I really don't know how people rate this restaurant as bad. I feel it should be a fake review or person never even visited this restaurant. I'm writing this review @ 10: 00 PM enjoying crispy dosa with amazing side dish and sambar. I've ordered idly waiter advised me very politely as it's getting ready and I may have to wait for 5-7 mins which was quite acceptable.
Eat there on our second day in Delhi in the month of October 2023. It was a very nice place to eat for foreigners. The service was good and food tasty as well. I enjoyed eating dosa
We went there for dinner, it was very crowded, we had to wait for sometime, many things in the menu were not available. Place is moderately expensive. You can try there if you want southindian foods like idli, dosa, uttappam etc.
P. Rajagopal opened a tiny grocery shop on the outskirts of the city. [4] In 1992, Rajagopal on his visits to Singapore observed the functioning of the multinational fast food joints like McDonald's and used them as a model. [5]
By the 1990s, the Saravana Bhavan chain spread throughout neighbourhoods in Chennai. In 2000, Saravana Bhavan opened its first branch outside India, in Dubai, with a large number of Indian expatriates. It eventually expanded to several major cities including Paris, Frankfurt, London, New York City, Dallas, Toronto, Stockholm, Doha, and Auckland. While the restaurants have gained popularity among non-Indians, they mostly target the South Asian expatriate population. They are sometimes referred to as "canteen-like joints strictly aimed at Indian expatriates missing a taste of home". [6] It is considered to be a high volume, low margin venture which is labour-intensive. Saravana Bhavan sends workers from India and America to work in their foreign branches. [7] The overseas outlets are run by franchisees. [8]
This famous South Indian restaurant chain currently serves in many countries worldwide, that are: India, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Oman, Canada, France, Belgium, Germany, Singapore, Bahrain, UAE, United Kingdom, USA, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Qatar, Hong Kong, Thailand, Netherlands, and Sweden.
Saravana Bhavan in United Kingdom has restaurants in East Ham (Greater London), Harrow (Greater London), Ilford (East London), Leicester Square (West End of London), Southall (West London) and Tooting (South London). The branches of the biggest South Indian restaurant chain in the United Kingdom are mostly known to be situated in London
There's nothing better than experiencing authentic southindian flavor along with that south indian vibe and exploring Karol Bagh market. It will feel like you're in a retro restaurant when it's busy on the weekends. While in Gaffar, I repaired my PS4 controller and ate rawa masala dosa. The meal was enjoyable for me.
Food was tasty, Tamil Nadu flavour (slight different from Kannadiga Sambar flavour). This is a better and healthy option at 7 am. Although If given option with other known South Indian food brands like UpSouth, then we could have gone with it. We ordered 1 Idli 1 vada plate=₹40 each (very costly) Masala dosa= ₹80 Upma= ₹70
One of the best place for authentic Chennai food. Loved their meals. The Vada idly is fabulous. The samber is fantastic. Also their sweet dish has a refreshing aroma.
In Karol Bagh finally I got the best south indian family pure veg restaurant. You'll not regret spending money here, delicious south Indian food, well behaved staff. The restaurant is neat and clean. Individual I spoke with the cook who working in nellai annapoorna they already worked in best hotels in tamilnadu and south india, so the quality will maintain by them.what else do you need? Filter coffee is must try, I'd say everything is must try! I found the place hygienic, service is good, food was best and served hot
This joint is located parallel to the heart of karol bagh, and rightfully so, because although the food here is good and reminds me of home, it is pretty pricey for the quantity they serve you.still an amazing place with a cozy ambience and the music played here will take you back to AP.
Took monthly subscription here. Less quantity. But best quality food. Eat Upma, Idli, paneer dosa, sambhar rice, thali, I personally find these items best in here. You can try their sweets placed at counter too.

Yeah it's great, service is phenomenal and price (cmg from south it's too costly, but to localities it's normal) and the taste is excellent and quality is also good. I prefer to those who want to visit once r Button idly with butter and sambhar Mysore butter masala dosa
The staff are friendly and there is a nice atmosphere to the restaurant, the tea was excellent. It is on the small side but those are often the best places to eat.
This is one of my favorite hotel and serve Good quality tasty south flavor food at Hotel OM SARAVANAN Karol bagh, New Delhi. Enjoy every one who visits NewDelhi.
The palce is so good to eat. A peaceful place in Karolbagh. Price of the food items are manageable and food quality is also very good. As a person from south of India I like that place.
Nice tasty stuff you get here. A bit costly but worth the money. Especially meals are really nice with lots of good dishes. Service is nice. Situated near Karolbagh metro and very reachable.
This place is situated on Saraswati road behind Karol Bagh street market.
This place is a treat for someone who likes south Indian food.
We had our breakfast here comprising Medu wada, idli, masala dosa and filtered coffee.
While the food is excellent, quality of service can be improved. I do empathize with number of customers visit this place in morning however that can be compensated by increasing number of people serving customers.
Best restaurant of the world. I used to visit it during 2012-14 when I lived in karol bagh.food craving of this restaurant brought me into this from karnal, haryana.the food is fresh, satvik n the staff is very attentive.thanku Om Saravana bhawan for relishing my soul with your food.best wishes
The place lacks proper service the food was okay but when it comes to neatness they doing have just have it. I don't know what the officials are doing I think they are supposed to keep visiting these places
Tasty food, typical south Indian taste. We loved it. Quick and prompt service. But ambience is not that great. Parking is a challenge too. They accept cash. Card facility was not working. The rating is purely for taste and quality of food.
Have been eating at this place for the past 20 years. They bless the food properly before serving it to the customers and the kitchen is open to view and very hygienic. The staff is good, and a server called, Ramaswami, is especially awesome. He smiles all the time and is happy to serve. This is a place where you get charged food, at a reasonable price and service with a smile. What more could you ask for from a place in Karol Bagh.
Have been two consecutive nights and loved our Thalis! Fresh and fragrant and served quickly. The waiter was kind enough to help my dad by instructing him on how to eat a Thali, very funny and kind. Best of all this place is filled with locals and great value for money. A true taste of south India!
To get Typical south indian food in North India is a great feeling. Food was nice with similar taste of South Indian meal. Reasonable price and neat and clean ambience.
