I am a big fan of South Indian food. I thought I had tasted it all but I was wrong what I tasted in Carnatic Cafe is just out of the world. Started with hot filter coffee and then moved to Paddu’s- so so delicious! They are piping, hot and every bite is full of flavour. Must have! Next r dosas.they have a wide range difficult to choose from. We tasted Malleshwaram at first visit and Bombat in second. OMG both are delicious! The most difficult part is to find a place here. Make sure to have half an hour at hand. Or go early morning at 10 am. Luckily we found a place quickly both times. The best part is the very courteous staff here. Always with a wonderful smile. Keep it up. Planning to visit soon again
Ok.so the food is excellent.at par! Being a south Indian and having lived in karnataka for a long time. I can say the food is really good and very authentic.however. I am disappointed with the guys who work there.they seem frustrated.they put their fingers while getting the sambar bowl or chutney bowl.so that makes my visit less appetizing.very laid back sad service with no attention to serving. I'm not the kinds that need perfect service.just don't want anyone to put their nails into my chutney when bring the plate to my table. I've noticed this multiple times.so please you guys.you can do better!
Delightful culinary experience! I thoroughly enjoy the delectable chutneys and flavorful sambar that accompany their breakfast offerings. Undoubtedly, it stands out as one of my preferred South Indian breakfast destinations.
One of the best restaurants for South Indian cuisine Delhi has to offer. Be warned that there is a fair rush and you might have to wait up to 40 minutes during lunch and dinner peak timings
We ordered Malleswaram dosa and Bombay dosa. Both were too oily. Seriously. I wasn't even able to finish it because of the oil intake. It was literally too much as if it was being soaked in oil. Didn't like it that much
Had breakfast here two days in a row, everything we tried was really tasty, everything was clean and very reasonably priced. You had both spicy and less spicy options, so perfect for travelers. Would absolutely recommend if you’re staying nearby. Lots of vegetarian options as well
This Cafe serves amazing authentic dishes of karnatak. Must try padu, thatte idli. Very famous cafe in this area. The food is excellent but the service is the worst. We went there on Sunday at 12.45 so we managed to get a table but after 1 Pm waiting started outside the cafe. There are only two waiters who are taking care of all tables. The whole time they look into the mobile. We have to speak loudly to call him. He forgot my kid's order to place in the kitchen. Very worst service by their staff. Food is excellent so people come. The price is expensive as per the quantity. Ice cream one scoop is Rs. 170/-
The Malleswaram 18th Cross is to die for, it is literally one of the best dosas you'll ever eat. Coupled with the sweet lime soda, you have one incredibly satiating meal.
Carnatic cafe has opened its branch in Max tower Sector 15 A Noida. It serves great food with great ambience. I really loved the food here, i had masala dosa, and tritpur soda. I loved it so much that i took my family members also. If you are looking for authentic vegetarian south indian dishes look no further than Carnatic cafe.
Fabulous food South Indian Dosa Vada Filter Coffee. You must ask the waiter whether you want crispy or soft Dosa. Sat & Sunday are busy. Shop has a nice view of the Park GK 2 M block. Credit card accepted.
The place is pretty basic and the cooling wasn't very effective. The filter coffee and snacks that we ordered was usual. The waiter stood with the menu even before we had settled down. Though we wanted a relaxed service but it was served within first 10 minutes. However, since the place had few people they didn't bother us for additional orders.
Food is amazing the dosa are absolutely crispy with tons of butter and spices. And budget wise it's a tad bit expensive to the average dosa prices we are used to paying but the food and quantity justifies the pricing.
The best karnataka food in Delhi. Would highly recommend the rice idli and wada. Majjige is class. Akki roti reminds me of home. Overall, amazing food.
One of the oldest genuine south indian restaurant in M block GK 2 market. They serve a real south indian food which is prepared with proper hygiene. Though it is not a crowded place, but a good ambience of place is worth visiting.

Quality and authentic South Indian dishes, of course it's prices at higher side, in comparison to Shravana Bhavan. Otherwise taste is good. They include 10% service charge.
