I absolutely loved this place! It's so lush and filled with fresh air. The cleanliness is impressive, and you can spot squirrels and many other birds around. It's a great spot for collecting beautiful pictures. They do have a small pool, but I'd say it's not as tidy. Be sure to bring water and snacks if you plan to stay long since the charges inside can be high. Many people visit for morning and evening walks, and it's pet-friendly too. Restrooms are available at some ends, and just a tip, there are multiple exit points, so don't get confused!

Delhi's loveliest escape was originally named after the wife of the British Resident, Lady Willingdon, who had two villages cleared in 1936 in order to landscape a park containing the Lodi-era tombs. Today, these lush, tree-shaded gardens – a favoured getaway for Delhi's elite, local joggers and courting couples – help protect more than 100 species of trees and 50 species of birds and butterflies, as well as half a dozen fabulously captivating 15th-century Mughal monuments.

I m impressed with Cleanliness, well kept gardens, Greenery and security measures. Authorities deserve compliments and a patting for this. One thing I did not liked was thronging of Vendors. There were lots of them even at 9.30 am, which I came to know grows multiple times during the day. My concern is about unwanted elements in the form of vendors. There can b licensed kiosks. But corruption is more important than public safety in India.
05 फरवरी 2019 7:32
Went to Andhra bhawan and got some food packed and then headed to Lodhi garden with family.
Parking is a problem apart from that everything is good and perfect spot for family picnic.
Dustbins installed everywhere and well maintained.
Take your family kids, pack some food and a few outdoor toys to spend a family day out.
You can also enjoy fountains and the tomb inside the park.

Grow up guys, change ur mentalities.
Couples getting cozy here is not a sexual activity.
And the people who r saying couples doing sexual activities. Could u people plz elaborate the meaning of sexual activity as there r many dumb people in our country who considers kissing as sexual activity too.
And if u have problem don’t go to those areas.
More than 70% of the Garden could be considered as open area where u won’t find couples.
Plz roam there
12 जनवरी 2019 5:15
It is the epitome of plant species diversity, there is no place better for a run or a stroll, gets really crowded during peak hours like any good place but still it's worth a regular visit, I would suggest going really early or really late.
12 जनवरी 2019 4:47
It's a nice Place, but some couples are ruining it. Otherwise it's good for family Picnic, Photography and Painting at the Lake side. ***Lake is also not clean, I think proper maintenance is missing for the park.
08 जनवरी 2019 22:33
Totally in love with this place. Especially early morning. So many variety of plants and birds. Monuments of historical importance. Absolute peace in the middle of Delhi. Love it
08 जनवरी 2019 17:40
It's a nice place to hang out early in the morning. The greenery lets you relax and have peace of mind. The Garden is huge with a lot of birds, an artificial pond with fishes and swans, different types of flora and flowers along with historical architecture, hence making it a perfect spot for family picnics and group activities.
It's also a couple's destination so you'll see couples making out here and there usually during the afternoon hours but it ain't usually a trouble since most are decent enough to keep these activities to the edges of the garden where most people don't go.
04 जनवरी 2019 6:15
It's a really great spot for family picnic out.and the are feels serene and comfortable. It's is really neat and clean. There were no rude guards or stuff like that. Overall a great place to unwind.

Lodi Gardens or Lodhi Gardens is a city park situated in New Delhi,  India. Spread over 90 acres (360,000 m2), it contains, Mohammed Shah's Tomb,  Tomb of Sikandar Lodi,  Shisha Gumbad and Bara Gumbad,  architecturalworks of the 15th century by Lodis - who ruled parts of northern India and Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of modern-day Pakistan, from 1451 to 1526. The site is now protected by the Archaeological Survey of India  (ASI). The tomb of Mohammed Shah, the second last of the Sayyid dynasty rulers, the earliest of the tombs in the garden, was built in 1444 by Ala-ud-din Alam Shah as a tribute to Mohammed Shah. As there is little architecture from these two periods remaining in India, Lodi Gardens is an important place of preservation. The tomb of Mohammed Shah is visible from the road, and is the earliest structure in the gardens. The architecture is characterised by the octagonal chamber, with stone chhajjas on the roof and guldastas on the corners.

Another tomb within the gardens is that of Sikander Lodi, which is similar to Mohammed Shah's tomb, though without the chhatris, it was built by his son Ibrahim Lodi in 1517, the last of Sultan of Delhi from Lodi dynasty, as he was defeated by Babur,  First battle of Panipatin 1526, this laying the foundation of the Mughal Empire. His tomb is often mistaken to be the Shisha Gumbad, and is actually situated in near the tehsil office in Panipat, close to the Dargah of Sufi saint Bu Ali Shah Qalandar. It is a simple rectangular structure on a high platform approached by a flight of steps. The tomb was renovated by the British, and an inscription mentioning Ibrahim Lodi's defeat at the hands of Babur and the renovation was included in 1866.  Under the Mughals major renovations would often take place depending on what occasions they would use the gardens for, under Akbar the Great the garden was used as an observatory and to keep records in a purpose built library.

In the centuries, after the 15th century Sayyidand Lodi dynasties, two villages grew around the monuments, but the villagers were relocated in 1936 in order to create the gardens. During British Raj, it was landscaped by Lady Willingdon, wife of Governor-General of India,  Marquess of Willingdon, and hence named the 'Lady Willingdon Park' upon its inauguration on 9 April 1936,  and 1947, after Independence, it was given its present name, Lodi Gardens.

A garden full of greenery and trees and having a large ground to play and walk throughout, this place is a hidden treasure. One must visit this place where one realise that in the crowded capital of India, there is a green place in the central part of Delhi.it is wonderful where u can have a small lake and during morning and evening, many people come for walk where u can find high and mighty people of the capital.though this is very old tracing it's origin to Tughlak and Lodhi Dynasty, it has been maintained well and kept in excellent ways.a wonderful place.

One of the beat gardens of Delhi. You can get both experiences of visiting a garden and a place full of few old monuments too. The garden is full of greenery, flowers and lake. Everything is well maintained and clean. Also a very good destination for different kind of photoshoots whether it is Pre-Wedding, Maternity or normal modelling shoot. You can also visit it as a picnic spot with your family to spend some quality time over there.

Really loved my visit here. It was peaceful, calm and beautiful after mostly having seen the chaos of Old Delhi. The old tombs and monuments are really beautiful, set as they are amidst the well-cultivated gardens. This is a lovely place just to wander: it'd also be nice to bring a picnic here and chill out for a while. Great place to visit if you're feeling a bit overwhelmed by Delhi. Also saw some interesting birds and wildlife here. This garden is just beautiful with amazing tombs. There are nice paths to walk on and clearly marked signage to help you get around the park and not miss anything. I really enjoyed this park. Limited parking, but on our day no problem. Free access, well maintained, with some amazing structures to walk through. Definitely a family friendly, relaxing, and photographic way to spend a few hours, or a meal on the grass! Real nice surprise in an otherwise hectic city!
