Worst chhole bhature ever. Just hype and nothing else. Bhature were fried like 2 hours ago and just kept on tawa to make them hot for serving. Dahi bhalla was not fresh. Tikki was average. Guys if you want to enjoy good food the only place is old Delhi area like chdni chowk, sadar bazar. Begali market is big no

I visited 3 times during my stay in India.
On my first visit, the staff recommended dishes that suited my taste, and I thought it was a restaurant with a pretty good atmosphere for enjoying brunch. The surrounding environment and atmosphere were devoid of foreigners, and thanks to this, I was able to feel the leisurely sea like a remote island. Most of the meals were cheap and I was happy. I would be grateful if I were given the opportunity to visit again.

Went to get so called garma garam jalebi which they sell till 8pm. I even was told to wait. Eventually I was given a pack of jalebis which went cold till I reached home in few minutes. Poor service and attitude of the staff. Guess they just wanted to get rid of the unsold ones.

Food is generally upto the mark and it's your luck getting correct waiter for the job as there is one waiter who hardly listens to the instructions. Overall it's good and value for money is major factor

Over rated. It is like any other ordinary sweet shop of Delhi located in an upmarket locality.

Last night I went there and faced a "the worst" experience over there. They destroyed their popularity, their image. I was so excited to go there but it was a bizzare experience. The food quality was very low, their bhatura's were damm oily. Service of waiters was disgusting.

I have been to Bengali sweets several times.but today it has completely disappointed.as in our Office our Employee brought 10 packets (kachori, samosa, Gulab jamun, real juice & chips) due to the tag of Bengali sweets he dint cross check there, here the trust was broken, kachori was staled and very hard (all 10 kachoris were thrown including few samosas) and samosa was also not good.so guys plz make sure that if U bring anything packed check it there itself and dont go for the tag that if they r charging high so U will get authentic and fresh items only.stay alert stay safe stay healthy

What did I have?

Chole Bhature, Papdi Chaat, Kulfi Faluda, Rasmalai, Rabdi, Rasgulla.

Why did I order these items?

These were the items recommended by other reviewers at Zomato.

How was Ambiance, Service, Hygiene?

Ambiance: It is situated in Bengali Market. Now if you are situated in a market place where already there is a huge, regular gathering of hungry people, why would you waste money in creating an ambiance? So it doesn't.

Service: I guess it will range from average to good, depending on the staff's perception of how much you would tip ;)

Hygiene: For a restaurant which doesn't have much of an ambiance, this was hygienic enough for me.

How was the FOOD?

Chole Bhature: Bhature was nothing special except for the fact that it was neither oily nor (bread like) "chewy". Chole had a different taste than what I usually eat. Now I liked the taste but didn't love it. It will depend from person to person. So try it once and decide for yourself.

Papdi Chaat: Big disappointment for me. Except for the subtly flavored green chutney in it, which I really liked.

Kulfi Faluda & Rabri: I have eaten kulfi faluda only 3-4 times. But if this is an awesome kulfi faluda, then kulfi faluda is a dessert which I would avoid in the future! Same is the case wih Rabri.

Rasmalai and Rasgulla: Neither great! Nor bad, both of them are good!

So should you visit this place?

It is neither a place for fine dining nor is it a foodie's heaven.

It is actually a market place which you desperately search for, after getting a 'drop-dead' stare from your wife when you unwittingly asked her "what are you cooking for dinner? ", post an evening of hectic shopping:)

Visit it if you are near bengali market and looking for a place with reasonably good food and short waiting time.

It used to be good place to enjoy food, but it’s not good anymore. Hygiene is a big issue. The new generation is not serious about running the shop efficiently

March 2020
The sweets available are really the most delicious. However, I got them packed for later.
I had Amritsari paneer stuffed Kulcha with chana and it was as good as any that one can get anywhere else in India. The spices in the chana were just right, there was enough paneer in the stuffing, unlike at many other places. Well worth the money. The mixed veg manchurian was also delicious with the right mix of vegetables.
The ambience too is very pleasant and service quick.
Also very reasonably priced given the location and the crowd.

It was one of the good places pre-covid times. But, now they are practicing very unhygienic procedures in food preparation and service.

NOT RECOMMENDED if you value hygiene and safety

I went to this place today with my friend. We ordered a rajkachori and lemonade. Neither of them was good. Rajkachori was soft and the filling was bland whereas the lemonade was too sweet. I had to add water twice in it to make it taste normal. Otherwise the ambiance and service was good. Maybe their specialty is something else and we ordered the wrong this which is why we had an okayish experience.

Famous place in New Delhi for the traditional Bengali and Indian Sweets. A lot of shops having traditions dating back to 1930s are here selling Rosgullas, Ladoos, Golguppas, Kachoris, behlpuris can seen here.
Restaurents are also functioning along with these sweet shops.
A must visit place while in New Delhi

Gol Gappe! After some relaxation in COVID situation. HEAVEN! SIMPLY HEAVEN.

Amazing taste with some precautions and you will surely relish it. The same taste which is one of the best.

It is a must try if you are around CP. Also try Dahi Bhalle for some treat to your taste buds.
Stay Safe.

The place is nice and the food is also good but it can average sometimes!
So that and the sweets are really nice.
I would recommend not to go on holidays or sundays as it is quite full.
Recommended food: Indian and Indian sweets
We had Indian, sweets and sizzler there I would say the indian food is good but the sizzler wasn't as good.
Overall it's a clean place, nice and friendly staff and good to average food.
So I would give it 4/5.
Hope my review will help you!
