दिल्ली में रहने वाले कम ही लोगों को तीस हजारी इलाके के इतिहास के बारे में पता है। कि इस इलाके में पहले आज की तरह घनी बस्ती नहीं थी। यहां पहले खाली मैदान हुआ करता था, जिसमें तीस हजार सिखों ने अपना डेरा डाला। इस जगह को तीस हजार सिखों के बल से अपना नाम मिला है, जिन्होंने दिल्ली पर हमला करने से पहले 1783 में सैन्य जनरल बघेल सिंह धालीवाल के यहां डेरा डाला था। इसलिए ये इलाका तीस हजारी कहलाने लगा। इतिहास के पन्नों को देखा जाए तो पता चलता है कि सरदार बघेल सिंह के नेतृत्व में 30,000 बहादुर सिखों की फौज ने यहां कैम्प लगाया था। मुगल बादशाह शाह आलम द्वितीय के शासनकाल के दौरान सिख सैनिक महीनों तक यहां डटे रहे थे। इन सरदारों की मांग थी कि दिल्ली में सिख गुरूओं से जुड़ी जगहों की तलाश और वहां गुरूद्वारे बनाने की इजाजत दी जाए। सिख फौजियों से मुगल बादशाह इतना डर गए कि उसने लाल किले पर कब्जा न करने शर्त पर उन्होंने सरदार बघेल सिंह की मांग मंजूर कर ली। इतना ही नहीं मुगल बादशाह ने 4 साल दिल्ली में रहने वाले सिख फौजियों के खर्च की भरपाई भी मुगल खजाने से की थी।

Tis Hazari court complex is called so since it is situated in the area named as Tis Hazari in Delhi. The area gets its name from 1783, when 30,000 (tis hazaar in Hindi) sikh soldiers under Baghel Singh camped here before attacking Delhi and it's Mughal emperor.

Biggest district court of Delhi no systems all haffzard, quite difficult to get parking, no proper information available like all govt departments go to this no attitude of staff want to avoid every thing any thing, street advocate are there to loot innocent be careful of them.
I vgot a chance to visit this place during the lockdown and it was one of the bedt courts i visited till date. All the facilities are provided here, and moreover the cleanliness of the place was on mark! All the new technology gadgets are installed but the condition of washrooms was not good.

नईदिल्ली।। 12वीं शताब्दी सेअपने इतिहास को सजोने वाली दिल्ली की ऐतिहासिक विरासत में से एक है तीसहजारी कोर्ट।देश की सबसे पुरानी कोर्ट तीसहजारी को यह नाम इसलिए नहीं मिला क्योंकि यहां 30 हजार कमरेहैं।दरअसल इस नाम से जुड़ा है 18वीं शताब्दी का इतिहास। ऐसे पड़ा नाम बात 1783 कीहै, जब अपने मिलिट्री जनरल बघेलसिंह के निर्देशन में 30 हजार सिखों की फौज ने दिल्ली पर आक्रमण के लिए इस जगह पर डेरा जमाया था। 11 मार्च 1783 को सिखों की फौज ने लाल किले के दीवान-ए-आम पर कब्जा कर लिया।इसके बाद मुगल बादशाह शाह आलम द्वितीय ने उनके साथ समझौता किया।इस के तहत बादशाह ने बघेलसिंह को सिखों की ऐतिहासिक जगहों पर गुरुद्वारे बनाने की इजाजत देदी और राजधानी को मिलने वाले अनुदान के हर एक रुपये मेंसे 6 आने उन्हें देने की शर्त मंजूर की। आजादी के बाद कोर्ट 1958 में इस जगह पर तीस हजारी कोर्ट का उद्घाटन किया गया, तब यहां प्रमुख कोर्ट बिल्डिंग ही हुआ करती थी। उस समय यह दिल्ली मेंइकलौता कोर्टकॉम्प्लेक्स था।बाद में केसों के बढ़ते बोझ को देखते हुए यहां दूसरी जिला अदालतें बनाई गईं।इस वक्त तीसहजारी कोर्ट के अधिकार क्षेत्र में सेंट्रल, नॉर्थ और वेस्ट दिल्ली आतेहैं।तीस हजारी एशिया का सबसे बड़ा कोर्टहै।यहां रोजाना करीब 50 हजार मुकदमेआतेहैं।इस कोर्ट परिसर में वकीलों के लिए 5 और जूडिशलऑफिसर्स के लिए 1 लाइब्रेरीहै।

I like this place because I have worked here for long as an advocate. Nothing for general public here. It's a court and had the distinct status of biggest court of Asia. I don't know if it is still in it's name. Long history of this place, housing very learned advocates.
It is one old court. Too much traffic around. Needs rebuild soon to house more people n cars parking. Pls use metro to reach here if not carrying luggage
I am an advocate. I daily visit this place. I know what kind of people come to the court and there is lot of things which I can say.they need to be repair as well as replace or change. Court are the place where everything starts and ends.

One of the oldest court of Delhi, it's from britisher time. Heavy crowded and traffic. NOISE POLLUTION OF VEHICLE AND AIR POLLUTION ALSO IN BEANEATH THE NOSE OF LAW. NGT HAS TO DO LOT FOR THIS AREA. . IN SUMMER SEASON YOU FEEL UT MOST HEAT IN THIS PARTICULAR AREA.
