साहित्य अकादमी भारतीय साहित्य के विकास के लिये सक्रिय रूप से कार्य करने वाली एक राष्ट्रीय संस्था है। अकादमी प्रत्येक वर्ष अपने द्वारा मान्यता प्रदत्त 24 भाषाओं (22 + 2) में साहित्यिक कृतियों के लिए पुरस्कार प्रदान करती है, साथ ही इन्हीं भाषाओं में परस्पर साहित्यिक अनुवाद के लिए भी पुरस्कार प्रदान किए जाते हैं।
यह अकादमी दिल्ली के 'मंडी हाउस मेट्रो स्टेशन' से लगभग दो सौ मीटर की दूरी पर स्थित है। अकादमी पूरी तरह से स्वच्छ वातावरण में अंगड़ाई लेती है। स्टाफ के व्यवहार प्रशंसनीय है।
साहित्य अकादमी द्वारा आयोजित 'अखिल भारतीय दलित लेखक सम्मेलन- 2023' में मैं अपने शिक्षक प्रो. बजरंगबिहारी तिवारी (प्रख्यात हिंदी आलोचक) के साथ यहाँ पहुँचा। प्रबंधन बहुत अच्छी की गई है। बैठक-ब्रेक के बाद सबको भोजन ग्रहण करने की आग्रह की गई। यह दिन मेरे जीवन की सबसे प्रमुख दिनों में से एक रहेगा।
यहाँ के पुस्तकालय में विभिन्न भाषाओं में 2 लाख से भी ज्यादा पुस्तकें हैं। एक रिपोर्ट की माने तो यहाँ हर 18-19 घन्टे में एक नई प्रकार की पुस्तकें आती हैं।
यदि आप पाठक के रूप में यहाँ अध्ययन करने जाना चाहते हैं तो उसके लिए आपको मेम्बरशिप लेनी होंगी।

Great place. Greatest liberary at delhi. BUT this is not open to general public. You have to be a literature student or an author

Great place for lovers of art. Here one can find art gallery which keeps show casing the art from various new as well as experienced artists from around the country. It is pleasant to be in the environment which is beautiful physically and mentally.

The library is really excellent. As a Research Scholar I was very excited to go there. I think every Research Scholar should visit the library, it's really very attractive study place for scholars. It can provide a lot of materials on different topics.

All the academies are in the same campus building at good location accessible by metro and buses.

It is inside Sangeet Natak akademi and Lalit Kala academy. You can enter from both side

Sahitya Akademi is near from Mandi House Metro Station, Just a walking distance. Very beautiful Office infrastructure is very good.

Its the best place for book lovers. Ambience is serene. The library has a huge collection of books in 24 languages.

It is a very calm and soothing place to read book, here the parking facility as well as lift facility is available.

Sahitya Academy Library is fantastic. Its undoubtedly the best public library in Delhi. Staff is extremely courteous and helful, and books can always be located at designated shelves.
Its been my biggest go to place during my PhD research.

Sahitya Akademi is one of the best publisher in our country specially when you are searching for some good hindi stuffs, apart from this you can read or buy books on Ghalib and Mahatma Gandi both under the same roof. Must visit if you are a book lovers specially if you want to know about Hindi writers and society.
