It is not what it used to be and that's unfortunate because I really liked this place. The service was abysmal, in spite of the fact that there was more staff than customers.
From the look of it, one can feel that this eatery has seen its days and the art in their food is only left in the mugshots of their menu.
Firstly their lift is from another era and refuses to open till it makes you wait for 15 mins. Not so nice in the heat. Secondly when we call them, no one picks up. I was wondering how an upscale eatery can afford to lose clients standing at the ground floor waiting for their lift to work.
But the moment I entered the restaurant I saw it has seen its days and the place is about to shut down soon. The place had a vibe of being run by a stand by staff. The bartender was on a video call and in tuned to his headphones without a bother in the world. So we thought of ordering soft drinks.
We were served the worst looking drinks that one can expect. Our shakes and coffee came in short glasses. My mint was turning old like the rest of the ambiance and our straws were different in size, shape and design.
They gave me stripes and gave thick coffee straws in beige to my wife. It's a bummer to see a place that we once adored due and crumble to low concern for clients before it shuts.
So we asked a bit about the state of affairs and were told that they are starting a new place in Goa and their main staff is gone there. I wish them all the best, but their client management and regard for their clientele left us with a foul taste. They lost a client in me in Delhi and in Goa as well.
I thought it’s a branch of fig and would be as nice as the malcha one But it’s a small congested place so is the roof top. Entry looks worn out and dirty. Food is good
Really most terrible and service. The resteraunt was empty but still the service was incredibly bad. Maybe other locations are better but this location is terrible. Go to any other place. Eat on roadside. Order Zomato but save yourself from going here.
The food at Fig & Maple, GK-2, was outstanding. I am definitely going to patronize this place. They should check their ACs as water dripping from the one installed above our table somewhat spoiled the fun of an otherwise memorable afternoon at this restaurant.
Schöne Location mit leckerem Essen, auch für Vegetarier etwas dabei. Freundliches aufmerksames Personal. Definitiv empfehlenswert, kommen öfters mal hierher und sitzen auf die Terrasse.
Nice place but parking problem, the people looking after parking are not friendly, the market association should get a police verification for all parking attendants
Fig & Maple is probably one of my favourite places in Delhi. Here's why -
Food You can tell the chef put a lot of thought in the menu which contains some very unique preparations. We tried the butter chilli garlic prawns with fried rice cake and thecha, mushroom cakes, lotus stem chips, and shrimp popcorn. Loved every single dish; especially the rice cakes with thecha and prawns.
Drinks They've got over 30 gin infusions with flavours like Cherry and Plum, Gondharaj Lemon, Fig Cinnamon Vanilla and Kokum. We tried 8 of these of enjoyed all of them. I can't pick a favourite because they were all so good!
Music Good music that gets you grooving but does not drown your voice. Makes it the perfect place to meet friends for good conversation, drinks and food.
Service Fima and his team were amazing. Friendly, accommodating and all round good vibes.
The food menu has recipes having fusion of multiple cuisines from different places. The preparation is quite impeccable though. I tried fish and chips with kasundi, it was incredible.
The location and ambience is nice. I didn’t like the food though. It was really average for the price. The service was fast and the staff was polite. We had sweet potato fries - some fries were uncooked properly. I liked the dip a lot though. Nutella pancakes - a bit more chocolate or Nutella was needed. It was a very average attempt. Farmhouse pizza - we requested for a thin crust and crispy pizza but the output was of a thick soggy crust. I had only one slice of the pizza.
I've been here few times before but after a longtime I've visited today. Bit disappointed first one of your staff or somebody needs to check if your lift is properly working or not. After waiting for 10-15 mnts. I've to call your restaurant reception desk to check whether the lift door is properly closed or not.they realised it only after I reminded them.place is very nice simple decor with huge amount of day light. Ordered one of my favourite which I've tried earlier as well baked potato with chicken & bacon in mornay sauce. The preparation was good, great quantity but chicken was little hard & chewy.big disappointed. You don't expect this from such good restaurant.
This place is a delightful experience. The foods are plated and cocktails constructed with artistry. Their salads never fail to impress and their signature cocktails are irresistible. The chef was sweet and accommodated my request to veganise regular menu items.
One of the worst experiences I have had in a long time. Service standards are absolutely pathetic. You may end up waiting on your table for your order for hours. Staff seems incompetent and indifferent. We had to simply walk out of this pathetic place. Avoid
We were in a large group and had booked a table on the rooftop. The cocktails were our primary focus and we tried a lot of them. My personal favourite was the Songs of the Sea, a tequila and grapefruit flavoured drink. There were more innovative flavours and combinations, including paan and coffee. I also recommend the Rusty Fig.
Often when eating out in Delhi, I tend to feel let down by the portion size - not here. This is a great place to get large plates to share. The salad ingredients are all fresh and well-seasoned. The beetroot risotto was something I had not eaten before, and it tasted surprisingly good. The chorizo dip was a bit disappointing in that we couldn't find much actual chorizo. The chutney with the fish balls stood out. The calamari was unfortunately overdone but its batter fry was tasty af. I did not try the pizza but it looked good.
The decor is perfect for an evening out, and they do let you bring your dogs here. Pet owners/slaves, this is a good place for you.
Very nice staff. I was coming to this restrictions to meet my friends, I had a small suitcase with me. The elevator was not functional, so the staff offered to carry my case all the way to the 3rd floor. So kind of them. The food is also amazing. The eggs benedict menu is my favourite.
If you love fig this place will indulge you beyond your expectations. The rooftop restaurant is as good in the day as it is in the evening. The winter Sun kissing you and the fig cocktail is an ideal date for couples. From appetisers to cocktails to mains food here is crafted to tease all your senses. As a day dreamer I visited F&M around brunch time and lo & behold I was pleasantly surprised with their menu of day drinks. The mimosa is refreshing but I loved the fig whiskey cocktail. The bennies (eggs benedict) are colourful and flavourful. Definitely recommend this restaurant for daytime. Evenings are even more fun but it may get difficult to get a table especially on weekends.
Very bad experience. My husband me and my daughter had gone for lunch a few months back. We all ended up falling ill with stomach infection and had to take medication. Highly avoidable place
I found Fig & Maple to be an overpriced restaurant. I went for dinner with friends and the restaurant is totally unfriendly to kids so if you are a family with young kids please avoid this one. The food tasted average, nothing great except the ambience hence giving two stars for the same.
The service staff gets 5 stars especially "Fima", very courteous& friendly. We had sweet potato fries, fish fingers, all 3 soups, pesto pizza, fig & maple salad, barley risotto.all the items, fabulous. What we didn't like it, is the approach, the lift looks antique, the stairs dark. There were no light from first to second floor. The street dog came to the rooftop casually and took us few minutes to recover from the shock. Pet friendly shouldn't mean stray friendly. The pet should atleast have a collar.
Well the place is both cozy and rusty. It also a terrace sitting which i did not go because of cold weather. The interiors are not that appeling but food is good. I odered pizza with beetroot, caramelize onion, apple waffle and a cup of coffee. Staff is very generous. For me its a nice place for brunch or evening coffee. But i thing dont go by map, location will show the back lane of the restaurant. Its in GK 2 M Block market just above the Nik Bakers.
