One of the best doctors I’ve ever consulted. Solves all your queries and doubts. Explains everything in detail. Never asks for any unwanted tests. Only does what is required. Very friendly and cooperative in nature.
He is the most unkind, unsympathetic and ill mannered Dr.ever.he refused to see me despite taking an appointment with him and walked out of his clinic in front of all his patients shouting ‘bhaad mein gaya OPD’ Unbelievable. His behaviour was repulsive to say the least. Being a heart patient myself I have 4 stents in the heart and his appalling behaviour made me feel even more sick. DO NOT go to him if you want to save yourself.
Might be a good doctor but very adamant, he doesn't have time to listen to patient.not at all interested to see patients from panel. Better to consult other doctor if you have panel.rather than encouraging patient he is a big demotivator.
I am 77 old and regular jogger. I have been jogging for about 40 years. A distance of 3 to 5 kms each morning 5 days a week. There were breaks due to work and travel. I stand 5.11" and weigh 72 Kgs. Vegetarian through out life and with no smoking or drinking as part of life. Happily married with son living abroad with his family. Happy contented life with no financial worries or serious legal issues. Health has been good. I was found to be with Type 2 diabetes about 6 years since. Now on medicine with diabetes under control. I thought that I am not a candidate for any heart ailment. BUT IT IS NOT TO BE.
But on 10-09-21 during my jog (after 3 Km) had mild pain on the left shoulder for a few seconds. I hesitated a moment but ran and completed my 5 Kms jog. However for some reason I did not dismiss the pain.
Armed with a lipid profile and ECG I met Dr. Ripen Gupta on 13-09-21. He at the first look of ECG said, "seem to have had a mild attack" Need further investigations and recommended Echo test. 14-09-21.echo test was done. On 15-09-21 Dr. Ripen felt it was normal but still wanted to find out as to why the pain occurred. So wanted a CT Scan. Test was done on 16-09-21 and report was made available in full on 17-09-21 at 13.00 hrs. I booked for an appointment with Dr. Ripen for 18-09-21 9.50 am.
But on 17-09-21 around 6.45 PM experienced pain on the left shoulders.wife Nita moved me immediately to MAX hospital Saket Emergency. Was in emergency at 7.30 PM. The miracle happened because I had 100% blockage in one of the arteries called LAD.
At Max emergency, The doctor on duty set in motion a MAX hospital protocol to deal with someone with heart attack, the staff, nurses and ward boys, all prepared me for a heart procedure. I was wheeled at a great speed into the theater. Theater technicians and others prepared me for the procedure with Doctor Ripen with his team ready to start the procedure.
I heard My doctor telling "A small injection". That is all I knew. I was conscious that some thing is being done on me. There was no pain of any kind. There were no anxious voices or shouts in the theater.
8.45PM, My doctor asked how are you feeling now. I said I have absolutely no pain or discomfort. He smiled and said "you will now be in ICU for a day.will see you tomorrow. " Out of the theater Nita was standing smiling.told me " you have stent incorporated. You are fine. "
I was discharged on Monday the 20-09-21 at 12.00 noon. With one advice_ You are fine. Take it easy for a week. No damage to your heart. You can climb steps with out any rush to get into your home.
Feeling normal here I am writing this to appreciate the proficiency and professionalism of Doctor Ripen Kumar Gupta. The calm unassuming man he is, you just have to follow him for complete cure. My family and me are finding him in our daily prayers.
My write up will be incomplete with out a word about the Max hospital emergency team of 17th September (7.30 PM). Their speed, seriousness, professionalism and conduct laid the foundations for surgery and its success. It was a highly coordinated collective effort.c
Post surgery the ICU team took over with commitment and care. The sisters were polite and professional. I was under Sister Ms. Chetna that night- post surgery. She kept a close watch on the parameters of my heart through the night and provide the intensive care demanded.
To conclude I will simply say "THANK YOU MAX SAKET. "

I first met Dr Ripen Gupta in Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi in the year 2008. It was 12’o clock night. Suddenly i developed severe symptoms of cardiac ailment, and rushed to Fortis Hospital Vasant Kunj, as i was staying nearby. Barely had Dr Ripen reached his home after finishing his day’s shift, when he got this emergency call. In no time he rushed back to hospital. I was taken to iccu and in the next 45 minutes my angioplasty was over. Since then i have never found him wanting in his job. An extremely competent doctor who is equally devoted to his profession. In March, 2013, I had heart problem and Dr. Ripen Gupta. I was referred to him by Dr. SN Srivastava, MD Cardiologist, Ranikhet. While the implant of stent was going on, I found Dr. Ripen very nice and when I inquired of him how much more time will take in implanting the stent, I was told that it has been done. I was surprised, because I could not feel any problem in the implant. Dr. Ripen had come to Ranikhet some three four years after my angioplasty for a follow up and check up of patients of Ranikhet area. Today after nearly 8 Years I have no problem and am enjoying a health heart, while I am now 80
