Their standards have decreased. They employeed some nonsense security guards who spoil our day. Highest harassment happens in that Library

Absolutely vile and disgusting mudhole of a library, located amidst congested offices and bureaus, and is filled up to the brim with useless books and reeks of filth. Terrible place

The Central Secretariat Library (CSL) is one of the oldest libraries of the Government of India and comes under Ministry of Culture. Since 1969 it is housed in G-Wing of the Shastri Bhawan.
Special Membership of the library can be given to eminent scholars, researchers, academicians and any other individual who is the resident of Delhi by submitting the required membership form along with two residential prove such as voter ID Card, Ration Card etc.
It is best place for studying nd staff is also good

Central Sectt. Library is the 2nd Asia's biggest Government Library situated in Shastry Bhawan for public for Research purpose, any one can become a member of this library who is heaving Delhi s residential prof. CSL is having a great / rich collection of documents books, government publication as well as foreign publication this is the best place for knowledge wish to visit again and again 175 to 200 students visit daily for study who is preparing for UPSC and other examination

Every month CSL is organised a book exhibition on verious subject

A very quite and clean place to be, one can study with no worries and a positive vibe around. Membership is only dor central government employees though others can access book within library and are not allowed to issue the same. This place opens at 8: 30am and closes at 6: 30pm.

Peaceful environment for self study in the reading rooms especially if u preparing for any entrance exam and need to study long hours.
