In Delhi I lived next to the ashram and was well aware of it's beauty and sanctity. However, this time I had the good fortune of staying in it's pristine environment. The ashram is unimaginably beautiful and the words that come to mind are purity, cleanliness and serenity. Birds, especially peacocks call out through out the day. The beauty of early sunrise accompanied with the symphony of bird calls needs to be experienced to appreciate. The inmates are eager to help and play a big part in maintaining the stature of the ashram. A place I would like to stay without a second thought.
This place is one of the best places I have ever visited. There is a special vibe and environment present here. The food, the place, the yoga and of course the people here are out of this world. Also I liked the system of fooding here. You have to take the food by your own and the dining area of this ashram is heaven. After you have the food, take your plate and wash by your own. There is no discrimination at this place you may be billioner or a simple man, all are same and this is the best thing about here,
Unbelievable.the calm and quiet here in the centre of Delhi. A very tranquil place. The meditation room is simply awesome. Visitors can have food.very delicious and saatvik food, at nominal rates. You need to pick up your plate, mug and spoon from the rack. Food would be served. After having the food you need to wash the utensils, wipe it with the cloth provided, and place them back in the rack.
All road riders was unhealthy Drive signals not important for Delhi riders left side never free at signals due to wrong driven non sense and senseless Delhi people on the road
A place ideal for the seekers of tranquility who love to live far from the madding crowd in the lap of nature in the heart of Delhi. A place of self discovery.
They teach us Displine and they learn how to teach with people's in our society. In Aurobindo Ashram Delhi there are more vocational training for youth in different Department and the ambience is génial. I like it
Tranquil place. Lunch was decent for a nominal price. I would be careful when selecting the plate as the plate and utensils are cleaned by previous person who ate and they probably would not have done a good job. There has to be better way to sanitize the utensils before new patron eats
Quiet place with garden, meditation hall and a common mess (you have to wash your utensils, there is a variety of plants on display in the middle with name tags and spiritual qualities). Dinner is served at around 8pm for only half hour. Clean rooms with reasonable rates, simple beds, fan, cupboard, blankets on request, hot water in taps and a common electric kettle on the ground floor for tea etc at odd hours. Many Ashram residents maintain silence.
A peaceful place in the heart of town. Regularly conducts a lot of residential programs on Yoga and Indian Culture.
The canteen offers healthy food at very reasonable prices. Food is available strictly during the prescribed timings only. So just check on the timings before you visit, if you are planning to have Lunch or Dinner there.
One of the very few places where you find peace and tranquility. The meditation hall is very peaceful where you can meditate as long as you can. The Sabda store is a must visit where you get very good incense sticks and many other gift items.
Serene peaceful environment.meditation hall is huge, absolutely wonderful.the Aurobindo store Sabda with natural food products, incense, books and others is really very good.
Very good place, such place you can't find in Delhi. Very peaceful and morning and evening prayer help to calm down and in connecting ourselves to God.
Beautiful and Peaceful place Place to get in touch with Divine Beautiful meditation hall. Has Sri Aurobindo relic in the Shrine Wonderful library SABDA: the store here, has books by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, many yoga books, organic products, perfume and incense. Wonderful paintings and souvenirs. Good classes on weekends about Integral yoga For practice of Integral Yoga, you can stay here.
Sri Aurobindo Ashram Delhi branch is located opposite NCERT. It has Sri Aurobindo's relics and a wonderful meditation hall. You can go there for prayer and meditation. Sabda is the book store which is located in the Tapasya building, you can find collected works of The Mother and Sri Aurobindo and other publications of the Ashram. The store also sales many products of the Ashram i.e very high quality insence sticks which you don't get any other places.
Very nice setup and very motivational ambience. Not only they keep conducting various workshops but also they sell religious books and materials which I say are very much appreciated. Plus they run a clinic too. Though I assume best and HQ is in Pondicherry, nonetheless Delhi branch is also beautiful. All the best to Ashram.
Sri Aurobindo Ashram is one of the oldest running Ashrams in Delhi. It runs the best school of Delhi from pre-primary to higher secondary school.it also runs alternative school also, which is unique. The Mothers' International School is one of the top-5 schools of India.
Yoga is one of the important features of this campus. They offer free Yoga classes in the morning. One has to go and registered.
The guesthouse of the Ashram is highly subsidized. The food in the canteen is made of organic vegetables. It is cheap and best.
Peaceful oasis amidst busy city and busier lives. Especially love the new meditation hall. Carrying forward the same warmth of the cosy old one embodied.
