The whole experience was amazing. They serve authentic ramen and the whole vibe of this place felt like I was in Japan. The price is okay, a little on the expensive side but you can buy ramen and it can easily serve 2 people, so fair enough.
Kofuku located in Ansal plaza mall, ground floor. Went for a dinner, we were 5 people in total. Review for the same is as below:
Ambiance: The mall itself is not that great but the restaurant once you in it is quit nice and ambiance gives a authentic Japanese experience. We were 5 people and got the cabin with floor sitting. The same was a good decision and the experience was very nice. You have to take off your shoes to sit in the cabin.
Service: The Staff is very helpful and polite. They recommended few dishes which were really spot on. The table has a device on which you can press and get service. Service is fast.
Drinks: We had beer kingfisher ultra they have only big bottles, enso whiskey which was nice and in soft drinks coke and ginger ale. In mock tails we also tried the guava jalapeño sting which was nice.
Food: We tried a lot of things Starters: HORENSO SALAD which is spinach salad it comes as a sushi shaped but you need to use the chopstick to open it up, it was ver nice.
SPICY EDAMAME, this is one of my favourite dishes as it goes so well with beer.
AVOCADO CARPACCIO, this is veg avocado dish for me this was not too great the textures of avocado is too soft as per me.
YAKI GYOUZA - PORK, this was super yummy the gyozas were juicy and filled with flavour. A good pick as per me.
TOFU STEAK, this dish was veg and I usually don’t like tofu, but this dish was very tasty. A definite try, we liked it so much we ordered another portion of it with main course.
CRISPY PRAWN CHEUNG FUNG, this was one of the best dishes we had. The prawn was yummy and texture was crunchy and juicy. This is a definite try if you visit this place.
GRILLED ASPARAGUS PORK, the dish was decent though I didn’t find anything wrong with it but the portion size of it was a bit small as per me.
In the main course we ordered:
YASAI CHAHAN - VEG, which is basically Japanese fried rice, we ordered another portion of tofu steak with it.
TEPPAN YAKI FRIED RICE PRAWNS, as the name suggests this was tasty and the prawns were really a good option.
KAKUNI PORK, this was pork belly with a bit of gravy covered with a fried egg on top. It was a nice dish. The food overall was very nice and authentic.
Cost: Our meal for 5 costed us 10,250INR which turns out to be 2000 per person for the experience and quality of food and service was ok as per me. This amount also included service charge and cost for alcohol 2 big bottles of beer and one small whiskey.
Overall a good place to experience Japanese food. Do make reservations if you want to get the cabin sitting which elevates the dining experience.
Love the food! Try the special cocktails, especially liked "Mary went to Japan" - Japanese twist of the "Bloody Mary"- spicy and delicious. Also try "land of the rising sun". Saki Maki Sushi was delicious. California Roll is also a favorite. Didn't quite like the egg roll as it was bland. Otherwise super happy with the food. Ambience is good too. Will recommend this place for anyone wanting authentic Japanese.
Delicious and authentic japanese food. Staff is very polite and the ambience is great. Yaki tori and ramen bowl are must try if you happen to visit this place.
The food was amazing. And the service was very polite and welcoming, the ambience and sitting arrangement were insane as well. I thought the cabin with mats would be a problem because I can't sit crossed legs for long but they have sufficient space below ground, it's just like a chair. My experience was amazing.
For a novice in Asian food, Kofuku is perfect for falling in love with Asian cuisine. They knock desserts out of the park and their sushi rolls are yummmm. Add to that the experience and vibe they provide, Kofuku is a must visit for a your friend circle. Although, its expensive, but its worth the price and hype
Quality food! The seafood was extremely fresh and everything tasted fantastic. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. A must visit if you enjoy Japanese food.
All of the food was amazing! Good sushi, very good dons, and very tasty tempura that my friend enjoyed a lot. The tempura soba had the most delicious broth that none of us could stop slurping. Drinks were well-mixed too; we ordered their specials. The ambience of the place is also very intimate and nice.
They have a very extensive menu. Probably the only place in the mall which was 90% full, others were completely empty. We had the seafood hotpot. It's a large serving, can be shared between 4 people. Nice flavoring and seafood quality was good.
I came here again, as I had enjoyed their mix Ramen, sushi and crisp prawns last time. This time ordered different sushi and hot and sour shrimp. Staff is so polite, helpful and efficient. Will visit again soon.
Absolutely love their food. The sushi Is excellent and the wasabi quite decent. The hotpot and the dumplings are excellent too. We prefer making a reservation as sometimes the inside tables- which have a low sunken style seating- are not available without a reservation. The only not so pleasant part is the parking at Ansal plaza.they charge quite a bit but it's not very nice. The staff at the restaurant though is incredibly polite and helpful.
Great Ambience! A little expensive but its AUTHENTIC Japanese. Whatever dishes you see and drool over in Animes are all available here. The quantity is really great. Make sure to order according to your appetite. The quality of the food and the service was really good. A must try.
