This restaurant is good and serve in affordable price. Taste is perfect, this shop is available between west patel nagar market and khanna market, in west patel nagar. You will see Minimum 20-25 seats in one time, all time you will get crowded over here. Not only South Indian you can get Chinese platter as well. In south indian they serve sambhar dhosa, idli dhosa, Utpam, Plain dhosa, Masala dhosa, Rava dhosa, Upama, etc…. Enjoy food here. The owner is also South Indian.
Dosa is better if your dining in there than ordering it home. The taste is nice, not very authentic south indian flavour but more of delhi like. Even they have chowmein in the menu which is not bad. Overall, extreemly pocket friendly, open till late. Always busy but getting a seat has never been a problem.
Edited my rating after 2 years, as it's very unhygienic now and taste also has degraded. Everytime I have eaten from here I fall sick. Last time (yesterday only) the guy serving there did not wash his hands after cleaning the tables and served dosa and vada by those hands only. I have a throat infection now since then. This was my last chance to this restaurant after found strand of hair in sambar before that. This time I specifically searched for this restaurant to make everyone aware.
Uttapam was very nice. I ordered an onion tomato uttapam which was complimented with sambhar and white chutney made of coconut or peanut i think. The taste was very good. Sambhar could be a little better. Served in a very traditional style like banana leaves above the thali then dosa and uttam over it. Restaurant ambience could have been a lot better.
Good south Indian tiffins available in patel nagar. Nice behaviour of the staff. Prices were also reasonable. Don't miss the onion uthappam and Vada here.
The place is reasonably priced, it has got an extensive menu as well besides the service being fast. However as a South Indian this place will disappoint you for sure, although it is being run by a South Indian, the taste here is no where close to being authentic. The masala dosa here was average, but the sambar was unbearable. Don't ever order Chinese at this place, it's easily the worse I've eaten ever. Had to throw it completely away. Unless you are desperate to eat south indian, this place is best avoided. Thanks This is the correct address of the place Main Market C101, Block C, West Patel Nagar, Patel Nagar, New Delhi, Delhi 110008
Average joint, can try their Idlis served along with Sambar, Coconut and tomato chutney. Coconut chutney is good. Dosas and aalu sabji in it are avg. You can ask for extra chutney and sambar
Authentic sambar first of all. Nice tasty South Indian fare. If one is looking for the right South Indian taste in and around West Patel Nagar visit this restaurant
The only USP is it the only dedicated South Indian restaurant in the area. Their Dosas, Idlis and vadas are not exemplary but quite ordinary. The sambhar crashes all your hopes.
I been having south indian food from this place since my childhood infact my mother and grandmother also been eating south indian food from this place since a long time. The taste never changes and the price is really really affordable.
Average south Indian food. But best in south West Patel Nagar market. Near by many other restaurants are available. Must try Onion Uttapam. Chinese itezms are also their. Washroom not available. No parking space. Small restaurant with max 20 people. Overall average.
Average food. I have been there on my friends birthday party. We ordered a Manchurian but that was really very bad in taste. I think the place is mainly for the South Indian Food as the name suggests itself. I never tried the south indian stufd but whatever I had tried. I was either disappointed or found it average.
Quality is very poor. Hairs in dossa and plastic threads nariyal chutney is very common. I tried to complain with FSSAI over its quality control. I complain there also, they brought new thali and new dossa but got the same result. So please be careful for these things. Dossa maker don't wear on head to stop hairs falling into food.
Dosa n sambhar was average. Idlis weren't as fresh n fluffy as it should be. Prices are reasonable for residents but for regular persons (ie.for students) its on higher side.
Good place, reasonable situated in main market but surrounded by crowed so not possible to park two wheeler also and credit card payment and paytm not supported, free delivery available and tasty food, south Indian dish available, place for family sitting is available but avoid to go on vehicle
This place was noticed randomly on Zomato & thought to order it.
Ordered only two different dishes as it was first time. One was Masala Dosa Combo: Vada was not crispy, Idli was usual, Masala Dosa was good. Another was Chinese Masala Dosa: This was a complete disappointment as had no taste, no flavours, only good was the chowmein filling as it was more than any other filling. Sambhar: Average
Positives: 1) On time delivery 2) Enough for two people as the quantity served was sufficient 3) Pocket friendly
Negatives: 1) Packing was poor as Sambhar, Chutney & both Idli & Vada were packed in polythins & both the dosa's were wrapped in foil.
If you are in no mood to spend high than this place is fine for south indian food.
