviour but still one of them is quite arrogant to deal with. I fixed my guitar neck band and brige with them, not also the guitar started bending again and they put nut and screws in my bridge without letting me know and damaged my guitar but there was a payment issue too and they didn't check correctly from their end and blame me and put me in trouble for like 3 months from travelling bank to paytm to gpay customer care.
Won't visit them again.

One of best music stores I've visited the shop owners are polite and u will get nice shopping experience all around. I am a regular customer too.

Shop keeper is very polite in behaviour and stock is also good.you can visit the store for purchasing any kind of instrument or musical accessories.

Misplaced my string while changing the tuning peg. And changed it with a low quality one. Broke as soon as I got home and tried tuning it

In my opinion, I have been to Raj and other outlets in a week's time to find out one particular guitar and to my surprise, I had the best experience with Bharat Music house.

Undoubtedly they have everything you want, but the attitude of the owner is downright disrespectful and rude avoid this place at all cost. Learn to treat the customer better sardarji, I'm never visiting this store again.

My life time bad experience while dealing with shop owners sons. I cann't even think that any shop owner misbehave in this manner.after sales service is very bad.they will not listen your complaint

Very rude behaviour of owners sons, thay don't know how to talk with customers, even though if customer is not satisfied with there product, thay are puch them rudely and get them out and abused him very agressively. Don't go customer to bharat musicals because prices are very high as compare to other music shops even though instruments like harmonium and tabla are very bad. I mean to say totally time waste shop.

The collection they have is Massive. The staff is friendly and all your queries are answered well.

Great for repairs. But have most products at a slightly premium price, but evens out with Thier warranty.

The guitar bought was great no problem there the person who is dealing is really arroagant wont listen to you and pay attention to other talks he ignores anything which he would not like to here the cover given to me was too bad quality, I bought yamaha f310 1 week back they gave me a local cover which didnt have foam too buy from other outlets not here

The place is good, and services is also fair enough, the only thing I didn't liked was the time it took them to fix our equipment. Almost 2 weeks. Rest everything is good so far.
