It's a quite good place because there are couple of government departments are located nearby, so the radius of metro station is very clean and atmosphere is good. Quite a few options to eat street foods.

It’s now used for parking to visit government offices around it. JLN stadium parking grounds are used.

Good place, it is neat and clean near the station area but not so much in the washroom. The escalator was also not working near one of the exit gate. Also if they can add some shops to the area it would be even better.

Metro station which is located centrally around various government buildings. Just outside metro, bus station is also there.

JLN Stadium Metro Station is in close vicinity to Dyal Singh College of DU, NIA HW and SSC HW and obviously to the JLN Stadia

It is a clean Metro station near to JLN stadium and many more places like the famous Sai Mandir of Lodhi road and Also near to the SSC head office.

Around the stadium many Central govt offices and PSU are located. Very convenient to reach by metro, bus and taxi

The stadium is perfect for any outdoor events. I did attend Sunburn Arena and the Food Fest. Mobile wash rooms are available (which were clean, surprisingly, considering the other reviews which I had checked earlier). The area is huge. I would highly recommend that wear a pair of comfortable shoes (ladies, try to refrain from wearing heels as you'll end up having blisters of the size of pancakes).

The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is a Delhi Metro station in Delhi, on the Violet Line. As its name suggests, the station serves the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and its surrounding areas. The station opened in time for the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony, to be held on the same day at the stadium, on 3 October 2010.

The metro station is at close proximity of the JLN Stadium and it is clean plus #accessible for Disabled people but it is sometimes tough to get rickshaw outside the metro station.

This is a big stadium with ample space inside and outside too. The stadium has good no. Of rest rooms and the place is neat and clean. I have watched cricket match here and the view is good. There are facilities for training in various sports and matches and other big entertainment events are often organised here. The lighting's at night during events make this stadium very beautiful.

So, the photos I posted in response to the JLN stadium feed was related to the Li'l Flea Market that was held at JLN stadium from 1-3 Feb. Though a bit overpriced it was, I ended up having some pocket-friendly goodies from there. Keep an eye on this market guys, as they might be back in Delhi. As per sources"Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is the national stadium of India, located in Delhi.  It is a 60,000 seat stadium, designed and constructed to meet the international standards for stadiums set by the Asian Football Confederation  (AFC), the International Federation of Association Football  (FIFA) and the International Association of Athletics Federations  (IAAF). In terms of seating capacity, it is the fourth largest stadium in India,  27th largest stadium in Asia and the 103rd largest stadium in the world. " It is well connected by JLN Metro and over the years many events like marathon, food festivals, musical nights etc.are hosted and organised here regularly. It is beautiful and pride of DELHI and looks more beautiful after renovation of the same in 2009-2010 in order to host Common Wealth Games.

Mostly food truck festival held here every year

This is a nice place specially designed for the athletic games during the commonwealth games 2010. Located near Lodhi road. Nearby is government offices like ssc office and many more.

पं. जवाहर लाल नेहरू का जन्म 14 नवंबर, 1889 को प्रयाग (इलाहाबाद) में हुआ था । इनके पिता का नाम मोतीलाल नेहरू था । मोतीलाल नेहरू एक प्रसिद्ध वकील थे । वे काफी संपन्न व्यक्ति थे । बाद में उन्होंने देश के स्वतंत्रता आन्दोलन में भाग लिया था ।

जवाहर लाल की माता का नाम श्रीमती स्वरूप रानी था । माता-पिता के इकलौते पुत्र होने के कारण बालक जवाहर लाल को घर में काफी लाड़-प्यार मिला । इसकी

