What strikes me most about Dr. Gagan Gautam and his team is their endeavor to make the patient & his entire family comfortable with the procedure.
They explained the concept of robotic surgery and how technological advancements in the medical fields have made prostate removal surgery more efficient.
Dr. Gautam is very competent and his speclisation in this surgery with ease of handling what he does made me approach the surgery in a positive and confident manner.
His team handled the pre and post surgery process very efficiently and were constantly monitoring and guiding.
10 days after surgery I feel completely healthy and active and express my heartfelt gratitude to this talented team at Medanta Hospital.

I am a Veteran Army General 66 years old who was diagnosed with Grade 2 Prostate Cancer in July 2022. Though during Army service was not scared of bullets but due to this I was in fear. In panic I ran around all renowned hospitals & doctors. I was looking for the Best Doctor & Best Hospital combination. Did all India extensive research & word of mouth survey. *AND I homed onto Dr Gagan Gautam, Uro Onco. * I met him in Medanta Medicity in Jun and found him to be a rare combination of best Head & Heart. I developed so much confidence in him that in just one meeting I said Yes for surgery and fixed up date for surgery.
Finally I was operated on 15 Jul. A long surgery for 4 hours. Dr Gagan Gautam kept my wife informed all the time during surgery & reassuring her that all was well. After surgery he visited me two times a day, closely followed my recovery and kept my morale up. Not flattering or butteressing he is the Best Dr in India who is most compassionate, most accomodating, deeply involved in his patients, always reassuring, most professional and above all Always with a Smile which helped me to recover. Dr Gagan Gautam is great doctor and human being, but at wrong hospital, i consulted him on 17 th April, he talked very politely and in detail about my prostate issue, in medanta there is no cordination between other departments, i was asked to go for biopsy and before biopsy i was asked to get my MRI and PET scan loaded and discussed between the department, i was made to run here and there as no one was giving any details and what to do, i had to run between different floors to get them lided whole day was consumed and u being old person got so much frustrated that I decided not to go ahead with the treatment in medanta, during our talk withsny patient the story was same that medanta has great doctors but there is no cordination between department I'm sorry

I would like to share my experience of getting my father in law treated under Dr Gagan Gautam a uro oncologist at Medanta (Delhi) my father in law had complicated issues concerning prostrate and bladder and malignancy.we were confused about the mode of treatment to be undertaken and then we came in touch with dr Gagan gautam and with his diagnosis and the mode of treatment to go with.which included Robotic Surgery.was no less than a miracle.the diagnosis.the method.the expertise.the post operative care.the follow up was all exceptionally good.the time given by him and his entire team is amazing! I came across Dr Gagan Gautam recently in Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon in context with my surgery for CA Prostate. I underwent RARP conducted by him and his team. It was an uneventful and successful surgery. Post surgery, I am very comfortable and recovering steadily.

Doctor Gagan Gautam is soft spoken, helpfull and down to earth man and explains everything in details telling all the pros and cons/ repercussions of the process he is contemplating to carry out. He replies to all the questions including uncomfortable ones like how many surgeries have been done by him and even the success rate. I was fortunate to have been referred to him. It's now five years of the operation and with the grace of God and Doctor Gautam's skills, I am doing fine. BTW he still replies to my queries. God bless him.

Dr Gagan, I have to say that you are one of the finest and best Doctor I have met. Your knowledge on urology oncology is greatest and you have “Hands of God” while operating. More importantly, your patience to mentor the patient, empathy towards the situation and smiling face treats half of the disease. My Dad is blessed to be treated by you. The aim of my review is to raise awareness for anyone struggling in similar circumstances. Whether you are recommended to do so or not, be vigilant of symptoms- big and small, ask question, raise doubts. If I could turn back time, I would have done this-unfortunately, I cannot.
At this point, my father's cancer has spread to more bones and organs than not.
He is undergoing intensive treatments right now. I know he's a fighter and confident that he will recover.
Anyone reading this, please send out a prayer for my father's healing and well being.
I urge people to be more mindful of symptoms in cancer warriors and not become lax in the aftercare of this very aggressive disease.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to me.
As an absolute layman, as far as I am concerned, my father's PSA levels were never the indicator of the intensity of his disease. They were a mismatch from the start so why did we use that as a reliable sign. Even though other doctors told us that Gleason score and PSA does not match- we believed that you'd give us the best advise and guidance. We never lost faith in you until now when all this happened.
Additionally, the cancer had spread to neaby lymph nodes which you had removed during the surgery.this would also mean something medically and should have been more closely monitored through other mediums. What I don't know but I'm certain we would have been able to track and catch the spread much earlier had we done appropriate monitoring.
At this point, honestly, we've lost trust in you and your team. Even when his ultrasound showed liver lesions, you asked us to do a CECT rather than a PSMA- PET which costed us another week before we could start his treatment.
That's my anger towards you sir, that these are things I am now able to analyse as someone with no medical knowledge and therefore feel the aftercare for an illness like cancer was neither appropriate nor comprehensive.
We should not have become lax this way. It has costed us very dearly.