Carnatic Cafe is my favorite south indian food joint. Their dosas are absolutely phenomenal and nothing beats their upma. My favorite is the Rava Masala Dosa because of the masala they give on the side- perfect amalgamation of spices. The 3 chutneys with it are also pretty good
Here I ordered fresh juices for me and my friend and I tried Dosa I.e Rava Onion and Onion masala.
The onion masala dosa was so different as it has onion masala filling inside and they give potato separately in small bowl. Rava onion was also nice. I also tried cucumber juice which was very refreshing.
One of the best South Indian places in Delhi, better than Sagar Ratna. The filter coffee reminded me of Bangalore. The chutneys were yummy and I will go there again just for the chutney if nothing else. We ordered bisibelebath, bombat, malleshwaram dosa and idly, and all the dishes are worth a try.
This restaurant, located in Greater Kailash - II, serves delicious South Indian vegetarian food. They also serve desserts including ice cream. Guava ice cream was something I tasted and liked so much, Saturday last. It is a cozy, homely space to enjoy food. The staff are pleasant and courteous. Food orders are served quickly.
Delicious food, idlys are super soft and fluffy, all three chutneys are perfectly made, so many varieties of dosas. Best part is that service is super fast. It's my favourite south Indian haunt.
It's a nice place, try to create a ambience worth Bomabt (dosa was nice very crispy) But the utpam was really sweet it was as it contains sugar They serve in black tray. Sambhar was not at all good Very thin Prices are also fine Serve ice cream in nariyal base Rest it's ok ok
A lovely food joint for all south Indian lovers. Loved the varieties and the taste.
Concept of having a unique combinations of south Indian meals is amazing. Love being going there on weekends. Hoping to see them coming up in Gurgaon soon.
Bringing out the best South Indian at your doorstep. This cafe located at New Friends colony offers just the perfect Dosa. Delectably crispy on the outside with proper filling inside. And yes it has lots of ghee. (not for the faint hearted: P). A mixture of South Indian Aroma and the beautiful interiors.this place is worth a visit. The chach is way awesome and go are their paddu. Its a must visit if you are the south-indian lover. Carnatic Cafe is a small cafe tucked in a corner of NFC market. This is a simple and elegant cafe. Though it is small, it has a regional touch to it. The staff is attentive, prompt and always smiling. The Mallaswaram 18th Cross dosa was absolutely delicious and a must have for everyone. It has different layers of spices and is crispy yet soft. It is served with a set of chutneys and sambhar which are equally scrumptious. The idli's are so soft and light and a must have with coconut chutney. The chach was yummy and refreshing too. The bill was reasonable as well. This place might have just changed my opinion about south indian food. It’s a must visit for everyone. The beautiful lively ambience combined with hearty food makes it one of the best places to fill up your tummy.
If u want a real authantic south indian food just give a try in m block market cafe or new friends colony cafe trust me u will love it and also drink that filter coffee after ur meal to complete.
It's a great place but I would say that their NFC outlet is much better. The sambhar over here was not much thick. It was great being here for dinner but at the same time I would have preferred the NFC outlet
Must try! one of my friend introduced this place to me.initially i was not ready to go for it as i am a hard core fan of sarvana bhawan.but when i tried there Malleshwaram 8th cross dosa.i was on cloud nine.it has a very distinct flavour which triggers your taste buds.it is served with 3 types of chutneys, sambar and potato masala in seperate. Dosa is not just a plane dosa.its filled with some south indian spices and dal paste. Also tried refreshing masala chach which was much needed for a sunny day.:)
Decent place to eat fresh South Indian idlis Dosas etc also reasonable for the area/ market. It’s mostly always full. Good for breakfast dinner is very crowded mostly. Fast service and good table turn timings. Go for a quick wholesome meal or snack. So far they have been able to maintain the quality inspite of the crowd. A must weekly fix if you live in GK II and feel lazy to cook. Only South Indian food lovers can appreciate. Try their Neer Dosa. No wheelchair approach.