प्रारंभिक शिक्षा घर पर हुई । घर पर इन्हें पढ़ाने के लिए एक अंग्रेज शिक्षक को नियुक्त किया गया था । 15 वर्ष की आयु में जवाहर लाल को शिक्षा प्राप्ति के लिए इंग्लैण्ड भेज दिया । वहाँ इन्होंने हैरो स्कूल में, फिर कैम्ब्रिज विश्वविद्यालय में अध्ययन किया । सन् 1912 ई. में बैरिस्ट्री की परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण कर वे भारत लौट आए । 1915 में जवाहर लाल कमला नेहरू के साथ विवाह-सूत्र में बँध गए ।
स्वदेश लौटने पर नेहरू जी ने वकालत आरंभ की परंतु उसमें उनका चित्त नहीं रहा । भारत की परतंत्रता उनके मन में काँटे की तरह चुभती थी । उन्होंने इंग्लैण्ड का स्वतंत्र वातावरण देखा था, उसकी तुलना में भारत दीन – हीन देश था । यहाँ की दीन दशा के लिए अंग्रेजों की नीति जिम्मेदार थी । उधर पंजाब में हुए जलियाँवाला हत्याकाँड ने उनके मन को झकझोर कर रख दिया । नेहरू जी ने पहले होमरूल आदोलन में भाग लिया, फिर गाँधी जी के नेतृत्व में चल रहे अहिंसात्मक आदोलन में सक्रिय सहयोग देने लगे । राजसी ठाठ-बाट छोड्‌कर खादी का कपड़ा पहना और सत्याग्रही बन गए । असहयोग आदोलन में बढ़-चढ़ कर भागीदारी की । इसके बाद उन्होंने संपूर्ण जीवन देश की सेवा में अर्पित कर दिया । 1920 से लेकर 1944 तक अनेक बार जेलयात्राएँ कीं और यातनाएँ सहीं ।

सन् 1929 में लाहौर अधिवेशन में जवाहर लाल जी कांग्रेस के अध्यक्ष बने । नेहरू जी ने इस अधिवेशन में पूर्ण स्वराज्य की माँग की । अपनी कार्य – क्षमता और सूझ-बूझ से उन्होंने कांग्रेस को नई दिशा दी । उन्हें कांग्रेस का अध्यक्ष कई बार बनाया गया । नेहरू जी ने 1942 के भारत छोड़ो आदोलन में सक्रिय भागीदारी की और तीन वर्ष तक कारावास मैं रहे ।

अंतत: 1946 में अंग्रेज सरकार ने भारत का स्वतंत्र करने का निर्णय लिया । 15 अगस्त 1947, के दिन भारत अंग्रेजीं की दा सौ वर्षों की गुलामी को पछाड़ कर स्वतंत्र राष्ट्र बन गया । नेहरू जी स्वतंत्र राष्ट्र के प्रथम प्रधानमंत्री बने । सन् 1952 में पहला आम चुनाव हुआ । इसमें कांग्रेस को जीत मिली और नेहरू जी पुन: प्रधानमंत्री बने । इसके बाद वे आजीवन भारत के प्रघानमंत्री के पद पर रहे ।

Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium metro station is mainly tools for lawyers and some good offices are represent its opportunities for office goers and the intern Sandlas it is well connected actually on violet line and connected through through Kashmiri Gate at is Yellow line and line and you can also get around at Central Secretariat comes as a strategic. And this is clean and good only two two station join together so has a great space and very less crowded all the time. This connects to yellow and magenta lines. In outside metro s, station, greenery is there and quite place rickshaw always available in front of it Less noise and no rush is there. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium metro station is mostly cleaned but their vending machine dont work most of the time. If u want to head to nizamuddin railway station then get down at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and take a sharing e rikshaw from exit who will charge 20rs per person. Well maintained station on the violet line of Delhi metro. Mostly non-crowded. Helpful onsite staff.

The train started to come after 6 am. The train continuosly started to come after 6 am, the token system is good but they should have displayed that how to use it. If u are new to be in metro traveling u may find it little difficult but as u travel 2-3 time everything will be clear. I love the foot steps of different colour line u just have to follow the colour which has your destiny and it will lead u to where u want to go. The metro is good in inside but because its india it gets crowdy and u have to wait for another train.
