Right before departure, I broke my glasses and ran to the first optician I came across. Unfortunately, there were no ready-made glasses for my vision, but they assured me that they would make them in just an hour. And so it happened!
I chose a good frame, made a discount, measured the distance and measured the diopters on the old lenses. Within an hour I received my new glasses! Thank you!

The owner is such a kind person and prices are very genuine

Don't waste your money.
Many years ago this used to be a good place.
However the original owner is no more and there are just a couple of tricky staff running it.

They are selling 10 year+ old models with just a handful of new glasses for show.
Because the old models are so old, they have had to replace the lenses which have deteriorated.

So almost all the sunglasses do not have the original lenses which they have replaced with cheap quality plastic not like the high quality poly-carbonate or glass lenses they came with originally.

Just check if the manufacturers name is on the lens.
What they did with me is show me other glasses from the manufacturer that didn't have the name on the lens, as a way of proving that the lenses are original.

But those lenses were replacements also! So this a underhand sales technique to excuse their stories.

Furthermore, when you hold the sunglasses to the light, you can see that there are many small scratches.

They then showed me other glasses and said it is normal!

But all those lenses were either very old or replacements also!

These are very misleading sales practices and the staff had no shame in telling such stories.

They admitted the lenses in some of the glasses were replacements after I had bought them but refused to give a refund and made me buy more glasses.

So I would suggest you take great care going into this shop nowadays as nothing is what it seems. The old designs they say are pre covid but actually they are at least 10 years old and in many cases 15 years old.

In this case the lens has either started to separate from its coating or has been replaced but they won't tell you that.

Whats more they are quoting original prices with just a small discount.

These glasses are 'dead stock' and should not be sold for any more than 1000rs at most, yet they will kid you that the glasses are just 4 or 5 years old and not mention the cheap replacement lenses.

It is not a nice feeling to be misled and overcharged for substandard products, which is why I recommend you avoid this business.

Note: The shop owner has replied very nicely but not addressed the many points I made about replaced lenses, misleading sales techniques, old stock and scratches.
The glasses 'given' for 'free' were not free because they were in place of the refund I was requesting and not anything I would have voluntarily bought.
Make your own conclusions.

I received excellent service from them, especially from Vinod. I was fitted with glasses (vision) with a lot of patience and understanding. And they also told me that if I have problems in Israel, I will write to them and they will help me with anything I need.
Come to them and see for yourself, highly recommend.

Great opticians. Vinod and Ravi treated me with courtesy, professionalism and kindness. I didn’t feel that they were pushing me to buy products. They (successfully!) managed to put lenses into a pair of glasses / frames that I had broken a few months ago and was told by a previous optician that new lenses (in the broken frames) would be impossible. Not for Ravi and Vinod! Like magicians!

Also they were honest about the turn around time on my glasses and they offered delivery to my hotel. I was close enough to the shop that I picked them up. And they were even ready a little bit earlier. This was very important as I only had a few nights in Delhi and the glasses needed to be ready before my departure.

I was very pleased by the service I received from all staff at Medilkos. In particular, Vinod and Ravi deserve extra thanks.

Wir kommen schon seit etwa 10 jahren hierher und lassen unsere lesebrillen machen.meine frau ist letzte woche extra um sich eine lese und weitsichtbrille machen zu lassen von nepal nach delhi geflogen und von dort nach goa.normalerweise wäre sie direkt von nepal nach goa geflogen.die brille von PERSOL mit den 2 verschiedenen sichttypen hätte in europa fast 1000€ gekostet.hier waren es nur 370€. Das auch noch super schnell, von 2pm bis 10pm abholbereit, weil am nächsten morgen schon um 9am der flug nach goa war.also fazit, volles vertrauen, superschnell, billig und gute qualität.

I had eyeglasses remade in this shop at Main Bazar. The staff is extremely kind, they treated me right away as a regular customer and advised me in the best way according to my needs without making me spend more than necessary. In fact, I asked for a quality but not expensive frame and they managed to find what was right for me. It's not easy to find trusted people here in New Delhi, but they absolutely are! They have glasses of all kinds of brands: from the most famous brands to Indian brand. In addition to being extremely competent and trustworthy, they were very fast! I had my new glasses in less than 1 day! The day after entering Medikos I was already wearing my new glasses on, while I sipping a delicious homemade tea, offered with the kindness that distinguishes them. Absolutely recommended!

Vinod and Manish took care of us so well. Both my husband and I had prescriptions taken and glasses made in the same day. They also procured contact lenses that we needed and we even took a pair of very cute sunglasses. The prices are very fair and no pressure sales. Great selection, clean shop and they took care of us literally like family making sure we had refreshments and were comfortable at all times. They can even ship overseas! We will definitely be back and tell all our friends and family.:).
