Mehrauli Archaeological Park, with its historic treasures like the Jamali Kamali mosque and tombs, is a hidden gem in Delhi. It's like stepping back in time amidst the city's hustle and bustle. The intricate Mughal architecture and the serene surroundings create an enchanting atmosphere. It's a lesser-known spot, which means you can explore the history and tranquility without the crowds. If you're into history and looking for a peaceful escape in Delhi, this park is a fascinating destination to discover. Don't forget to explore the nearby Qutub Minar complex while you're in the area!

Good place to visit. There are lots of trees and plants. You can relax and calm yourself here.

Half of the structures are under construction. Only the gardens are well kept. Baoli is full of dirty water. Directions are confusing and not clearly marked. Balban tomb is closed for public but a makeshift madarasa is operational there. The entry is inconspicuous and the road was muddy due to lack of concrete road and proper drainage. DDA and ASI work is disappointing considering the value of the history that lies here.

Its a nice place to see the earliest buildings of the Mughal era in India. The building date back to the 1500s (Humayun’s time). It is very pretty to look at but unfortunately the park isn’t very maintained. Also couples use this park to make out and be indecent in this park. The deeper you walk in the more people you will find smoking weed or make out in a very explicit manner. Not recommend for families.

It is the only area in Delhi known for 1,000 years of continuous occupation, and includes the ruins of Lal Kot built by Tomar Rajputs in 1060 CE, making it the oldest extant fort of Delhi, and architectural relics of subsequent period, rule of Khalji dynasty, Tughlaq dynasty, Lodhi dynasty of Delhi Sultanate, Mughal Empire, and the British Raj

A few, as in one or two, sites worth seeing, but hard to navigate. Felt unsafe. Lots of squatters and boys riding around on motorcycles, or else couples hiding out. As foreigners my bf and I felt like we stood out too much. Lots of construction going on as well so many sites are not accessible.

Compared to other monuments nearby this is well maintained. Most of the survivors is intact. There is no secure parking area but may park outside the building or near the park. At work inside the tomb is specially beautiful.

I was in awe when I first visited this hidden gem, right behind Qutub Minar premises. The ancient structures amid the pathway of forest are quite interesting. They look spooky at times. But history attracts me and this place impressed a lot.

I really like to visit this park. As it's very big so i can easily roam inside it. Best park for picnic and rest. All monuments present there are also beautiful. You should must visit this place you like walking or spend time alone in parks. There are many beautiful flowers and dogs present there. They should have a free public toilet inside the park so people won't have any problem while enjoying in the park. They have swings for children and open gym also for everyone. It's free for everyone. Anyone can come here and enjoy.

Located on the way to Qutub Minar from the eponymous metro station, it is an approximately 60 - 65 acre pary containing some heritage structures, most notably the tomb of Mohd Quli Khan.
The area is reasonably well-maintained. On a weekend one can see families enjoying picnics there. On weekdays one xan normally come across school and college children chilling out.
There is no entrance fee. The place has a lot of trees, lawns and flowerbeds, and one can spend quite a bit of time, even catch a couple of hours of sleep.

This place is good for those who want to explore historical monuments (which are mostly in ruins) along with taking a walk through the beautiful, lush green park of it. I've been to Mehrauli archaeological park only once, so i haven't explored it enough. The first thing i saw after entering into it, the Jamali Kamali mosque which was in a good condition. An intact architecture, i would say. You must see it if you visit Mehrauli archaeological park. Anyway, the most part of this site is reserved for archeologists, so they don't let us touch everything which seems so unfair to me, but if you have a connection with any archaeologist, then you can easily have a better exploration of this entire site. So find out any archaeologist or visit this place randomly like i did some months ago.

Located in the national capital of India, the Mehrauli Archaeological Park is an important historical site covering over 200 sq km area. The park is most famous for being the only area in Delhi to have 1000 regular years of occupation. Holding one of the highest cultural distinction in Delhi, the park is home to the worn-out tombs of many significant historical figures including Balban, Quli Khan, and Sufi poet Jamali. The archaeological park is also famous for housing the stepwell, 'Rajon ki Baoli'.

One of the most underrated historical place in Delhi, despite it being close to Qutub Minar not many people know about it. This is quite a spacious place and the sites here are atleast dates back to 13th century and further more. Food stalls and water are not available here so bring them with you and please don't litter as it's a beautiful place and we should respect it. You can find regular excavation activity happening here as it's a very prominent archeological site in Delhi so don't write on walls or disfigure it. Also Milan cinema is one of the most ancient and great cinema hall in Delhi under the seats you can find objects older than Neolithic period. Would visit 10/10.

This a beautiful park with a number monument. Here you will admire the beauty of monument which are under ASI & Park which is maintain by DDA. It’s a large area with beautiful gardening & view of Qutub Minar also. Morning to evening good to visit but avoid late evening here. If you go in a group more enjoy, photography coz not more crowd there. There is a Rose garden with number of historic monument.

Awesome place which has been very nanny managed. There is no management at all and the monuments are going to be in a very bad state soon. I have seen most of the people there with families and packed food for a days picnic outing. This can be much better managed to be a good tourist attraction at Mehrauli.

This place has rooh and noor. Went for a heritage walk to this place and my god! It makes you fall in love with it. I hope not many people ever get to know about this place but I hope people read more and know more about the life that existed in such areas of Delhi. A life that invited life and light, a life that valued and actively seeked love as a form of connecting with the divine, the 'BEING' within and beyond self rather than just merely existing in the 'being' of the material world. The place houses the Jamali Kamali mosque which needs a whole lot of you to take it in. The place has been known as a place for gathering, a place for 'mehfil of the djinns'.
