Amazingly maintained but please beware from pocket maar type person's, Police person's are greatly good, they all are always welcome you for everything.

So many platforms are there so be attentive and already know where to reach and from what platform your train will leave

Nice palace for travelling pount of view, whenever i visit their for travelling to another cites i always found station neat and clean, crow management is also good… over all good need some improvement in trains timing and waiting list.

Staff at parcel room are really very cooperative. I went there for my bike parcel. But beware from agent also.

Until the 1950s, the Old Delhi railway station was the main station in Delhi.

The 16 platforms cater to around 235 trains which start, end, or pass through the station daily.

It's Delhi's biggest railway station. You can ENTRY from 2 side. 1 is from Paharganj side. 2nd from Ajmeri gate side. Please check the platform no before going for train than easy to go. From Paharganj side plate 1 start. And from Ajmeri gate side plateform 16 start. If you have big langauge than please remind. If you are going for drop someone than please buy platform ticket. Otherwise you will be fine by. And please take care of your langauge.

Must remember when you by car first time in New delhi railway station then you received a car entry details before enter the station drop zone.only 8 min allowed if you stop aobe 8 min then u will pay on car exit point Rs. 30 to 200 according to your car stop time.

New Delhi Railway Station is one of the busy Railway Station of the capital city New Delhi

Good experience of railway parcels.very cheap way to bring your luggage from one place to another.

But you need-

1. Original reciept (the one you got while booking parcel) while collecting your luggage/ parcel.

2. The railways require an ID proof while booking your parcel, the same person can only collect parcel by submitting his ID at parcel office.

Note- Do not forget to check the late fees for non collection of your parcel.

For booking bikes, etc. Don't depend on brokers.employees are cooperative of railway.if you would make effort then sure succeed.

U can go there to book any parcel from Delhi and mostly this is open on all govt working days from 10 to 5

Good place but just left to the main entrance of the railway station. This is very near to the main gate, mean platform no 16 side. There is no any courier service from the pahadganj side. If someone want to go to courier any material. Please go to main gate of naw delhi entrance. And keep out, don't go in and just move ahead toward the central Park and take right. Then there is 75 rupee entry fee of your vehicle. So please. Nobody go to pahadganj side to send the courier. Thanku

Great Modification work to ease pedestrians crossing the platforms. New sky walk to cross over to Delhi Metro. Parking lots have been well organised for hassle free experience. The station is well equipped with lifts escalators and battery operated vehicles for elderly and differently abled. FIVE STARS.

Overall everything is good. To sum up one thing is lagging please provide gaye name and number on boards to be more specific

Very unorganised and full of touts even though the entrance has a board that says "beware of touts"

There is no queuing system here.

The only thing is beware of touts (dalal /frequently asking that will help in booking) and stay away from them. Why pay them when the railway staffs are cooperative enough.

Had to go there to get my dogs ticket done so I can take him with me on rajdhani.

With even the officials not providing genuine information and always looking for some EXTRA money so you can get your ticket first.

My experience was wrost here, non of gov. Staff were responding, I had to return back without any useful queries, you will have great amount of patience if you wanna talk to them, and yes one of gov. Staff, my god he is an officer here and he abuses every now and then. Please check if any higher authority is reading this

The space is too small and people hardly helpful. The government employees give suggestion with such force that sometimes it insults you.

Agents are taking double the charge. We can't even go directly and approach govt officials. Need change. Bribe, commission everywhere.

Pathetic condition. No government employee will tell anything if you ask around. There are touts everywhere. They will keep looting you. Goods are handled in a very bad way. They charge much more than online value shown.

I had to book one washing machine, the process took 3 hours and it could not go on the train I expected due to long delay.

After visiting here, I felt railway should be privatised. Very inefficient process, touts to loot new people, nobody will tell correct information. Even while making payment government employees are asking for debit card pin and not letting one enter pin on own

Overload, broker every where.thugs are there, be careful if you wish to book any parcel. Don't trust anyone.

People here don't treat you in a good manner, dallali is everywhere, it took me more than 4 hours to receive my luggage. They were just asking us to move to platform and take luggage on our own so that they get comission from the vendors.
The people in the gate pass clearance to every bench will ignore you if you ask for the delivered parcel at their office. They will make an excuse that no labours are available.
Totally waste to send / receive an item through railway. Don't do it.

Pack your goods properly with bora or lamination foil else you will be in mess of railway parcel packaging & booking brokers.
Take necessary railway supporting forms (Annaxture) & Aadhar Copy along with you.

Pathetic place if you going here for first time. Full of touts who just want to squeeze you for money. If you going to collect bike or parcels you just need to go to receiving bay pay for the time you left the parcel in waiting bay and move out without looking here and there.

Sent my motorcycle from New Delhi to Ernakulam.
Cost of parcel railway charge was 3250 which is fine.
As soon as I entered the parcel gate.i was surrounded by these labourers who pack the vehicles.
As any Indian would do. I appealed to their good nature. (the cunning weasels they are) to not to overcharge their fee.
They charged me 2900 (originally charged 3000.and told.chalo sir apkeliye 100 rupaye.km kr dete he.)
I had to give them as im leavingy bike with them.they had this to say "are Sir sabse important hota he loading nhi to wagon ke andr kahin pe bhi dal deta) as if the mongrels were goin to hold it till the destination.
Since these things are not regulated such robberies go unnoticed by authorities.unless they're also in on it.
Anyways it sucked.thats my review.

Lot of agent covered for parcel. They are taking huge amount of money to do parcel.other than that Platform structure is very good.

