I am 44 years old Hearing Impaired woman and had 50% moderate sensorineural hearing loss in one ear due to negligence of Doctor while getting treated for Brain Tuberculoma in 2012. They had given me high doses of Streptomycin through injection. After few months of recovery, I had noticed some changes in hearing say - Ear pressure, Reduced Hearing Loss and sudden occurrence of Tinnitus Sound. I concerned some ENT doctors who told me that nothing can't be done for it due to effect of Ototoxic medicine. Moreover, they never focused on the root causes of my ear problem deeply.
In 2021, this problem has aggravated drastically because of increased intensity of tinnitus sound and also hearing loss increased up to the level of 70% moderately severe after getting affected from pandemic Coronavirus Disease. Again, I concerned ENT specialist and also acupressure therapist (suggested by my friend) for this aggravated situation but of no use as they couldn't track the cause of aggravated situation. Then, I came across Dr. Niharika Chugh Acupuncture clinic while surfing the internet for the acupuncture process. When I first time visited her, she diagnosed my problem deeply and calmly whereas mostly doctors get irritated to interact with hearing impaired patients easily. Moreover, she interacted with me in written as I was not able to give answers properly while diagnosing.
And she focused on the root causes like Sinus problem, Acidity, Sleep, Stress level, Vitamin B12 and D deficiency, High Blood pressure and High Blood Glucose Level, Hormonal problems, Cervical Neck pain, etc. On the first day, she started working on my Ear Health through Scalp Acupuncture, Electro- Ear Acupuncture, Bloodletting, Moxibustion and also suggested me changes in diet and vitamin B12 Neurobion Forte tablet for a month.
After few sessions of acupuncture, I observed some changes - Ear Pressure disappeared, Neck pain reduced too, also relief to intensity level of Tinnitus sound and my hearing at low frequencies sound at 250,500 and 1000 Hz has shown improvement upto 5 db each. Dr. Niharika has clearly told me in the beginning that my case is chronic as well severe too and it may take very long time to be recovered fully.

In last, I would like to say that it is not necessary every ENT doctor and acupressure /acupuncture therapist will focus on the root causes of ear problem calmly as Dr. Niharika did in my case. Moreover, she has all the qualities - straightforward, honest, dedicated, highly skilled and experienced Acupuncture therapist as well as doctor who can understand your pain and also helps you to relieve from your problems with patience. And she has deep and thorough knowledge of acupuncture process. I would like to add one more point that Dr. Niharika's staff is very cooperative and polite with the patients.

I told the doctor Niharika that you can get tissue regeneration from acupuncture but it did not happen.

There is no use of booking an appointment here, I booked appointment two days prior still people without an appointment coming later than me were treated first. It is very humiliating I had to wait an hour. I didn't take the treatment as they demand full payment in 3rd sitting whether you get relief or not. Total treatment is of 12 sittings. They take ₹600 per sitting. Not recommended.

No words are enough to thank Dr Niharika for her dedication towards her work and her patients.
