Delicious international continental food recipes. Rates are very reasonable and quality and quantity is wholesome. The place is quite with great hospitality by staff in all manners. Well managed and authentic Indian food with continental dishes is served with Good quality and courtesy. Our favorite dishes our Cream of Mushrooms soup, Chicken ala Kiev, Grilled Chicken with Sauted vegetables.

Amazing place with super food. The snacks were super delicious and specially the Dal Makhani. Really enjoyed being here for the first time. Would definitely recommend this for small gatherings of upto 75-100 pax.

Visited USI after almost 10 years and the first time during the pandemic. Glad to note that the standards have been maintained in all aspects.as if anything less was expected!

Visited with friends for lunch. It is nice and clean place with all covid precautions are taken care of.

The food is tasty and available at affordable price. Since this place is inside restricted zone therefore people outside the zone may not be available to visit this place.

Another issue is it gets crowded sometimes around lunch time therefore advice to order online before visiting. You can book table also beforehand.

USIOF is a good club, entry restricted for members only. Moreover, It is within the military cantonment area, so one has to show the membership card at the check post to enter that area.

Place is nice. However, with everything else that has gone wrong in this rotten year, so has this institute's restaurant. They have recently started dine in only for lunch; dinner's still off limits. However, on the day we went, it was diwali, and they didnot have any dining patrons when we reached around 1400h. The staff was hence extremely relaxed and though they said the restaurant was open, the steward (or whoever, he was), wasn't sure if they had enough ration to cook for the nine of us. He went and asked someone and then came back to us to inform that they can arrange lunch, but only as takeaway (for whatever red tape reason). They showed us a menu on which indian and continental dishes were listed but again we were informed continental wasn't available as the chef who prepared the dishes, is not there (? He went home.or walking towards home.or got sick and admitted.or died?).
The reason for 4 stars is that the food that they ultimately served after about 1 hr of preparation time was quite decent.

The Retreat, the restaurant in USI is a treat to be in. It serves Indian, Chinese, Continental and Pan Asian. Food taste, quality is amazing, at such prices (refer to the menu pictures for prices). Ambience is lovely once your inside. There's a dressing code here, shorts, slippers are not allowed. So please see before you come. I've given the restaurant timings as well. I love the continental they serve.

It is a perfect services institue with defence scholars as its members to discuss and form various doctrines of defense forces. It has a state of art auditorium to organise various seminars and workshops. It has decent accommodation for the visitors with a popular restaurant with good variety of food and good service in a nice ambience at reasonable price

If you don't mind having Chicken Pieces in your Vegetarian Dishes then this is the place to go. Unapologetic Staff and No Redressal of Grievance Allowed and Eat at Your Own Risk.

Excellent restaurant of the United Services Institute, located inside the cantonment. It's on the outer ring road with a turn towards Shankar Vihar. People without an authenticated pass or identity card will be denied entry though. People from all services do come in here - the police, IAS, IRS, Defence personnel et Al. The restaurant is called "Retreat". Offers a multicultural and multicuisine affaire. The Indian menu and snacks are good. But the best is the Continental spread is indeed superb and value for money.

The Retreat is like an oasis in the desert, Lotus in mud. This place is not easily stumbled upon, But once you are here, you are in gourmet heaven. Continental, Oriental, Indian, Mughlai.you name it.they ACE it. Simply Delicious. I rate all restaurants critically based on my favorite Daal Makhani and Lachcha Parantha, and I am not easy to please. Retreat gets it: The portions are filling, Rates Reasonable, even the campus itself is surreal.it is far from the Delhi hustle with well curated garden and ample parking space. Compliments to the Chef.

After seeing this place on zomato gold, one day finally visited it. Its inside army campus, a littler interior in Vasant vihar area but its worth going. Food is great and prices are really reasonable.
I tried following things:
1) Veg manchurian: It was yummy, perfect in taste good in quantity.
2) Kashmiri aloo dum: Something was lagging in it. Basically kashmiri aloo dum has inside stuffing with paneer and nuts, though it had nothing.
3) Tandoori butter Roti and Naan: Both we’re equally good.
4) Cold coffee: It was nice.
Service is fast and good.

Very lovely place, built for retired Army officers. A great place to stay. Food is very delicious at very affordable price. The quality was like 5 star hotels. Hospitality was also nice. The behaviour of staff was nice.loved this place.

Loved the place, wonderful service, the staff very courteous and helpful. The rooms are clean and the restaurant offers good food at affordable prices. Low impact layout offers lots of green and peacocks for early morning company!

It's truly a hidden gem in a city like DELHI. Visit here to bite on amazing delicacies with a class apart service. Had a private gathering here for lunch so you can see the menu in a picture itself.
It's inside the defense boundaries but the restaurant is open to civilians as well.
