You are fighting for NFU. In respinse to Govt Affidavit: If our Brass-tack has conviction; they need to derive the implications from each of the the serials of the Affadavit and tell the Govt, how they have been tinkering with them progressively.thus they should restore what they have been curtailing and taking away from AF.including it's status vis-a-vis the IAS etc etc.eg overseas allowce of IPKF. Leave aside the NFU but they should assign the values which were / are enshrined in these clauses. 'If', on the day of hearing, CsOAS decide to depose. Govt Affidavit:

Reasons for Denial of NFU to Armed Forces
1. Policy making is Govt's exclusive domain & MoD as Cadre Cont Auth has decided
not to grant NFU to Def Forces.
2. Constitutional Right to Equality enshrined in Article 14 & 16 is not applicable to
AF.
3 Def Forces enjoy various prerequisites & amenities which are not available to Civ
Services.
Def Services have different service conditions & cannot be equated with Civ Gp A
Services.
5. Though NFU is non functional upgradation, but giving it to AF wil have adverse
effect on status & morale of other emplovees
6. NFU wiladversely affect comd, cont, discp & efficiency of AF.
7. NFU wil adversely affect morale, motivation & aspirations for higher promotions of
AF.
8. NFU wil result in addl financial burden on Govt,
