It was a Rather unpleasant experience of us to visit this place, we went to the place with our furry baby since they mention that this is is pet friendly place, however this turned out to be a traumatic experience for our fur baby since we encountered a lady that didn’t even washed her hands and had smelly hands and she touched our pet through the same hands and she touched our pet roughly, having this our pet barked at her and she threatened to get us thrown out from the place and none of the staff came to our aid.
This used to be one of the best places to relish a sandwich and coffee but since it has become famous and unfortunately so, the standards have massively fallen that too in just a short while. The sandwich always feels slimy. More so, on explicitly explaining your customisation, they first end up getting the wrong sandwich and when you complain they give you the same sandwich by adding and deleting what you asked. Hence its served cold. Also why do they even give fries anymore? Because the plate has like 6 fries. 2 stars only because they’re still affiliated with Blue Tokai that happens to have too good of a coffee.
We went last week and waited for 15 mins but no-one seemed to be interested in cleaning up the table. It felt so disgusting to sit on a table full with leftovers and pile of tissues left by previous customers.
To add to the disappointment, yesterday when i ordered via swiggy, the 'Aladdin' sandwich, chips turned out to be soggy and burnt, sandwich bread all humid and patty was bitter, so all in all they sent me the sandwich which was made probably hours ago by just reheating it. It is such a shame that the cafe which was my favourite since last 2.5 years, has become a graveyard of my dead hope.
Usually a good place but the staff sucks big time. I especially asked what time they open their kitchen in the morning and the manager said 9, then next day when we went for breakfast they promply said it opens at 9.30. Really disappointed and appalled
Big fat sandwich is mostly a work friendly cafe.but you can always go w your friend for a casual brunch or breakfast. There sandwich options are both healthy and tasty.
We ordered homemade tea and one veg burrah sandwich. The taste, presentation and service was very good however the prices are very high. The tea was for INR 190 and the sandwich for INR 290. Considering the ambience, quality and quantity, it seemed a bit too pricey. We could expect these prices at an upmarket hotel but not at such a cafe.
Alot of people get pets - and they eat out of the same saucers which are meant for humans. I get very uncomfortable with this. Overpriced - service isn't great; Hygeine levels are questionable.
Big Fat Sandwich has a wide menu and we ordered pesto pasta with chicken. Not only did it look Insta worthy but tasted great? A nice chill place to work or hangout.also has the lovely Blue Tokai coffee branch within!
I love the food here. It's one of my fav place to be in but every single time their one air conditioning is not working. It's so HOT in there, practically making it difficult to eat delicious food. Last time I couldn't take the heat the left without coffee. Earlier to that had my coffee with dropping sweat. CHOOSE- food with sweat but somedays it's worth it, other times- frustrating AF.
Told me to get the order ready in 5 minutes and gave it to me after 40 minutes.that too of course Absolutely rubbish service such service I have not dekhi in my whole life
They are confused about the recipes it seems. Ordered egg Benedict which was mixture of 2 recipes egg Benedict and egg Florentine. Their club sandwich was a joke, less quality and weird kind of bread was used. Would not recommend.
I also wanted to visit this place, since a while, recently i visited and I loved there sandwiches, we had ordered the grandma's special and the morning after. Grandma's special is worth trying, we ordered almond croissant and it's just
Considering the neighbourhood doesn't have a lot of options, BFS Hauz khas is a decent place for lunch n work. They do seem to have issues in consistency and i better like the menu of BFS GK.
This is a partnership between Blue Tokai and Big Fat. It is operated by Big Fat staff, who were not overly friendly, and seemed tired and stressed. I also found that they were talking quite loudly in the back of the restaurant, which was a bit distracting. Food is delicious though, and there are tons of options thanks to the partnership between these two companies. Ordered peppermint mocha, light cold brew coffee, The Firecracker sandwich, and an open-faced El Toro sandwich. Big Fat food presentation was great, and portions were generous. WiFi is fast, plug points are abundant, and there is a water cooler in case you're working all day. Oh, and the place is pet-friendly! Overall, I would recommend this café/restaurant, but staff need to up their game to meet the standards that Blue Tokai has set elsewhere.
Hogged on to this place for lunch after college today with Divya Kurian and had a really extravagant time here. The ambiance is quite good and the place is also good for sitting and working which quite a few people were there for. Also there is some really good menu in the place. It has a collaboration with Miami and Blue Tokai coffee which you can enjoy sitting at same place. We had: - the firecracker sandwich - overloaded potato sandwich - Patata style Hot and mayo fries - Original Crossient - Ginger and Ice fizzy mint drink Everything was up to the mark and my taste it was served with regular potato waffers and it just made my day. Have seat here to get a pure bliss of your day ️
What a lovely place to grab some healthier snacks and also nobody does sandwich likes them which are full of taste. Mushaboom is our personal favourite, cant have enough of it. Mom’s special was average in taste for us but was something unique. Blue tokai coffees they setve are a must try for you people especially cold mocha. The interiors are great and service is fast. Staff is friendly and ambience is so nice
This place calls itself pet-friendly but if you drop in with your pets they won't get anything to eat as they don't have any thing to offer for your pets.
Pathetic service. Had a grilled cheese sandwich here and another one of their popular choices. Business must be going really well since they don't give a damn about the taste of what they're serving. Apart from that I was especially disappointed to see that Miam inspite of having their corner of the shop open did not bother to leave someone there to serve but very conveniently left it to the devices of the bfs waiter who told me that he had idea of what is what I can choose what I like. For the amount of money they expect for their mediocre products, the least I'd expect is not such ignorant and casual attitude. I went there with high hopes and came back never wanting to go there again. Buck up.
Loved this place. The coffee is excellent, the food is great, and the service is friendly. I’ve actually been to this place over a couple of years, and it gladdens me to observe that they have maintained their quality.
The only suggestion I would make is it would be great if they had a couple of baby-chairs. It would be really helpful then to come here with a toddler.
I really love this place- the ambience, the food, the coffee. It's a small place so it does get crowded rather quickly. The service is a bit slow but the food doesn't disappoint. This is also the only place where you can get a rich cup of coffee (I think they use blue tokai). Good for a lazy weekend breakfast
A good ambience, located in a posh locale. The food is great albeit a bit experimental. Make sure you try both their veg and non veg options. It's a small place so seating isn't always available but very cosy and you can easily spend hours there.
