The mutton dishes are the best here. The service is slow. Expect at least 15 mins for your dish to arrive. Every dish is served as a complete meal for 1 person. So I recommend ordering 1 dish for each person.
One of the very best places to have all dishes of bihar, right from snacks to main course all of them are equally good.
The littis are a bit on the spicier side so do make sure that you do have the capability, otherwise it's absolutely delicious esp the bhartas that accompanies.
They brew the chai so if you are a chai lover, you know you have to order that.
It's a so-called Bihari food restaurant located near the famous Nehru Park near Satya Marg Bihar Sadan.
The restaurant ambience is simple location wise it's very very convenient for central Delhi people.
The quality of food is also average nothing very very great except the flavour of Champaran meat and Chicken biryani. Actually it appears that those staying in the guest room get special discounted prices whereas those from outside will always be very costly. No dishes except BIHARI BURGER are less than Rs. 600/.
Nutsell the cost is too high if we consider the amount of food per platter. Jai Hind
The food was tasty and I had a awesome experience.the ambiance also look so very pleasant. I had ordered the multiple items especially the bihar foods was very tasty can't explain in words. Then the final desert was my personal lovable items
Awesome awesome awesome! The Litti Mutton is to die for. I have not eaten anything veg here so cannot say anything for that. The location of this one is good too. A cute secluded place with almost no crowd.
This time the fare was not as appetizing at all.sad! I have always been a Patron of this place but was surprised at the fall in standard. Fish biryani was good.so was pineapple upside down cake. Rest of the fare was just about average. The steward Rahul was friendly and eager to make us have a good meal
People from Bihar may love it but, north Indians don't like it if you want to give it a try then go for it. I ordered chap mutton. It wasn't properly cooked. In 550 rs they served only 3 pieces along with 2 chapatis. I would rate 1 out of 5.
Feel the nostalgia with authentic bihari cuisines. No compromise in taste. Even extra puris, roti and paratha are served with extra cost. I love this place.peaceful place.staffs are also nice. It's a must try for everyone.
Pathetic experience. Worse resturant ever for dine in. There are no proper option for starters.poor customer service and taste is ok. But only Thali system no seperate menu. As compare to quality and quantity of food, price are very expensive. Service charge 10% extra added in bill.apart from individual price and tax.
Must visit restaurant.staff is decent, hygiene is good, ambience is peaceful, food taste is amazingly delicious. It was my first visit and fully satisfied with the taste
The authentic jayka of Bihar, the Sarson waali Macchi and the Dehaati Mutton with one of the best Litti that I have had since childhood, the aalu chockha and baigan bhartha beats the Bihar stall at Delhi Haat hollow. Kudos to you Mr Munish for offering us the truest masala n flavours of Magadh in Delhi. Looking forward to our next visit with more guests
Food is good! Service good and the staff is very cooperative. The place could do with a little face lift and storage should not be around/ in the dining area. Looks shabby
If you like to try real authentic bihari cuisine in delhi then make a visit to Potbelly in Bihar Niwas & you won’t be disappointed. They have an amazing menu you can choose from, there platters are delicious with different chutney’s.
The food is decent. It's more about outing than the food. It's a quaint little restaurant in Bihar niwas and there is not much rush. The prices are a bit steep.
The Food is spicy, so get some coolers to soothe yourself. The ambience is good for coming with family, not so much for going with friends. A bit disappointing for Chicken lovers since most options are in mutton.
Restaurant in Bihar Niwas. Nice assortment of Pooris, tasteful mutton n fish dishes.enough dining space.best is dehati fish fry.parking on the road in front of bihar niwas.
First time I had Bihari food. And, it it delicious.
It was a wonderful experience with the host introducing us to the various choices.
We had the Champaran Mutton which is amazing and boneless. A Saboodana basket, and Litti mutton. Though, the litti mutton does leave you filling heavy.
This was followed by Raspua and saffron boondi in hung curd.
Lovely bihari cuisine. Must try litti mutton and champaran mutton. Services can be improved. Note - Its on the ground floor with an outdoor dining space, however not rooftop.
It's a good place. Definitely prices are almost at par with big restaurants but food is good. Some dishes which I enjoy there are 'Champaran mutton' 'madhubani thali' and 'sarso machhli'. It is in Bihar Nivas. It's not on roof by the way, so don't get confused by its name
Good food specially the pakoda basket. But someone should do a swach Bharat at the Bihar Bhawan. Will recommend Potbelly Cafe for a delightful change from the usual mall food courts.
Bihari cuisine is not just about Litti Chokha. The rich ancient heritage of the place is infused in their cuisine, courtesy its authentic flavours, aromas of the spices and condiments - all put together to serve the most sumptuous fare that a food aficionado can ever dream of. This place is a must-visit for all food lovers and it's certainly a paradise for the natives of Bihar.
This restaurant is situated at Bihar Bhavan, a house hold by Government of Bihar. This restaurant serves a huge range of Bihari foods. At a reasonable price.
This is A Bihari Traditional Dishes Restaurant. Serves Bihari Dishes with the twist of taste. The taste of food with Mustard is quite good. Restaurant is on 3rd Floor, I won't Suggest any senior citizens to pay your visit here.
The staff is much less in comparison to the crowd. So you need to have patience after placing the order.
The seating capacity is little.
In case you wish to try entirely different cuisine, Try here.
Known for its bihari dishes. Best in taste. Nice ambiance. But price is too highy according to the content of the food. Must try if you love or wanna try bihari dish.
Excellent food and the choice of menu. Full marks to the one who designed this menu. I wish they have bigger portions for the starters. Overall a superawesome experience.
Limited options but nice taste. Very good ambience. Maithili and madhubani thali for veg and khada masala/ kalimirch chicken and sarso fish for non veg are best.
Potbelly restaurant is inside Bihar Niwas, just left after you enter the gate. One of best place to silence your hunger within Diplomatic Enclave. You should have taste for the food of eastern India. Yummy
Actually this restaurant is at ground level. Excellent quality food. Good ambience. Very cordial staff. Must visit for litti chokha and mutton. Also try the lawn. Good place to visit with family.
Really slow service. No courtesy as soon as you enter the premise. They might as well declare this restaurant a self service restaurant. Highly not recommended.
Spent a lovely afternoon in this quiet yet colourful restaurant set within Bihar Niwas in Chanakyapuri. Staff is helpful and very informative and served us exactly what we wanted i e tasty but not spicy food. Loved tasting the various items made of different types of lentils and cereals, could relate to a lot of dishes as the food (Bihar) is from our neighbouring state (Bengal). Would recommend anything on Marua Roti and the Sattu cooler was ideal accompaniment to this food.
Awesome place to satiate your hunger for Bihar food. They serve delicious, lip licking and scrumptious dishes. You will love to visit it again and again. Try the starters along with the various thalis with different combinations of food. Super food joint.
Over pricy, quantity is very less (for a bowl full of vegetable, they'll provide only 4 puris) but yes, the taste is good. Also for such an ambience, you'd not be willing to pay that much. The 'Maithili thali' is highly recommended for all you vegetarian peeps. The location is quite good with all the state residential houses, a very sophisticated place. You'll find a really good crowd, if you plan to visit there.
A comfortable place to eat though Service can be rather Mofussil and cleanliness can be an issue for some. But overall a value for money place to satisfy hunger.
