Chawri Bazar is a specialized wholesale market of brass, copper and paper products. Established in 1840, with a hardware market, it was the first wholesale market of Old Delhi it lies to the west of Jama Masjid in Delhi.

It is a underground station and properly maintaining the DMRC standards of safety and discipline. It is a nice place if you want to purchase anything in bulk. This place offers everything from aluminium wires to hardware items used in houses.

Lost of hustle bustle no place to move even on foot, kinda felt like Dhaka. But also on the other hand it's an incredible blend of cultures and also the food there is delicious as heck.

Chawri Bazar is an underground station located on the Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro, a rapid transit system serving Delhi and its satellite cities in the National Capital Region of India. It is located in the Chawri Bazaar locality of Old Delhi and was inaugurated on 3 July 2005 as part of the Kashmere Gate – Central Secretariat corridor.
Chawri Bazar is the second-deepest metro station after Hauz Khas, Magenta Line (Delhi Metro) of the Delhi Metro network and is situated about 30 metres (98 ft) below ground level. It is located close to the monuments of Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India and Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Major stations such as Delhi Junction (Old Delhi) and New Delhi railway station of the Indian Railways are located close to Chawri Bazar.

Sometimes delhi metro station is busy or u wants to go early by metro than you have to take a e rickshaw for new delhi station to chawadi bazar metro station. This (Chawadi bazar) station is less crowded in the morning.

Genuinely It's one of the most crowded area in *Delhi to be honest. So always be aware of the *pickpockets and thieves as there is no surety about the phone or other gadgets that you carry would be safe, while you roam around this place. So it's my humble request for the *first time visitors that please don't carry any hard cash or expensive articles as the place is really crowded and unsafe.
