Madpackers Hostel Delhi

Had an excellent stay at Madpackers Bir. It’s situated just next to nyingma kitchen with an amazing view too. Thanks to the host Tanisha too for her amazing hospitality. Highly recommended for solo traveler’s.

Their taxi guy vicky is rude, and misogynist. They should find some other taxi guy.he is taking advantage, if we need to travel in night he will be rude and demand any money

If you plan for a trip to Manali, I would strongly recommend this place because you will definitely find best company there.

POV: never ever try to mess with Arun. Best people soft hearted, fun loving, he is the golden heart of Madpackers without him you will not get the vibes that you looking for in Manali.

Non AC dorm in rainy or summer season is not the place to be in, poorly ventilated and just two fans for 8 people.otherwise hostel is good, you can visit terrace to smoke, you have a nice reading section, nice dining hall, overall very clean and tindy environment.

There are many things in mind to say.
It was an amazing stay and I would highly recommend anyone who is travelling solely or with friends that forget about hotels, go for it.

Facilities and peoples which whom I met was awasome I must say, if you want some good vibes than stay here and other hostels like madpackers.
Everything was grate, felt like second home and would prefer everytime.

Just an average hostel. Lift doesn't work. Water leaks in the common space opposite to the kitchen, no hot water in the toilets, no toileteries, towel also is charged seperately.

I hardly give 5 to anyone, good thing about here is the vibe, people are really friendly, managers and other guys are nice and truly helping.

I visit everytime here, once I was really in depression like one of the worst day in years but people made it happy for me without knowing that Im in depression. Best in Dilli. You can go for more suffocated places like Roots or other but this one is love.

It was quite a wonderful stay. Great environment, clean beds, friendly staff. Just the bathroom was a mess, it was clean but the floor was wet and dirty. I liked the place.

Just love this hostel. According to me this is best one in the country! What a vibe they have. It’s just so awesome place with many amenities, cool graffitis, delicious food. They even serve free tea with traditional Indian bhujia in evening. There breakfast is also fulfilling and delicious. The best part is it changes everyday so if you stay for 4-5 days you won’t get bored. Staff is very welcoming and super cool, they are always ready to help you enjoy max. Aloukika is really sweet and always helpful. You should definitely stay here once.

Great place to stay. Staff is super friendly. And the ambience is great. Feels like you are spending time with your close friends. Plus, the food and the bakery is awesome.

Amazing place to stay, away from the crowd. Really warm and chill manager and the best part was the view.

Amongst the best hostels I have stayed at. The atmosphere at Madpackers is fantastic because of the amazing and interactive staff. The hostel premises and the rooms are well maintained and kept very clean. They have a beautiful space with a lot of character and a lot of nice common spaces that are very conducive to mingle with fellow hostelers. The hostel also organizes a lot of group activities everyday that are really fun and give you a taste of what Delhi has to offer. Highly recommended!

I have stayed in hostels
In the past n have a fair idea of how hostels operate. This property which was earlier a hotel called "krishna palace"
This hostel has an add on of this amazingly decorated property.
The walls are beautiful and painted by local articians.
So this place has fairly got that as an advantage.
We were there on 30 and 31st december. I along with my partner took private room. The management now of madpackers is very disappointing! This is managed by few young guys and few staff members
They can't handle the daily running of this hostel n neither provide sufficient complimentary breakfast.
In my room, one day there was a foul smell and flush of WC was not working followed by no water in taps.
The proceeding day the electricity was not there n we managed our packing in light absence. They have strict rules and can't justify such rules by the type of facilities they are providing!
I see the intent of managing the whole set up in a better way n hence would request the management above these guys to help them better.
It's a BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY PLEASE DONT LET GO OFF THIS BY SUCH POOR MANAGEMENT.

The energy and connections you get to experience here will be way more than what you hoped for. The staff are incredibly warm, welcoming and hilarious. Highly recommended!

Amazing hostel. If your coming to Delhi you need to stay there great.day trips the Delhi belly was my favorite trying lots of different street food.

Guys running the hostel are ace and will help you book tickets and sort anything out you need help with

I stayed there for two nights and it was really a nice time. It's a very sociable hostel with a nice atmosphere. Met so many nice people there. I did the street food tour which was really nice but a lil bit overpriced though Metro is just in 900m distance so it's easy to reach other parts of the city Hostel also helps you to book an uber if you like. They also help you with booking bus or train tickets. They offer sim cards but too overpriced. Bought one for 3 months for 1200 rupies while a friend of mine bought the same one straight in the airtel store for 500 rupies

The staff who works here are awesome hats off to everyone specially the guy name Anas (he is the best i saw him how much he care about everyone even if all the other staff are busy celebrating diwali with each other he is the guy who was taken care of our food as most of the resturant and shops were closed at that time he arrange a lunch and a dinner for everyone.i have a huge respect for the hard work of this guys you made our first festival in india best apart from everyone celebrating you were there who was taking care of hostel goodwill and for everyone)
overall my stay was awesome there i like the games which was host by Anas.

