Cha Bar

It used to be my favorite spot for years but now due to poor management, the charm has faded away and the service is terrible.

Its a decent, cozy, and warm (poor ventilation) place with overpriced food. I think the main attraction is Oxford bookstore else the food? Pasta (arabiata) tastes sweet, pita bread is just plain uncooked dough. Cha bar, could have been much better.

We came here specifically to drink tea. Good, we tried Ayurvedic, Nepalese and lemongrass tea. Very tasty. Mostly young people here. Entrance on the second floor through the bookstore

They include service charges in your bill as it is mentioned on their menu.
The food is below average.
Tip: - Don't waste money on pesto pasta

Best place to have tea if you're a tea lover. The y have an extensive menu of various varieties of tea.

Oh it was very good experience it is joined with Oxford Library that means that means one can read book while having Tea or coffee.

My First Experience with Book Cafe.this place kindled my love for quaint cafes.unfortunately I have not been here for a long time now.and I don't have any pictures to share,

I like the place, it is a nice place to hangout with friends.
I likes the cold coffee there. It’s quite cute, small tables and 2-3 chairs per table.
Also it’s not a quite place of you think you want to do any reading or work.
Oxfords book store and cha bar have the same entrance and are parts of eachother.
It’s on the 1st floor, no elevators.
Lies on the Barakhamba road.
Easily reachable via road and parking can be found easily in cp.
Nearest metro station are rajiv chowk & barakhamba road stations.

Amazing place for a book lover and if you feel for a break then this place offers you with wide variety of teas and beverages, which will definitely lighten up your mood.

I visited this place first time with my special friend the best place for meet greets food was decent like the coffee and pasta which I tried also iced we're also good those who don't want to have any thing they can go with iced tea also pizza. Enjoy?

The ambience is good, especially if you're a bibliophile. Right inside the Oxford bookstore, Cha Bar is suitable for a chai date. The coffee and food however, leaves a lot to be desired and needs to be improved upon.

They have vast variety of tea! For sure for tea lovers and food was good plus library area for readers

Amazing food but the service is a little slow. I would highly recommend the bubble tea (any flavor) and the margherita pizza.

Presentation and taste of the food was simply superb. The beverages were really refreshing.

Loved this place. It's inside the Oxford Bookstore thats makes it popular among people who love to have tea-coffee while reading. Cha-Bar serves you with varieties of tea from Darjeeling and snacks. The cost is so minimal and food is so filling. I loved the Green Apple Soda. Ambience gives a look of old British restro at country-side.

The ambiance is really nice and its a oxford book store.
The basil pasta was lacking salt in it so i didnt like it much
But the chiken tikka pizza was tasty, but portion size was small it had just 4 slices.
The juice was refreshing.especially the blackcurrant ice tea.

I fancy books, and the only reason for deducting a star is lack of good books in the library at the restaurant.

So I love this place. This is my go to place when I want to read and unwind. The Ambience here is amazing and one can huge variety of tea's here. Must visit!

Didn't like the pasta much but chai was great. Great for having a conversation with your friend over a chai and books.

There is a Cafe and Oxford bookstore right there. Best for 2 people, possibly inclined towards books. But ac seemed non existent.

Quality and quantity has decreased drastically after covid. The chicken club sandwich were bland and filled with extra mayo. Fish n chips were bland as well, no tartare dip was available with it.

Reasonable Price, good place to hang out, lot of tea options, menu needs to be renewed, oxford goodies are also an attraction.

This place is amazing but it is heaven for book lovers.
The food was average but the overall experience of reading a book along with a cup of coffee or tea makes it worth visiting.
One of the few places that are actually pretty affordable.
The best part is that you don't need to have company to visit this place you can visit alone and enjoy your solitude over a cup of coffee.

I personally liked the vibrant colours inside the cafe. Variety of Books and other stationary items.
Tried Cold coffee and Black current smoothie and it was served the best way.
They only accept cash or card online payment is not available here.

Great ambience and a good book collection, but pathetic food. The waiters though are super nice and would let you know in advance, what not to order from their menu.

It's a good place.you can chill and read books. Price is also decent. 90rs for a cup of coffee. Try to avoid going on Sunday. It's too crowded. Barely you can find a place.

This place used to be nice. But from my recent experience, I tasted the worst quality of food they have ever served. Their cucumber mint sandwich and roasted vegetable pizza are unsavory. About truck driver chai and bollywood masala mix chai, please have some mercy on chaiholic people. Only thing I liked is cardamom chai. That's it. Not even maska bun is good and that is an easy thing to make. Really need improvements. It is a beautiful place and I like it but please don't be unjust about the quality of food.

Good place to hangout.can have quick bite and coffee is okies not that amazing. Ambience is very nice and beautiful.