My father was operated for prostrate under him. He absolutely misguided us, didn't do appropriate follow up tests for my father and his cancer came back and spread to other parts. Very very bad experience and mishandling of the case. We kept asking if we need any tests, he didn't get any done, neither referred us to someone else for further follow ups. My father's cancer has now spread to other organs and we are starting our fight with cancer again which could have been avoided if the doctor was not so negligent and dismissive and probably over confident. Very angry and sad and troubled by the medical advice offered.
Those under him, please make sure you are also seeing other medical oncologist who can guide you appropriately. My family and I are learning this the very hard way. If it saves even one person the trouble my review would be worth it.

When we first came to know that my father, aged 69, had been diaganosed with adenocarcinoma prostate with a gleason score of 3+3, we were shattered. We did not know what to do. We started consulting doctors all over punjab but were not satisfied. After consulting so many doctors and searching the internet we knew that Dr Gagan Gautam is the one and he did not dissappoint us at all. He has been supportive and inspiring and guided us very well from the very beginning of treatment. He explained each and every treatment options and all the procedures involved in them including risks and benefits, with great clarity. Dr Gagan is the best in uro oncology in India. He treated my dad with utmost care. My dad was diagnosed with a lesion in his right kidney in dec 2020. He underwent a robotic partial nephrectomy under Dr Gagan in January this year and is recovering well. The doctor is not only very patient but also makes sure he prepares the patient mentally and explains all options (robotic/ radical/ partial) in great detail. I will highly recommend doctor Gagan! I met him with regards to robotic surgery that was to be performed on one of my family member.
Following are my genuine views about him

2. Crisp and clear instructions and guidance in respect of the surgery to be performed.
3. Great interpersonal skills. He ensures that the patient feels at home. Explains complete pros and cons of the procedure. Explains the diagnosis in detail.

Dr Gagan and his team helped my mother through her treatment. From very patiently and clearly explaining the condition, to discussing the options and th risks and timelines therein - the team gave us the support we needed at that time.
The surgery went well and given the robotic nature of surgery, mom's recovery was very fast. We were discharged the next day.
Post surgery the team was very focused on ensuring a speedy recovery and ensuring that mom wasn't feeling overwhelmed.

I have nothing but positive to say about Dr. Gagan Gautam and his team. They are kind, personable and light hearted which is so important to patients who come across the word cancer. My father was recently diagnosed with muscle invasive bladder cancer. He was suggested to go for a complete Radical Cystectomy. My dad, who has always been healthy as a horse and never ever seen inside of a hospital for himself, came across this diagnosis with a total surprise.
He was scared and was not sure how he will go through with this life changing treatment. To a big surprise to all of us, Dr. Gautam and his team made it so easy for my father to understand this! They explained him everything in complete detail without skipping or rushing through the initial consultation appointments. His whole team understands how to treat a cancer patient. They know that this is not just a physical fight, it is equally a mental fight for the patient! This team of Uro Oncology is a great example of how medicine is changing in India and how Doctors and their support team is caring for their patients with compassion and a whole lot of positivity! My dad is now 6 weeks post op and is still recovering from the surgery. We all knew that it is a slow road to recovery, but we know the there is light at the end of this tunnel! Thanks again to this amazing team and Dr. Gautam for taking such good care of my father.

I am 70 years old person and underwent urology (TURP) Surgery in August 2018. I had a chance to get in touch and interact with Doctor Gagan Gautam & his team for the treatment of renal mass for my mother.
Dr. Gagan was very thorough in diagnosis and very clearly laid out the possibilities of all the potential treatment options. We went for the partial nephrectomy robotic surgery, which was carried out very cleanly by him without any complications. My mother could walk the next day after the surgery, something which might not have been possible with an open surgery and is recovering well.
Dr. Gagan is a very fine surgeon and highly respected by his team. I'll highly recommend him and his caring team for robotic surgical procedures.

I met him with regards to robotic surgery that was to be performed on one of my family member.

3. Greta interpersonal skills. He ensures that the patients feels at home. Explains complete pros and cons of the procedure. Explains the diagnosis in detail.
