We took their late night dinner, it is open till 3am. The staff was very warm and helpful. The pasta was delicious. Loved the mixed sauce. However the mutton biryani was pretty average. Just didn't enjoy it that much. The pcs were chewy and the rice masala was nothing out of the ordinary.
Food is passable with limited variety. The place is in the middle of a posh area but not properly maintained as one would wish. The look is ancient. Service is also on the lower side.
The first experience here was not great. Although the ambience is nice but the food is nothing extra ordinary or great. Hope they improve the quality soon
Great service provided by the staff there. Nupur, Sudeep and team. Honestly this hotel feels like a home away from home to me. And the restaurant is the perfect place to grab drinks and invite my friends when I’m in the city.
Very nice place. I tried many dishes here whose test was very good. I really enjoyed eating that food, his test was very good. The staff is very good their service is very good
One of go to places always. So dissapointed on my visit a couple of days ago. The ambience so dull, music like better of switched off and food barely any taste. Very sad to see such a memorable place getting ruined.
Yellow Brick road food and hospitality is legendary. The staff is wonderful and always surprise you! Their hot chocolate fudge, idly chaat, veggies burger (huge) and veg jalfrezi and many more are just awesome. We love this cozy little nugget
YBR is one of the few oldest coffee shops in Delhi, Centrally located. I am visiting Yellow Bricks for almost more than a decade. The staff is friendly and the ambience is very cosy. This coffee shop serves some old-school delicacies like Railway Cutlet, and Weight Watcher Salad and not to forget the YBR Grill is a must-try.
Had been meaning to try this place for a while but was it a disappointment! While the interiors are charming, the place is tiny and also serves as the breakfast place for the in-house guests, so it is packed.
The food was below average and definitely overpriced. We were served a cold dosa.
The Sunday brunch buffet spread was less than impressive with very few options. What a disappointment!
It cost us ~INR 3200 for Sunday buffet for two people.
The place is small and always full. Visited there only for the reasons of nostalgia. Had a club sandwich, but was not happy with the quality, have had better sandwich at other places. Disappointed Would not recommend for special visits. Khan market close by has better options than this for continental food.
Visited the restaurant on my 50th birthday (26 Feb) with a hope of having a good time. Had my in-laws and friends in company. Unfortunately that was not the case.
The starters we ordered were masala idli and chicken tikka. After the order we waited for 15 mins then were told that the idli dish was not available. Till now we had spent 20+ mins and no one bothered to even offer water so much for famous taj hospitality. Finally we requested for the water to be provided. Chicken tikka however was good and can be tried.
Main course we ordered included grilled fish, spaghetti carbonara, pizza passionara and mutton biryani. While fish and spaghetti were good. Pizza and mutton biryani were atrocious. Mutton biryani was more like khichdi and totally bland. While the steward agreed that mutton biryani even looked bad the chef (Vishwa) insisted that was how it was different from other places. Biryani tasting and looking like khicdi and then being told that’s how taj does it. Really beats me.
Finally the service was awful. No stewards or servers were there people around waited for their dishes to arrive and this with hardly any crowd in the restaurant.
What a waste of time, money and occasion. I would have been better off visiting street side dhaba Atleast the food would have been better.
Been visiting this restaurant for over 2 generations. Lalaji and sons now run this Hotel with Taj Group of Hotels.
Quality of food is perfect but taste is just ok. I find it a bit spicy. Better than all the restaurants in Khan Market for sure.
The romato Soup I had was stale and tasted sour like tomato ketchup. Pasta was spicy but most Indians prefer it that way I guess. Some rowdy Lawyer sitting behind us was too loud and arrogant harassing Staff for no reason.
Staff was too kind and courteous. Service is perfect.
Memories of older visits relived, staff were courteous. Food was nice.ambassador hotel itself didn't look too great.maybe some renovations are needed. The entry didn't have the same luxurious vibe as before.
Extremely Over priced, below average food We ordered pasta el pesto, the sause did not taste good also the oil proportion was too much, made it too greasy to eat, And also ordered bacon ham masala omlette, was average. Definetly overpriced for the average food they served. Service was slow.it took them a long time to refill water despite asking twice
Taj Ambassador, Gateway is perfectly situated near Khan Market. This hotel with its coffee shop, Larry's China and the once wonderful now HORRIBLY designed bar Insomnia (fortunately the staff and quality of food and beverages are the same) is a convenient meeting place. Despite the pandemic, the menu is still fairly extensive.
What was heart breaking was to know that Chef Malik, with his gravelly voice, twinkling eyes, kindness and a tendency to make you things NOT on the menu was no more. He remembered what each person liked, not an easy thing with the turnover of customers. He would make FRESH upma past midnight and serve it up. His character infused the food he served. Am reminded of my great grandmother telling me that the person who gives you food and the WAY food is served matters! Chef Malik had a brain haemorrhage, not thankfully Corona. He must be in Heaven, made better with his culinary art! The owner the venerable Rajinder, who never failed to personally greet all guests is no more, victim to Corona. Rest in peace dear people. Will always miss you.
