I am writing to share my candid reflections on my musical journey, particularly my experiences at the Delhi School of Music, and the transformative shift that led me to discover the unparalleled excellence of Central Music Institute (CMI) in New Delhi.

My time at Delhi School of Music left me grappling with a teaching approach that, unfortunately, leaned heavily towards rigidity. The slow pacing of staff and teachers seemed to impede the natural flow of musical exploration, stifling the creative spirit that is so essential to the art of music. While the Delhi School of Music holds its place in the city's musical landscape, I found myself yearning for an institution that could provide a more dynamic and progressive learning environment.

Enter Central Music Institute, a beacon of innovation and excellence in music education. From the moment I stepped into the well-equipped classrooms at CMI, it became evident that this institute was in a league of its own. The cutting-edge technology, advanced facilities, and forward-thinking pedagogy at CMI have elevated my musical education to new heights, offering a stark contrast to the conventional methods I encountered elsewhere.

The faculty at CMI, comprised of educators with pedigrees from renowned institutions worldwide, has been a revelation. Great place to learn music. My instructor is really special. Patient, nurturing, gifted and supportive.

Never learn drums from Noel Malekar. He is the worst teacher who is full of his own ego and has no respect for his students. He completely wasted my 6 months and he is the only teacher who can ruin your passion for drumming. If you want to become good at drumming then make sure you do not learn from him. This is an honest review with my experience with him. He is not professional at all.

Hard to review the actual services when the staff who is supposed to help you register and give information is INCREDIBLY curt and rude as if she is doing the world a favour by just doing her job. What a hateful environment to create for someone trying to learn an art form. Shame.

I’ve been a student of Delhi Music School since two years (almost) and it has undeniably been one of the best decisions taken by my parents.
Piano has always intrigued me, and the teachers here have been really kind and patient with me throughout the journey which helped me bring the best out of myself.
DSM has always had a reputation of its own and being inside gives really soothing vibes, thanks to the perfect location.

Good institution, good infrastructure too but needs to hire a professional Saxophone teacher.

I was Ms. Kabuki Khanna's student for 10 years. She teaches Vocals at Delhi school of music. I credit my entire music journey to her. I was a kid who knew nothing about music when I went to her but when I left my growth was exceptional and evident. I would definitely recommend her for vocals. Her discretion is trustworthy and good for your voice.

This is a scam institution, the reason i call it a scam institution is based on my personal experience in the admissions they grant.in Mar2022, we contacted them for admission of our kids (who are US citizens) for weekend, they told us to apply on 01 June. We applied exactly at midnight when it turned 1 June and they gave a call on 06 June at 14: 00 that sorry, we dont have place.

There is no clear admissions criteria.they have fooled us and made us wait for months only to tell that place is not available.then the admission lady gave the number of another teacher Mr pauromita, only to be told that there is no seat.transparent and visible admission criteria should be the basis of running any school.otherwise, admissions end up being manipulative and open to abuse by such scam institutions who just rely on falsehood.

Take admission based on merit of the student, not based on any random reference based admission.