Highly recommend this hostel to everyone i will definetly come back to this place.

So, let's say you're a westerner and it's your first time in India. You fly into Delhi. It's crowded. The streets are chaos. There are cows in the road. And it's bloody hot. What are you going to do? Go to a tourist office? Catch a hop on/hop off bus to the red fort?

Pssh, not for one second. You're finally here and you're excited but you're nervous because you've been told so often to take caution.

Enter Madpackers hostel. Check this, so one they'll pick you up from the airport. If you arrive at 5am, this is a big deal.

When you get there you'll notice a cafe that serves up really good food and tea, which you're so thankful for because you're mad with hunger after that long, arduous flight that was delayed unexpectedly. Eating there will be one of the first things you'll do.

You'll see the common room where guests relax, read, and commune. If you're lucky, you'll be able to watch a cricket match there like I did, or participate in impromptu Bollywood dancing, like my partner did.

There's the rooftop, where you'll sit and talk and smoke and drink (if that's your thing) later in the night.

In the morning, you'll want to see Delhi but you'll have to brace for the chaos. Fret not. Madpackers has a number of tours to help you see the city in an authentic way, but without any of the chaos. I highly recommend the Delhi Belly food tour, but there's also a sundowner's tour for sunset lovers, a Taj Mahal day trip and other things going on (we played a cricket game on afternoon).

Okay, tours, common rooms, and good foods are the tentpoles of a good hostel. Fine. But what makes Madpacker's great?

It's the people there. Not just the travelers (though they are pretty rad) but the employees, Raghu and Anes specifically. These guys see so many people come and go, but they know everyone's name. They befriend you quickly. They'll hang with you, dance with you, eat with you (if you want them to), and joke with you. They'll give hugs when you leave.

These guys understand what it's like to travel and are adept at delivering all the amenities you need. And when you realize you finally have to leave, alll the employees are great at helping you book your next step (train bookings can be tricky).

Oh, and they'll help you install sim cards, too (which can be quite complicated).

Book madpackers. Make friends with Raghu and Anes.

My only Go-To stay choice in Delhi.very close to the Metro.super clear and the most friendly hostel crew I've seen in the country.

If you are a Traveller, here is where you HAVE to stay. Go on the tours with them, and don't waste time looking for any other option if you are looking for a backpacker place.

Awesome place. Great price for what you get. Great place to meet other travelers. There was a point where I was trying to help another traveler get a better deal on money exchange by referring her to a near by exchange but one of the guys at the front desk was very sneaky to discredit me and distract the other person so that they get the commission.

Definitely one of the best hostel in the country. They don't just give you a place to stay but they also conducts multiple activities that you can sign up for. And chewy, their hostel dog, is the cutest

It's situated at a very convenient location. Very accessable to the metro station and in close proximity to the Airport.

The dorm rooms definitely need maintenance and improvement. Though the sheets are cleaned well but the quilts can be extremely dirty as they're not cleared regularly.

At times I felt the lacklustered approach to cleanliness can be attributed to a bunch of immature kids looking after the day to day activities

Best hostel in Delhi!
I traveled to India alone and they made me feel safe and brave enough to get out into the city.

Hands down the most social hostel in Delhi! I always begin and end my trip here, it’s a great place to meet people and travel together. Staff go above and beyond to help you with trains and getting around locally. And offer great tours.
There’s a hospital right across the road with excellent English from all staff so if you get sick or injure yourself it’s very handy. Local street food is 3 blocks away (highly mentioned on trip advisor), you can finish your night off on the roof top of the hostel drinking and smoking AND still have a great sleep because the dorms, beds, AC are quite and comfortable.
I’ve travelled a lot been to countless hostels, believe me when I say you’d be missing out if you didn’t stay here.

Awesome hostel. So many really cool people are always coming through here. Friendly and hilarious staff really encourage a social vibe. Beds are comfy, good ac and a decent restaurant plus both floors have Reverse osmosis/UV water dispensers which is great for cutting down plastic consumption while traveling. Also a nice relatively laid back part of town. Wouldnt consider staying anywhere else in Delhi!
