They messed up the Mela this year by keeping too many stalls & removing seating at the Food area.plus the quality of food at stalls has gone down with high prices, Rs200/ for two Alu tikki. Very uncomfortable for SeniorCitizens with no place to sit & rest even for 10mints!
A blessing for the visually impaired. The annual diwali mela is a place to visit with a variety of stalls from across the country and food (specially the rajasthani food stall)
Famous for their Diwali mela and festive products that directly support the foundation. They have a large variety of handmade products at very reasonable prices.
I have been visiting this place for more than 2 decades. My parents have been taking me and my sister since childhood. We go there every year to buy diwali decorations. Apart from this if you want to volunteer here.they allow that as well. You can go here and spend sometime with special kids and help them learn something.
Visited there for a cause to help in making and packing candles for upcoming diwali festival. All of the teachers and staffs are very polite and helpful. Interacted with few students there and they are so motivated and full on life. Everyone should visit there and contribute as per the capacity to make a better place for Blind people.
A blind school having facility of education and vocational training to blind people to make them self reliant in their life. In the school visual impair people make candle, envelope and garments also. They have a foot massage room also. All the things are Available for sale to public. Many person come their to celebrate birthdays and anniversary etc with students of the school. This is an amazing experience. We can also donate money or sponsor breakfast, lunch, dinners etc. In the memory of our parents.
Unbelievable how visually impaired children make such creative things, some amazing work is done by blind relief association. Children make such lovely candles to light our lives. Simply beautiful.
Place where blind children learn skill like candle making and a few skills on machines. Blind children reside there, studying there. People donate frequently.
Lovely place to buy candles.their candle counter is open throughout the year.when you buy their products you are beautifying your house along with doing a humane gesture.all personnels are extremely well behaved and humble.i am their patron since 2008.my diwali completes with their earthen diyas.only if they can start on line service.then their patronage will increase many folds because lot of people in all cities of india are interested in buying their products.
This annual Diwali Mela/Exhibition is a place I like to visit every year. Hosted by the Blind School Delhi at Lodhi Road, they have the best Paraffin wax diyas and candles plus excellent hand made paper items. The venue co hosts other stalls with a wide variety of high end craft items and more. Parking can be a challenge, so taking a cab to the venue is advisable.
I visited this place during Diwali Mela organised by the blind relief association. It was an eye opening experience to see how charitable trust is turning the experience to children. It heals many to work and inspire despite god hasn't created anyone less equal. This place is such which gives vibes to many to work for the noble cause of society. It helps the bond of everyone in a good one. Do visit them and show your love being a true friend you can be ️
Wonderfully crafted masterpieces from the children of God. One must visit and buy from here to contribute for well being of such differently able children.
Great initiative! We must all come visit, donate, help teach the kids and do our share. Mr. Singh who sits in the office is a kind man. People who are complaining about the school should help more and complain less.
Because of the COVID, they are not having those flashy diwali mela this year and frankly speaking it's a very right move for times like these! But they are still selling the diyas (for which they are famous for), So go visit them they are selling till choti diwali and dont worry parking will not be the problem this year️
