U can take train from that place.but most of the train are available from new Delhi.but the area is not safe for girls, women at the night time.so always prefer new delhi railway station over old one.there is soo much issues regarding the jam at the night, evening time at the road.so mostly prefer metro to travel.it is safer and as well as.fastest means of transport

I feel there like I'm lost somewhere because there is lots crawded place but you can get lot's of things according to your need. You can enjoy with friends family while shopping. There is delicious food so u can enjoy eating there.

More rush here for unreserved catagory
Sometimes for unreserved ticket huge lines there.and take 30min to get ticket.

The station started with a broad gauge train from Calcutta in 1864.  Metre-gauge track from Delhi to Rewari and further to Ajmer was laid in 1873 by Rajputana State Railway and metre-gauge trains from this station started in 1876.

The present building of the station was built in 1900 and opened for the public in 1903. Started with just 2 platforms and 1000 passengers, Delhi railway station now handles more than 180,000 passengers and around 190 trains starts, ends, or passes through the station daily.

Best and managed railway station from where you can find trains to almost every part of India. Actually it is junction which has 16 platforms. The place is very well connected with market and Delhi metro.

This station has an antiquity of more than 150 years (1864) and therefore makes it the oldest in Delhi & one of the oldest in the country.
However, it still has a long way to go by way of general cleanliness (surroundings) and ease of access to others modes of transport for onward travel into te city.
The bus stops and the metro stations are too far away to haul one's luggage, unlike in New Delhi, Nizamuddin and other termini stations where thise are located mostly within the station premises or in their periphery.
Nevertheless, it is an important station. Most trains to the North, North-east & the East pass through or terminate here.
Passenger amenities within the station are impeccable, the staff are helpful, and the platforms are well-maintained, given the density of passenger movement.

Better than before. May be due to covid, less people are travelling nowadays. There is still so much needs to be done to upgrade, particularly the cleanliness in and around the station.

Horrible experience. Couldn't findany AC waiting room. Whilethe luggage was getting scanned, many men were pushing from behind and went ahead and no security officers to take care of this. On platforms no visible display for train arrival or coach position/number. No washroom. Pathetic railway station in Delhi. NDLS is far far better than this one.

As this station is one of the important station of India, so it's well connectivity with chandini Chowk metro station mekes it very approchable. I loved the way it is. Well connectivity.

Very clean place, lightening at the station building providing spectacular view of this old beautiful structure. Nearest metro station is chandani chowk. Lots of food joints available near the station. Cabs and autos are easily available even at midnight. Kashmiri gate bus terminal is not so far from station.

Now this place bacame good and force are on duty and good working staff. I deduct one star because some times pessenger faced problem like rush, beggers and thief.

here train comes at right time as my experience, It is situated at near by Chandni chowk Metro Station u can go very easily this place

A historic place and place which handles scores of passengers everyday. New Delhi railway station now handles the bulk of the main trains. So this one will be left out. Cleanliness is being given a huge push. The outside lighting is beautiful and colourful.

Not as good as the New Delhi railway station in terms of cleanliness and infrastructure! But it's okay! McDonald's is present at the 1st platform! Enjoy

One of the oldest Railway Station in India. Capital of India. In delhi 5 main Railway Stations but this is the oldest.

Facilities withdrawn Restrictions imposed. Not traveller friendly. Police friendly, Railway workers, exceptions may be, corrupt and uncivil out to loot the innocent, gullible and poor persons. It is not an outburst but a well experienced conclusion,

Infrastructure has been a drastical change over the years. Clean and well managed paveway outside the station. Hawkers almost removed. Ample parking space.

There is no proper arrangement of people waiting for trains. There should be a bigger waiting room for people who travel in Gerald class and who cannot afford much. Person at the ticket counter is not aware about the trains and says if you want to know more about the ticket go to enquiry. During early morning hours there is a rush at Sulabh (Deluxe toilet) hence more should be built. Poor arrangement every where.

Also need more baggage checking from out side passengers who is coming in Delhi from any other states through train.

Old Delhi railway station is one of the oldest station and big station among Delhi. This is always crowded. Not so much clean as compared to other station. It is old so over bridge is narrow. Feel always crowded. There is less essalator so facing some problems. It should increase the enquiry to get the train information. Some of enquiry is always close. Overall it's bad experience

If you're in defence you could go here and you could buy anything from here.it's provide amazing service. New Delhi is the capital of India but railway stations (both) is to bad. Visakhapatnam railway is better than Delhi railway stations (both New and old Delhi)

Very near metro station and ISBT, Inter state bus terminal. Trains available for almost all big cities of North India here.

Old Delhi railway station comes in category of oldest railway station. Lots of trains departs here. Total platform 16.

Very untidy and unclean.only good point is that you can get metro just outside the station. The metro station is Chandni chowk of yellow line. Apart from that waiting rooms are good and queue is vey long for general tickets so if u want to get one pls reach early

Hard to understand entrance and hard to understand where to get done baggage verification and hard understand to catch right path or way to particular plateform.
I missed my train 2 times.
Drinking water available easily, washroom are still full of bad odour and hard to find, some stupid people specially uneducated people are contributing more to make it dirty
Over all thank God we have Railway Station

Pathetic traffic management by the police around the station premises.
Please opt for other railway stations for your travels.

Really impressive the railway station has got much better more sittings are installed better drinking water facilities are available

It's one of the oldest railway stations in the country and it has improved immensely over the years. Note there is a proper parking space at the Kashmere gate side which was not there earlier and parking was a herculean task. The platforms and ticketing facilities have also improved.

Old Delhi railway station Mori Gate is having platform number 16 if you know that your train is departing from platform number 16 you can plan your working at this particular place this place parking is easily available and there is no rush for parking car

The station is always crowded because its a major junction between other cities and delhi. So not very clean and not very maintained. A 24 hr open McDonald's is available here.
