This is a good subway. This is well maintained clean nd neet metro station. Third is on the violet line. Hajrat nizamuddin railway station is near of it.

The place has staff on site. The place has seating facilities available and also the departures board are there.

Security of gate number 2 is pathetic. I had a very bad and embarrassing experience due to which I had to complain against the police officer who checked ladies bag which is not allowed as per law and he accused me for something I didn't do and yelled at the same time. Such police man should be punished. There is no difference between that man and people who disrespect women.

It's situated on nearest of Hazarat nizamuddin main railway station very easy and friendly transport service given by delhi metro for local public as well as out side traveler.

You will find a lots number of shops near by this station, even mandi is just away of 2 min distance where you can get fresh vegetable as reasonable price. Overground metro station. 4 access to the station. 2 in both sides of the road. Elevator is available for wheelchair accessibility. Better get an smartcard to avoid standing in queue.after checking, you will enter into the base of the station. Tickets available at the concourse level. Paid parking is available. U can deboard here if u wish to go to Hz. Nizamuddin railway station, National Zoological Park, Humayun's tomb. U can exit from gate no. 2 and get a shared auto at just 20 rs. Per person.

How the colony was named jangpura has a very interesting historical story. As per Wikipedia, in order to relocate villagers from Raisina, one Colonel Mr. Young was tasked with the responsibility of shifting the population. Mr. Young chose this place and brought people here and colony was known as Youngpura which colloquially became present day Jangpura. This is near to Defence Colony and Mathura Road and divided between Block A and B. This is also a legislative Assembly area for election. Over the period, the place has grown and now there is a multi purpose building where Inox Eros is located for movie and Barbeque Nation too. This is connected through Delhi Metro Network of Violet Line and name of Metro Station is Jangpura Metro itself. Overall a good residential colony.
