Hardly anything to say about the iconic Gymkhana Club. Huge, sprawling premises. Calm, pristine and genteel environment. The watering hole of the elitest elites. Good food. Though, not all items were top notch. But, that's expected of a club. It's always a charm to be there
Gymkhana club is one the oldest and most prestigious clubs in Delhi. Getting membership is out of the question unless you know PM! The club is purely for members only and guests are allowed only with members. …
Food mouth watering and services unbeatable. The only issue to look at the men's washroom loo area is to check on the batteries of automatic water sprinkle in pots.
Oriental food is good. Guest villas are very spacious and centrally located, yet everything is dated and only for the elite (bureaucrats, ancestral members)! Great prestigious venue for events, The waitlist for a new member is only 70 years, which, by the way, might be also the median age of people you see there! It has 25 grass tennis courts, second only to 38 at Wimbledon. The club is over a hundred years old!
This place has an old world charm to it. Good food, nice relaxed crowd. When at Delhi Gymkhana you are bound to forget your stress and just get transported into a different relaxed world!
Nice place. A feel of what life would have been in colonial times. You would need the company of a club member to get entry. I am told that Thursdays are the best and the most happening day.try out the chicken kabbabs at the restaurant on the lawn
The oriental cuisine restaurant serves superbly cooked Chinese and Thai food. Waiters are a nice hospitable bunch, eager and smiling. Love my experience here every time.
There are three lawns for party. Only members can book these lawns. Food is too good only problem is with parking. According to gathering parking space is small.
Wonderful place for a family or close friends get together. Lush greens all around, ample parking space. Food is ok, service can be improved, but nothing to beat the ambience. If you want to chill out with friends and have an evening drinking beer, this is the place to go. Only caveat is that you need to have a friend who has membership of this prestigious club.
Exclusivity. It is a members only club. Had 4-5 levels of seating for food and drinks. Parking: Easily available. But might be difficult during special events like ball on 25dec Food: Has different offerings.snacks are termed as good here. People do come for lunch and dinners often.
Dinner at the Jamun Hall was warm and cosy. Unfortunately it rained and we couldn't take advantage of the lush green lawn. The food was delicious. This place is for members only. It was a party, the food was a buffet and liquor was also served.
Considered a super uber private club in Delhi due to its heritage, location and inexpensive food and drink choices. However it needs upgrading in quality, service. Their afternoon lunch event on Kashmir lawns is substandard at best. The whole process to get your lunch & drink is absurd. Quality of food served by all outsourced restaurants is really bad.
Exclusive club fur members only. Awesome abiemce. The bar and Chinese food is amazing, and the rates will literu shock you. Ask a friend or befriend someone who is a memeber to get a view of this exclusive club
It's too well-known an institution to write anything new about. Membership of this Club is now waitlisted at 27 years (that's not a typo!) so it's best to register your progeny at birth! That said, it has all the facilities from sports to social to restaurants to catered social events. Spacious lawns, separate grounds for parties etc. What you can do is to find a friend who's a member. Then facilities can be hired for events since the billing will be in the name of the member