I have been visiting this place for over a decade. In recent visits the food quality has gone down, the ambience and furniture is weary and the outdoor stinks of sewage. Someone needs to restore the place.
The food is awesome.keema pao n bull's eye are my eternal favourites here n also perfect place for a coffee away from the hustle bustle of khan market!
The decore was amazing. We ordered white Thai curry which was finger liking good. The menu had dishes from all over the world. The prices were a bit high. The quality and taste of food was a big thumbs up.
Since the Chinese eatery next door, Larry's China is closed for dine in, YBR is serving some of their prominent dishes. Sesame Prawns and Chinese Greens were something we gorged on. It was topped by all-time favourite Bull's Eye of Yellow Brick Road. As usual, the meal was awesome! Even the service was faultless.
The restaurant looks neater for following Pandemic safety norms.
For a place so expensive their food was below average. The cappuccino was as good as a Nescafe coffee and the pasta arrabiata had no flavour. The prices are astounding for the kind of food being served here.
Yellow Brick Road serves some amazing and delicious food. They have lovely ambiance and good quality food. I completely enjoyed having food with my family and knowing some interesting things about this place.
Must try: Mulligatawny Soup YBR chicken club sandwich chicken risotto bulls eye
Iconic place in existence for the last 20 odd years and still rocking. I still remember when it just started we were quite regular to this place as it was a great hangout for late night cravings.
The food has been good throughout these years and the Chef is still the same, Chef Vivek Malik who's no less than a Rockstar. I can still find him talking to people in the restaurant as if he is family to them.
On my recent visit i got to know about their Winter Grill Menu which is in addition to the regular YBR menu. The sizzlers are a must try especially the Prawns and the Fish one. I just love their YBR chicken which is too good, the sauce atop the grilled chicken breast pieces is just delicious. For the desserts we can always have our all tim favourite Bulls Eye.
Yellow Brick Road: Indeed a bit different resturent. Inside hotel Ambassador and less crowded with cool ambience for couples and family both. Food is delicious and services is also good. Little costly in terms of price end. But in toto can be visited every fortnightly.
This breakfast place in Ambassador hotel near Khan market still retains it's old world charm. Good for a casual meet and greet with friends. It's usually a busy place with groups occupying most place. Good for a snack with a tea or coffee.
This is happening at Yellow Brick Road, a restaurant where East and West meet. Young, old, men, women boys and girls dine together, a rare event you can witness only here. I went to have breakfast with my son on the father's day as he is very fond of the place. When I received the bill I realized that the place is no more rin by Taj and its back to its original brand "Ambassador". The management has changed and the prices have stayed what it used to be when it was Taj Vivante. The brand Ambassador doesn't command that kind of premium. Please go there knowing that the service is not from Taj.
We went here to satisfy a midnight craving for desserts, and were left slightly disappointed with the dessert menu. Not many options, and definitely not good enough for a place like Taj Vivanta. Definitely needs an upgrade in the dessert menu. Tried the Banana split, and that was good.
Cosy, place. Has both indoor and outdoor seating. (Though few can enjoy outdoor seating in this weather, it's a nice feeling) limited seating (a bit cramped) simple and limited spread but fairly decent and quality food.well compensated by efficient and effective staff. Actually deserves from 4 to 4.5 star as if you go close to closing time of breakfast you may be left with few items. Still a good place and worth visiting. We are a regular here.and will continue to. Keep up the good work.
The staff in the hotel and restaurant are very courteous. The breakfast spread is really good and the food is filling. Definitely stop by here if you’re looking for a good place to eat. So much variety across cuisines. One of my favourite breakfast places.
Good food. Quality customer service. Clean, comfortable set up.we sat on patio outside and had tenderloin and vegetarian brochette. My friend and I enjoyed our lunch very much.
Good food and bright atmosphere makes this a nice place for a relaxed dinner. Can visit India Gate at night after a pleasant meal, since it is in the vicinity.
Good food. Grater portion size. Price is also not very high considering its a part of Taj Vivanta. Tip - Do not follow GMaps for navigation as you will end up on the staff entry gate. You have to enter from Taj Vivanta main entrance.
Fresh food, great service and cheery ambiance. Price is steep though and was very noisy the last time I was there. I used to like it because of the quiet. Still, definitely a good experience if you want a sumptuous meal.
A lovely place tucked nicely in the vicinity of centrally located Khan market. You can sit down for a quick coffee and some small filling after shopping spree in nearby market. The staff is hospitable, the food is okay, ambience is friendly. In summary a nice place for quick sit downs.
