National Police Memorial

Excellent way to commemorate the sacrifice of cops who perished saving us. So very well built! Informative! I was in tears by the end of the tour. Salute to the martyrs!

The National Police Memorial is a profoundly moving place, evoking deep emotions and an enormous respect for our police forces. It's essential to visit such sites occasionally, to honor those who sacrificed their lives for our present and future. Sundays and Saturdays are ideal for a visit, as there are ceremonies. Additionally, the 21st of October marks Police Commemoration Day, celebrated with cultural programs.

Excellent place, very good program by ITBP on police day. Very good and cheap cafe run by CRPF.

A must visit place for every Indian to remember the supreme sacrifice made by the Police Force of all states and especially the CRPF, BSF, ITBP, SSB, CISF. Situated near the Police Station Chanakyapuri and Teen Murti. More than 36000 names of martyr soldiers engraved on the walls. A beautiful and pleasant atmosphere will make you feel proud of our Gumnaam Soldiers of Police Forces. War memorial is known to so many people but this memorial is standing silent and only a few people know this memorial.
There is an AC cafe being run by CRPF which serves Tea, Coffee, Snacks, key chain, T shirts etc at very reasonable prices. By these items to spread awareness among common people about these ignorable or lesser known martyrs. Jaihind

In a sombre ceremony held on October 21,2018, Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi paid homage to the valiant Policemen who laid down their lives while defending the integrity of our motherland by laying a wreath and remembering the brave Policemen who made the supreme sacrifice. He also dedicated the newly constructed National Police Memorial at Chanakyapuri, New Delhi to the nation.

The National Police Memorial (NPM) site is located at the crest of Shantipath in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi and the NPM campus has a tiered landscape having capacity to accommodate over 750 persons. It provides a panoramic view of the actual podium and ceremonial parade ground in front from various angles at the site. The newly constructed Wall of Valour at NPM on which names of the martyrs are inscribed, stands as a silent acknowledgement of the bravery and sacrifice of Police personnel, who have laid down their lives in the line of duty since Independence.

Very nicely designed Memorial for those police from all states of India and from the CAPFs and CPOs who laid down their lives in the direct line of duty protecting our people and the security and integrity of our country. More than 34,000 names of police officers and policemen who made the ultimate sacrifice are listed in the Wall of Valour here. Each year about 200 names get added. The Police Museum here which is underground is also worth seeing.

You should be highly grateful to them who sacrifice their life to save our lives. It's time to tribute them and salute them.

The memorial is quaint and well laid out. The museum is interesting with a great section about the history of Police in the subcontinent since ancient times. The souvenir shop is not that great and could be much better with a wider variety of memorabilia. But it is worth a visit.

Best place to learn and know about how our police work and how they have sacrificed their lives.

Best place to go in Delhi. Plan a weekend outing here enjoy best tea/snacks at reasonable rates and also witness Parade on Saturday and Sunday like never before.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the National Police Memorial in New Delhi, and it left an indelible mark on my heart and soul. This memorial stands as a solemn reminder of the selfless sacrifices made by our brave police officers who have dedicated their lives to upholding law and order in our country.

As I approached the entrance, I was greeted by a sense of reverence and respect. The serene surroundings and the beautifully landscaped gardens created a peaceful atmosphere, perfectly suited to paying tribute to the fallen heroes. The attention to detail in every aspect of the memorial was remarkable and truly commendable.

Walking through the memorial, I was deeply moved by the Wall of Valour, which bears the names of the police personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Each name represents a story of courage, bravery, and dedication. It was a humbling experience to witness the sheer number of lives laid down in service to our nation.

The central sculpture, depicting a police officer in action, exuded strength and determination. It captured the essence of the unwavering spirit that drives our police force to protect us day and night. The memorial's design truly encapsulates the gratitude we owe to these heroes.

The museum inside the memorial provided a wealth of information about the history and evolution of the police force in India. The exhibits were well-curated, presenting a comprehensive overview of the challenges faced by the police and their tireless efforts to maintain peace and security in our society. It was enlightening to learn about their training, equipment, and the various departments that work in tandem to keep our cities safe.

I highly recommend a visit to the National Police Memorial in New Delhi. It is not just a tourist attraction but a place of deep significance and remembrance. This place tells us about the sacrifice of police and their different roles in various organisations of our country. Evokes a sense of patriotism. It also has a nice cafe and souvenir shop. It is fully air conditioned and you can also spend time outside in a huge open area. All this in a peaceful area called shanti path. Must visit.

It's a good well maintained Museum dedicated to Indian Police force of different states, and Central Police forces. It also well explained Indian policing history since indus valley civilization and how it got developed. It also have name of policemen died while performing duties and some special operations. They have good clean AC cafe which serve some beverages and snacks at Avery reasonable prices. As a Indian one can visit to know about police history.

A very good museum-like place with a history of martyrdom of police officers from different states. But im not sure if all peoples are allowed here