If one finds packing too much of a hassle one could carry the parcel to the nearest railway station.  
Parcel Office is located on Ajmeri Gate NDLS/NDLS/New Delhi (16 PFs) - Railway Enquiry.
If you are thinking of sending you bike via train than you have reached the right place coz first timers could face a lot of problem at New Delhi Station (Complete Chaos at the parcel Office) & frequent run offs from platform 1 & platform 16 will completely exhaust you.

Here is how you can sending your items without facing much of a problem.
Documents Required
1-Copy of ID proof (PAN CARD, DRIVING LICENSE, PASSPORT Xerox Copy)
2-Copy of RC (ID proof & RC should be in same name)
3-Reservation Ticket Required (No e-ticket, Counter ticket required, sleeper or above). They will not accept your documents until you have a reservation ticket.

4-Pack the bike yourself or any help at station (charges Rs-200/). Lot of guys will come and ask you for packing the bike. (Remove petrol first)
5-Fill the requisition form from Counter No-07.6-Take the bike to the shed (where all the packed bikes are stationed) and get it signed by the shed incharge on the filled form, Leave the bike in the shed.
7-Submit the documents with filled form at the counter.
8-They give you two slips blue and red, (charges would be around Rs-1100/- for a bike)
9-Goto the shed again get ur bike marked up with a marker by the shed incharge and hand him the blue slip that you received from the counter. Blue slip will be tied around the bike handle (He will ask Rs-50 tip).
10-Keep the Red slip, it has to be shown at the destination station to get the bike.
11-Job Done

Instructions if you are in New Delhi
1- Parcel Office is located on Ajmeri Gate side- Platform-16, Right End of the platform. Don't do the mistake of parking the bike at Paharganj Side.
2-But if you don't have the Reservation ticket, you will have to buy one from Paharganj Side (e-tickets are not considered valid).
2-Outside of the Railway Station Paharganj side, move towards Cannaught Place half kilometers. There is a separate IRCTC reservation building on the left hand side of the road.

Beware of pick pocketers and ready to walk long distance to approach your plateform. Listen announcement carefully, platform of train arrival mentioned on digital ticket might change.
Food stalls every where.

Place is located into a cornor full of mess but the people who work there are really sweet due to which the place is worth it

No one is picking up the call. They are so useless. What's the sense of doing a job if u aren't even working.

Receive parcel within time, good people! You can get the truck booked there for a competitive price.

Most hopeless place in this railway station. It's a highly unorganized and mismanaged parcel office with rampant corruption done by the officers themselves through their relatives or known persons. Starting from entry of material to booking of goods and then loading of goods as per published procedure, every service is given only upon payment of bribes on top of the regular fees charged on paper. The booking staff and loaders first scare the passengers by telling many things not written anywhere on rules and then they introduce to the agents who will get the goods loaded the same day if one assigns the contract to him. One such agent Bablu duped me by charging double the sum written on railway receipt. He promised that the goods will be loaded on the same day, in the same train in which my person is travelling but the goods didn't reach the destination even after 5 days of my guy reaching the destination. Railways is inherently corrupt organization and must be privatised immediately

Beware of middle man.
They will harass you by telling heavy logistics cost.
Worst place ever visited.

It is located New Delhi railway station Ajmeri gate are you can find out parcel entry, if you were visiting from Metro please exit from Ajmeri gate side ask any metro person the gate number how to exit, you will get editable confused where to go for the parcel office ask anybody nearby for any food stall near by person they will help to locate the parcel office as easy e even c a ginger restaurant nearby Parcel Office

Very bad experience please no one send their courier om this way i have this services bad staff is main problem staff behave very rudely and parcel 3-4 days bd he milta hai yha always late.

I bokked my bike from pryagraj where my by asking me they romove whole petrol from my bike and they did not give me that petrol and when i was riched at parsal centre new delhi to recive my bike they were saying give me 100 rs if yiu want 100 mL of petrol and their behavior is very rude i really hate this place due to their wrost employees

Dirty place, agents are everywhere. Railway employees are slow and not so cooperative, they usually redirects you towards agents

Very nice# well cleaned# larger platform than other but Indian Railway doesn't feel about passenger services. Forever nice Railway station at New Delhi, India.

Poor service, lots of agents and filthy, very rude staff and out dated procedures. They do not call to inform of parcel arrival nor do they pick up calls typical of Indian Railways parcel service apathy nationally

Most disgusting place I have ever visited. Full of touts and no government is taking any action against them. These touts charge you according to your work. If you are a student they will charge less but if you are in job, they will charge very high. So always be careful and don't ever trust there words. They always change from what they have said. Pathetic place and pathetic service. Very bad. And also the employees are such usless, server problem is very common there. Once I have to wait for nearly 15 hours to get my parcel done. But still it didn't happen.

Beware of parcel agent as they charge you 3 to 4 times extra than actual charged, best way is to pack your stuff at home and directly go there and then hire local labour for transport. Please pack your stuff in best possible packing as they handle it very roughly and keep it under shed in open area, better to avoid sending delicate goods by this service. You can also do insurance of your stuff.

It's the very busiest railway station in India. It's has run trains more than 100 routes daily. Shatabadi, Rajdhani is also start daily from New Delhi railway station to all major States of India

Don't trust any brokers. If u have any doubt or clarrification check with parcel counters. I transit my bullet from Chennai to Delhi then Delhi to Chennai. 1 way cost 3500 only for booking. Broker ll ask 1000 rs for making the parcel. It is not necessary to depend on them. Minimum level of packing is enough you can do it your own &make sure the petrol tank empty.
