Tilak Bridge is a major station in New Delhi. All the passenger trains and few express trains halt here. Station is getting renovated these days by Ministry of Railways, GoI.

A lot of things to showcase the loose facilities.
1. There is no Drinking water provisions (Note: - Water coolers available but these are not operating and Outlet connected with main line that's why you have to drink polluted Delhi water)
2. Toilets are available but with no water connection for use)
3. Not a single ramp or any other provisions for wheel chair persons.

Totally Disgusting.

It is very small station you can get trains for Aligarh, Meerut, Ghaziabad, and moreIt is situated in the heart of the city. The main area is I. T. O and practice maidan which is less then 400 meters away from this station and Mandi house is also very near to this station. The major railway station in this line is NEW DELHI railway station which is 3 km away from TILAK BRIDGE. Very very busy railway station, more than 100 thousand people travel from here every day for their jobs, you can say it's center for travel in new delhi. Very few trains come there at the railway station, most of the EMU people also stop there, due to not having too many trains there, trains come there only in the morning and evening. Tell me as an example, EMU has become your Bareilly Express, mostly this train stops and EMU is a local train of car cell, it stops.

Very crowded during early office hours and evening hours.
ITO and Mandi House are nearby.
CP is also not far from here.

Tilak Bridge Railway Station is in ITO area. Walking distance from mata sundri college, Pragati maidan metro and ITO. Lot of crowd can be seen around office time in morning and evening. Public Toilets are in very bad condition and same situation with Drinking water. Administration does not care much about it. Few food stalls are there but you can't expect decent food from them.

Tilak Bridge railway station is a railway station in New Delhi which is a residential and commercial neighborhood of the New Delhi district of Delhi. Its code is TKJ.  The station is part of Delhi Suburban Railway. The station consist of 4 platforms. The platform is not well sheltered. It lacks many facilities including Water and Sanitation. Construction of additional 5th and 6th new railway line is happening between Tilak Bridge and New Delhi to enhance capacity of already saturated tracks. With this three additional platforms have been constructed (new platform 6 and 7 would be an island platform) at Tilak Bridge. This will take the total number of platforms to 7.

Tilak Bridge Railway station is 15km from New Delhi Rly Station. An important small Rly station in east of New Delhi, situated at the important location of the New Delhi.

Local trains stop only but offers the best public transport connectivity in delhi. With two metro stations in close proximity and many bus stops which provide bus connectivity to all cardinal directions it is the public transport hub
