A very reasonable canteen in the heart of Delhi. Not many people are aware of the place. Mostly people who frequent here are artists who either are attending courses in mandi house or are visiting to watch concerts and theatre.
The food here is just about average. The menu is only Chinese and sandwiches. Coffee is excellent. We always visit this place for a coffee whenever we visit mandi house for any reason.
We had steamed momos, fried momos, spring rolls, chilli potatoes, veg fried rice, Manchurian, egg fried rice. All items were just about average.
The ambiance of the place is good and the crowd is good.
Nice theatre experience. Having watched plays at prithvi theatre, none delhi theatre gave me that much joy. Sri Ram Centre i would say is the best in Delhi from the options available.
It an iconic place for theatre and art lovers. You may visit for interesting plays and theatre pieces. Also the cheese toast served in the canteen is simple yet great:)
Cultural hub of national capital. One can visit this area for dance, music and drama shows. Many theatre performances take place everyday, sometimes weekly. It also imparts training in theatre and allied courses. One can experience the stage performances by the students of the Centre
Canteen: Food is decent and very pocket friendly for the quantity. Service is fast and friendly. Mostly it's Chinese options. Has an indoor section and an open to sky section.
Shri Ram Centre for Art and Culture is a nice place for art lovers.
Location: Mandi House
Nearest Metro: Mandi House Metro (Majenta Line and Blue Line)
At Shri Ram Centre you can enjoy different variety of stage shows. It's a hangout place for art lovers, students, couples.
There is a cafe located on backside lawn of Shri Ram Centre. I must say it's an affordable cafe. We ordered chicken spring rolls at Rs. 110, Coffee- Rs. 30, Niboo Pani at Rs. 30 per glass and everything was good and other food items were looking yummy n tasty too.
It's a place for everyone to have some fun time and discussion or get-together. Cafe has indoor as well as outdoor sitting area.
Recommand people to go there for people who are looking for tasty and economical eating joint near mandi house.
It was wonderful experience for family, watching live theatre, specially for my teen daughter who is developing taste in new hobbies and interests. Children met renowned personalities of theatre.
Amazing experience being at the theatre after such a long time. Enjoyed all three plays staged today in the evening.
One-of-a-kind experience of being in the vicinity of an ace class of actors and grounded performers.
I had a strong Deja Vu feeling. It brought me pretty much close to my love of the live theatre.
I once again feel connected to it and the positive vibes out there. Enjoyed the plays of Ghalib and Premchand the most.
I would take out time from my schedule to invest in the live theatre. Every second invested there feels well justified and well paid off. Would look forward to visiting there more frequently and admiring the true art and ace performances. It feels so refreshing and rejuvenating and charged up to face the world with more intensity, more focus, and more energy. Well done
This a rating regarding the canteen over there only. The food is pretty affordable and fine, never order Manchurian it has wayyyyy tooo much salt and no you cannot ask them for less of it, it'll still have alot of it. Momos and noodles would be a decent choice, even chilli potatos are nice, the outside sitting area is lovely (very simple) in my opinion. Good place a have a quick lunch or yk anything casual.
What more can I only say that has not been said in praise of the legendary auditorium that has given the Nation outstanding performers and artists. It's not a place, it's a feeling.
Not very healthy options available but the food is served at economical prices. Chicken momos here are a must try. Though the place was famous for chilli potato once, their quality has decreased.
Got a chance to visit SRC canteen.amazing chinese food. Recommend you to eat outside as location is good and eat springroll, fried rice, manchurian and noodles ️
Delhi's best theater and it gave us very talented artist and now in bollywood. If you love watching natak I will recommend to go there. If flees hungry don't worry go to the canteen back side of this auditorium.
Feeling HUNGRY and BROKE at the same time? Don't worry, SRC Canteen is all you need in life. The best place to hangout with a "busy but peaceful" ambience around.
SRC Csnteen's bowl of Chicken Chopsey brings a blast of flavours and lovely texture in your mouth. Juicy chicken and the Crispy crunch makes up for a cheap yet delicious lunch.
Our recommendation of dishes to try at SRC canteen (ranking according to the taste, quantity and price)
1. CHICKEN MOMOS (FRIED as well as STEAMED) 2. CHICKEN NOODLES 3. CHICKEN CHOPSEY 4. CHILLI CHICKEN 5. CHILLI POTATOES 6. SPRING ROLLS
For beverages, the neembu pani and coffee is a must try!
It is very near to mandi house metri station, just 400m. Nice, quite and clean place. Watching play in this theatre is really a memorable experience. Not much eating options or cafe though.
Best of plays and theater in Delhi. It is in Mandi house Connectivity is good.metro station is at walking distance. There is Parking space but less so plan accordingly. Tickets of plays are generally available at bookmyshow #Bookmyshow
There's a cafe/canteen at shri ram center which has good sitting area both inside and outside. Food is good, I have tried chilli potato, noodles, fried rice, Manchurian and momos. I really liked the lemonade though. Good place for some casual talks or meeting with someone.
Totally in love with this place! Very few places are left in India which respect art this is one of them, vibes are totally different here you'll feel some energy in the environment! One should definitely watch some plays here! Highly recommended
One of the best places in Delhi for a composite performing arts experience. There is an institute that teaches acting, conducts regular workshops and hosts theatre performances. The canteen in there serves budget food. I didn't like the chowmein much but the cheese toast was excellent.

One of the important cultural centres of Delhi which focuses on theatre. It is located in Mandi House which is a hub of theatre and cultural activities in Delhi. Centrepiece of this place is a theatre which is quite popular with local theatre groups for performances. There is a small cafe which has been a popular meeting place for theatre aspirants and artists for decades. There also used to be a small book shop which was very popular with the visitors. However now the shop has been shifted out. The centre also runs course in theatre practice. Together with the facilities inside and some tea shops outside, Sri Ram Centre is the nerve centre of Mandi House.
Ample parking space available. 2 mins walk from Mandi house metro. Place for theatre artists. Acting classes also provided. Place is clean and washroom maintained properly.
It is modernistice style building and a must watch by designers, architects and students. The first glance make you think, it is Lecorbusier designed building. But, it was designed by Ar. Shiv Nath.
This place is located near mandi house metro station, one has to exit from gate no. 1 of the metro station to reach this place.it is near metro and the organizers are very professional. Often plays and theatre shows are conducted over here. It is a good place for those who want to experience art and learn a thing or two about theatre.