Paneer roll, chicken biryani, overall food quality is not satisfactory. No value for the money spent. Very small quantity of biriyani which is not in proportionate with its price. Overpricing as well as 10 % service charges other than taxes. Never visit again. Not recommended. Tea is good and unique. Service, Ambience and Music are also good.

I went to Cha Bar yesterday with my friends and here’s my review about it.

The Ambience
So, let’s talk about the ambience first, we entered the Oxford Book Store it was great. After taking a left and a right, there we were- at the Cha Bar. It’s a big place, cute, and crowded but yet so quiet. We could only see two empty tables in the entire cafe, and rest there were so many people.

The Food
We ordered their Margherita pizza and cold coffees with ice cream and one without it.
Honestly, cold coffee was worth the money, but pizza wasn’t worth it. There were just four unequally cut pieces and it was very thin.
So, pizza totally ain’t worth 190 ₹

The service- the service was prompt.

I went there with a friend in the morning.
As we were in a hurry while leaving, he mistakenly gave them a Rs. 2000 note instead of 200.
After few hours we went back there, asked the staff at the counter about the same and they recognized us
They then paid back the remaining amount to us.

The staff and their services are really awesome.
Thank you Cha Bar for being such kind, honest and trustworthy.
You people are doing great and this is surely a must visit place for everyone who would like to get sometime away from the hustle of the city.

Attached with oxford bookstore, its a place for book and coffee lover.economic and with a variety of menu. Just the staff is lil slow rest manageable, small space yet accomodate a lot of people

The staff cannot handle the crowd. The order takes a very long while to be delivered, the cheque as well. Arabiata pasta was sent back because it was too spicy. Sandwhiches were cold. Cappuccino was so cold, it was like cold coffee in a cup. Strawberry milkshake was given after calling for it twice in a 35 minute period. Probably will not visit again. Also, it was a little suffocating.

Awsm place.mind blowing place to sit nd enjoy ur tea or snacks.wtever u order.awsm.it is attached with Oxford.the only thing which seems disappoint is its space.we have to wait. I don't like to wait for anything.but I love to do here.

I went to this place for the first time with my frnd and we thought the place is good but it turn into something else.

The ambience was good no doubt but the service was very slow.
I ordered 1 penne alferdo pasta which is served with garlic bread but garlic bread was missing in my pasta we told the waiter and he just said "achaa" nothing else no apologies no regrets nothing
after that we also ordered a chicken pizza which he forgot to give and when he served the pizza he served the wrong one he served the some paneer pizza which was pathetic
I personally recommend to everyone do not visit this place just because the rating is so good

Lovely cafe with a bookstore. You can also read while having some snacks.
The snacks are light on the pocket and have great taste. Ideal place for hangouts and meetups.

Amazing place with ambience and service topnotch and serves one of the best teas that not only tastes wonderful but also has a tempting aroma. Certainly one of the best places to go for a tea/coffee date or to relax and have good start in the morning.

One of my personal favourite spots to hangout with friends at CP. The Oxford bookstore alongside it is the best thing about this place (apart from the tremendously good chicken Ceaser salad and iced carrot-walnut cake)

This place is a treat to eyes. By treat I mean this place is heaven for all the readers and book lovers. More than that, it also has various options to eat and catch up with your friends. Have been to this place twice and each time it feels great to look at the colorful sight of not only the walls and decor but of the vast collection of books.

Cha bar is a nice place to go, but it was quite busy in the weekends. Char bar is a small cafe with a library adjacent to it. It has a really nice vibe but the food is average.

The food was abysmal, and even the ambience wasn't so appealing apart from the book store beside it. The book store is perhaps the main attraction of the cafe because the food wasn't as good as expected or that might just because of the extreme crowd.

They serve microwave food for unbelievably high price. Bakery shops in Karol Bagh fare better than them.
Don't visit them after reading about the paid articles from internet/magazines.

It was okayish place. More importantly got sitting and chilling. Place is tiny and food quantity is less​. Serving is very bad there. Waiters are not customer friendly much

It's a nice decent place within an actual book store with a humongous collection of books, buy some classic posters, notebooks, keychains, pens, wallets, card holders, lamp shades with quotes etc. All and all a nice calm place. Cha Bar is a cafe inside this book store. Tea is their speciality with tapri wale glasses, kettle etc. You can expect other eatables and beverages like coffee, cakes, cookies, omelette etc.

Cha bar is a good hangout place with a classy feel. If you had this amazing dream of having your evening tea in a library, go fulfill it. They serve tea, coffee and snacks in library. Happy munching! Happy reading!

It's an amazing place to have great tea! The ambience is very good. It stays crowded for most part, but you will still be able to find a seat within 10mins. Great place to hangout with friends.

Good place to hangout.
Service can be improved but you can't complaint at the price they are offering food.
Interiors are also good and do try fish chips.
Also you can shop at the library plus accessories like covers, dairy, stickers etc.
Overall a good, pocket friendly place to hangout.
