Meru Cabs

Booked cab at Indira Gandhi International Airport via the official Meru Booth. The Meru employee was chatting with a very pushy and aggressive taxi scammer that approached us beforehand, they appear to be working together. Driver and chaperone were very sketchy, asked for personal information, the exact date and time of our departure, how expensive my phone is and more. Sounded like they were considering robbing us.

He pretended to call our hotel for directions, but instead called a completely different number. Thinking i hadn't noticed, he gave me his phone to speak to the supposed hotel, i hung up and called the actual hotel. He then became very aggressive as the scam fell apart because of me, he also refused to give change.

Avoid at all cost, especially if you're a woman, just arrange transportation through your hotel.

Bang on time for pick up. Car in very good condition. Driver well behaved and driving skill very good

Driver (license plate ending in 8072) is a maniac. Drove at unnecessary fast speed and stopped in the middle of the roads for no reason.

Meru cabs very froud company. Today I booked from Terminal 2 for tilak nagar. At booking point they told 650, But after reaching destination they said me to pay 682. Driver was ready to fight with me.i don't know the name of driver.vehicle no. Was DL 1RTA 2986

Very unprofessional. I got a taxi from Delhi IGI airport to hotel in diplomatic enclave. Despite asking, I didn't get a price from the chaperone until I was in the taxi which was quoted at 2900 rupees. I paid 4000 rupees and the guy refused to give me any change. I later worked out that the rate should have been about 500-700 rupees. To make matters worse, I'm a fluent Hindi speaker and I heard the chaperone say to the driver in Hindi "This is a big charge". I responded in Hindi at this point that "I don't want a big charge". Both guys looked very embarrassed but still didn't reduce the fare. I didn't bother arguing as I was exhausted after a 10 hour flight but I would urge anyone to avoid this company at all costs.

Terrible service. My teenage daughter used them and was not given a ticket and the cab driver shouted at her. He then refused to give her change even though she could see he had change. He tried to grab her hand by force with the money in. But she managed to get away, and pay him only what she actually owed.
I used them a week later and was given a ticket which the driver kept and they did not take my phone number so I could receive an SMS with the final cost. I knew it should be 300 but he said 696! I told him to show me his phone. He refused at first then showed it and it said 299. He then said airport charges. I gave him the right amount. I would have tipped him if he hadn't have been such a lying cheat.

A little out fashioned but useful cab service. These are Radio Cabs operating ever since Ola and Uber didn't had their way in Indian market

Very bad experience. Driver could not speak English and he refused to bring us exactly in front of our hotel even if the street was big and easy to go. He also asked for extra money!

Very poor service. Unprofessional peoples.
Dirty vehicle, demands extra money when you reach destination.

Never use meru cabs.

Extremely filthy car. We took a meru cab from IGI T1. It was smelling so bad that instead of AC, we kept windows open thoughtout travel duration.

Do not use this company! We wanted to travel from Delhi Airport to the nearby Ambience Mall - approx. 15 minutes away. The Meru salesperson at the airport counter quoted a 400 INR set fee - we could pay by card immediately or pay cash to the driver at the destination. The driver then took a strange route that went the opposite direction first, claiming he had to make a U-turn - then at the end, he pointed to the meter and wanted almost 600 INR. He claimed we had to pay the meter fee, and we had no proof of the 400 INR quote. Now perhaps this fellow was telling the truth, but the salesperson at the very least had been misleading us. I was angry and insisted we go to the police station, where we settled the matter for only 450 INR. I understand this amount was not great for a foreign visitor, but it was a matter of principle. Passengers beware!

Driver behaviour- very rude, he dropped me 2 km before my destination at 12: 05 mid night. I booked ola from there for my destination. His excuse was he is not bound for your destination, if u book for Karol Bagh they will drop you at Karol Bagh main market, if u book for new Delhi, they will drop you at New Delhi main market irrespective of your destination. (Just like public buses)
Fare- very high (double to triple compare to ola and uber)
Cab quality- very poor.
I am completely disappointed from their services, they literally destroy my night. Dog were barking on me, my phone was dead, I was dropped at unknown dark road.
I strongly recommend all of you don't go with them, if u have no options then ask someone for a lift, ask someone to book ola or uber.
I wanted to give them zero star but I was bound to give atleast one star.

I am writing my experience at Delhi with Meru cab at the airport.
The only reason I took meru was that my phone was not having service, and couldn't book ola or uber

I went to the prepaid counter, and showed him the address. (I am not familiar with Delhi)
He charged me Rs 400.
I went to the pickup.
Some driver picked me, and on tge way he said that the address is at sector 23, and the payment was made for sector 21.
I asked him to go.
It was hardly 2kms extra (because I saw sector 21 metro station on the way, and it was ~1.5 km from there)
After reaching the hotel, he demanded Rs 200 extra and started making a hassle when I said I cannot pay Rs 200 for 1.5km extra) and I had to give him Rs 200 to make him go away
Is this the service Delhi provides to the rest of India and others from outside India?