This cozy Japanese restaurant in the heart of South Delhi's, Ansal Plaza never fails to let you down. All foodies be it vegetarians or non vegetarians can have a go at all the myriad options to dine. The service is impeccable and everything from the bar service, mixing of alcohol, food preparation and decor, plating and taste, table service etc is top class. The carpacios are to die for including the nigiris, sashimis and kakuni pork belly. Their hotpots can feed upto four people who love a good steaming broth with your favourite vegetables/tofu or all kinds of seafood, red and white meat options. One should experiment with their special cocktails especially the Red Cherry Sakura and try out their desserts such as the green tea ice cream. The washroom is located outside the restaurant in the same complex. I would recommend you to make a reservation so that you get to sit inside the traditionally curated stalls inside the restaurant. Other seating options include regular seating within the restaurant which is a bit cramped especially if you come in a group of 3 or more
Extremely soothing vibe, almost feels like you're transported to Japan. Beautiful food. The Cheung fun, katsu Don and the miso ramen were downright Amazing.
A very good place to have a Japanese themed meal with family/friends. The staff was super polite and the food was really good. My recommendation would be the OMG Sushi!
Very authentic place and food. Tradition style sitting is also available. Very tasty and well presented food and not very expensive for the whole experience! Must try!
They wre doing fraud with the bill.adding dishes which we didn't order. Added 3 dishes which we didn't order. We had to pay for 1 extra dish which we didn't order.
I would recommend this place for the decor and ambiance. Truly gives an authentic japanese vibe but still manages to accomodate comfort for those mot so accustomed. Loved the ton katsu ramen, but the miso ramen left alot to be desired. Even more so, it was the one they suggested. Same goes for their assorted sushi that had 18pcs of chef's special, Was too dry and had a bad smell. Deserts are what I would absolutely recommend this place for. Tried the mochi ice cream, the green tea (matcha) ice cream and a dorayaki and was spell bound with the taste. They advertise korean food, yet key korean dishes like any korean bbq was totally missing.
Absolutely authentic and delicious Japanese food. The grilled asparagus wrapped in pork belly blew my mind. Sushi was alright, nothing spectacular. Ramen was hearty and beautifully presented. The decor and ambience is perfect.
It's a tidy and cosy place to enjoy eating out. I've been here twice and I'm not disappointed at all. A place to visit if you have a lot of things to talk about. A point to note is that it's not a fast food restaurant so, once you order something, it might take some time till it get to you. But the menu is worth the wait.
Lovely sushi rolls, prawn tempura Dumplings and Teppanyaki fried rice! Prompt and courteous service too! Great place for authentic Japenese food! Keep it up guys!
I have been a regular here since the last 3 years and have never had enough! The way they have upheld their standards is amazing! What courteous staff with glistening smiles! Keep it up team Kofuku️
It's a Korean restaurant that serves Japanese food, too, done lightly and well. The sorts of items to go for are an excellent "spider roll" (soft-shell crab), a mixed sushi and sashami platter that has nigiri tuna, salmon, crab sticks and the standard sushi on the 18-piece non-veg selection, the cod in miso glaze (outstanding) and excellent yaki gyouza pork dumplings (give the boring chicken a miss). Pricey but well worth it. The spider roll, freely available in its Mumbai outlet, was not available in Delhi. A word about the sake. They have a selection of excellent, high-end chilled sake which will be pushed. Be warned that the best (per serving of 90 ml) is ₹1500 + 20% DVAT. So, unless you fancy yourself a connoisseur, stay with a standard sake/beer/wine. The prawn tempura is good but can be dropped. If there's only one thing good you would like to eat, this reviewer's opinion is to go for the cod. There's private seating and also wood-panelled, open-plan. Service is excellent and helpful in getting you to figure what you'd like to eat. Arigatōgozaimashita!
Had Shusi which was just awesome for my first experience. A must have food dish over there. Everything was an overwhelming experience for me.will visit again.
One of the best places who manage to serve some delicious Japanese stuff. Enjoyed the food service. This place has active and friendly staff. The restaurant's hygiene is at its peak. I'd definitely suggest to try the place at least once. Highlight: All sushis are served with fresh wasabi, where the wasabi rhizome is grated at your table. Fresh wasabi lacks the pungent punch of regular wasabi and is much smoother on the palate.
Excellent Japanese food. I went to this restaurant for the first and it was a delicious experience. Tried almost 10 different Japanese cuisines (pardon me for not remembering the names) and they were all brilliantly made. They have a huge space outside to host small gatherings. Seating style is traditional Japanese which takes the experience to a whole new level. Staff is welcoming and will help u decide what to eat. Do not forget to try Japanese rice wine - Sake This place gets 5 on 5 on my list. Would love to visit again.
It was a fun experience for my family and I. It had a small yet cosy atmosphere. Casual dinning experience. Great food especially the black cod delicacy. Good for kids and quite affordable.
Had a lot of nice stuff at the restaurant, the shrimp tempura rolls are to die for. The Balinese curry with sticky rice was also nice, but found the miso ramen a little bland. Overall, a nice experience.
Good place, good food, good people, Exactly of my taste foods. But for my friend circles 10% not satisfied because there was no spicy food.i won't regret visiting again.
Kofuku is a Japanese restaurant where you can find all the Japanese cuisines you ever wanted to try but the vegetarian options are not as good. Though Mochi icecream is awesome! It's technologically advanced place
This place is totally authentic Japanese, so you must visit this place if you like the Japanese cuisine, Sakura is a must try with Oh my God Sushi. The staff is also very nice, but before you go please get your cabin reservations done, cause otherwise you'll have to sit in normal table and chairs
I have never been disappointed with the food - one of the best sashimi in Delhi and absolutely love the bloody mary they serve. Their staff are relaxed and warm without being intrusive. This is one of my fav places to have good food and relax with friends:)
