Brife: Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi, is the Delhi branch of Ramakrishna Mission, a spiritual organisation established by Swami Vivekananda in 1897. The Delhi branch was established at Ramakrishna Ashram Marg on 4 May 1927.
History: The Delhi mission has its origins in the Ramakrishna Math, which was opened in a rented house on 966 Garstin Baston Road in 1927. The construction work on the present premises started in 1934 after the first foundation brick was brought in from Belur Math to Delhi, and consecrated by Swami Shivananda, a direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna and the second President of the Ramakrishna Math and the Ramakrishna Mission. Thereafter, the Delhi Center was formally opened in 1935. Swami Ranganathananda, who later became the 13th president of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission and was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, served as the secretary at the Delhi Mission from 1949 to 1962. Swamis Sharvananda, Satprakashananda, Swahananda, Budhananda, Vandanananda, and Gokulananda were also associated with the Delhi Mission. History Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya was founded by Sri Avinashilingan chettiyar 1930 with an investment of Rs. 5.75 and with one Harijan boy on its roll. While studying in college, Sri pani awoke in him the vision for his future mission in the field of education.
Transport: The mission is accessible by the Ramakrishna Ashram Marg metro station of Delhi Metro.

It is a Great place devoted to Shri Ram Krishna Mission and Swami Vivekananda. There is book stall, prayer hall, library and one 3D Show. 3 D show on Swami Vivekananda only opens on Saturday and Sunday.

On 1st of April 2022 they selected 25 candidates 10 boys and 15 girls and the last date for submit there documents is
05th of December 2022, seriously? If you guys give them whole pending year to submit there documents where the other students will go? , they are also in the waiting list including me and you gave the whole pending year to selected students for submitting their documents? This is unfair for the candidates who are waiting for their numbers to get the membership of library.

If you want to read books about vedanta, philosophy, books about swami ramakrishna and his disciples like vivekananda. Then you must visit here. You'll find a nice variety.

Oh My God! Who are you, really? ! I have had the good fortune of personally knowing His Holiness  Swami Shantatmanandaji Maharaj for a very long time and cannot begin to describe what a wonderful man he is. Your crass words are SO disrespectful and uncultured. And you think yourself in a position to speak about a person who has consecrated his life to serve people. A person who has given 50 years of his life in service of people. Do you even realize in what position of reverence we hold a Sadhu in India? I find your words soo insulting and hurtful and have studied your other reviews about other dignified persons and institutions of India. If you consider India, its culture, its people so bad why are you here? I find your actions so so so dubious and when I meet Jaishankar Maharaj (as we lovingly call Swami ShantatmanandaJi Maharaj) next time I will definitely suggest that he call the external affairs minister Sri Jaishankar, and request that the ministry trace your IP and find out who you are and why you are soo hateful and stop you from insulting our country, its people and its institutions. Freedom of speech is one thing and insulting and causing hurt to others is another. If you write another bad word about another holy person of my country I will myself file an FIR against you.

Pointless institution.tried seeking admission here for computer training, however even the secretary Mr Shantatmanda refused. Why? He is unreasonably suspicious that why would people from abroad want to study or learn something in India. He ridiculed & teased us why we have not learnt PC skills until now. He demanded excessive/irrelevant info including verifying our history & reporting this to the Ministry of Foreign/Ext Affairs.

He attempted transforming our application into a skewed business transaction. Surprisingly, he was ignorant about valid ID proof as well. Instead of following Swami Vivekananda's teachings, the whole mission is plagued with doubts. We were unnecessarily probed & interrogated re our background.

This organisation is blind & commercialised. They fail to offer teaching to eligible, dignified & deserving students - they lack any insight. We have been scrutinised & discriminated due to our appearance, socio-economic status, origin & beliefs.

He was adamant to dissect us apart! This centre carries such an incorrect legacy - disguising corrupt practices as teaching. We were misinformed at each step & their inconsistent behaviour questions the integrity & purpose of education.

Mr Shantatamanda finally discourteously ignored us & admitted that he has not yet spiritually evolved.what a shame on spiritual mankind. We were insulted humiliated – this does not befit a 'saint' & casts disrepute over such a vocation. He acted unprofessionally & appears delusional. He needs to be educated with inner vision & enlightenment. Considering all the aforementioned corruption, we left.

Ramakrishna Mission  (RKM) is a Hindu religious and spiritual organisation which forms the core of a worldwide spiritual movement known as the Ramakrishna Movement or the Vedanta Movement. The mission is named after and inspired by the Indian saint Ramakrishna Paramahamsaand founded by Ramakrishna's chief disciple Swami Vivekananda on 1 May 1897. The organization mainly propagates the Hindu philosophy of Vedanta–Advaita Vedanta and four yogic ideals–jnana,  bhakti,  karma, and Raja Yoga.

Seems to be a very nice place. Have visited the library there. This place belongs to the society of Ramkishan Mission. Ideology of Vivekananda is being spreading from here. Activities of this society are #Library #Computercentre #ValueEducation, Book sale counter, #DispenseryHomeopathic, Swami Vivekananda Execution, Free Coaching Centre etc.

There's a huge difference between the world inside the mission and outside it. Outside the mission boundary it is all chaotic, full of rush and running around however once you get inside the boundary into the RamKriahna Mission it is a complete different world altogether such an amazing atmosphere, so much peace and tranquility. Your heart will feel a serene bliss and your soul will be liberated. Visit the place sometime you will get to know what I am talking about. Peace!

The first impression of RKM, Delhi in my case goes back to 1961. On a biting cold foggy day, my mother and my three brothers were relieved to get inside for some warmth. That day cemented my connection with RKMs all over India. Well maintained, peaceful place and well connected with metro & roads. Exhibition and 3D shows going on only Sat & Sun days.
