Pentagon Restaurant

Loved the food as it was great value for money and was fresh. We tried their tossed salad, crab soup, Pantagon special kabab, Thai chilli chicken and chocolate brownies for dessert. The evenings come with love music and the restaurant is packed so make sure to reserve a table beforehand. We visited both on a week day and weekend and we would prefer visiting on weekdays. That being said the service is good and the attendees are well trained and overall otnis a lovely place to have a nice dinner with friends and family.

Such a great food joint.
Ample space, delicious food, good aura and live music, everything goes hand in hand.

Loved the food quality as well as quantity and not very expensive except lobster (4500/-)

Good Ambience, Service and Food.
Only thing I didn't like is the Smoking of the hall for driving away the mosquito. This is actually not good for health especially those who have breathing problems. Otherwise it was very good with live music and service was excellent with good and tasty food.

Located near majorda beach, one of the finest restraunt in south goa. Food is yummy n they bring fresh fish n crab to decide which one u want. Very nice experince, Must visit Place.

Fantastic — food and service were truly truly lovely. It was an absolute delight to dine here. Their food is extremely fresh and very very tasty.
They have live music which is good too and not loud and inconvenient for family’s to have a conversation.
The server was extremely good and so mindful.

Food is OK OK type had ordered chicken sizzler (less quantity for 2 people), Crispy chicken (Full of oil), butter beer (full of soda). Ambience is good but food quality and serving can be better.

Nice food, very crowded and hence slow service.
Had live music which was good. Get there before 8pm if you want to get seated quickly. Otherwise wait can be anywhere between 30 mins to 45 mins

Went here on a weekday afternoon. The place is very good and the ambience is lively and lovely. The menu has a good variety and the waiter even showed us the fresh catch of the day. We ordered calamari chilli garlic sauce, cheese naan, prawn sesame toast and thai chilli chicken. Loved all the items. Although the service here was very slow and we literally had to wait more than 20 minutes between orders.

Not worth the price. Donot order starters and chicken main course items. Looks all exotic, but not at all good.

Amazing ambience, reasonably priced alcohol and food. The live music really livens up the place. Service is impeccable.

Amazing experience!
The place has a lively vibe. It's a must visit if you want to try some goan food. Their butter garlic sauce is an absolute bomb of flavor.

I have been visiting this place from the time i was a kid and it's it's one of the best place ever and Mr Raj has made sure he has maintained the same flavours and the quality of the food thought the years.

It is must visit place. The food was excellent, the service was exquisite. The live music was excellent took us back to the nostalgic times. Mr. Raj has created a wonderful place for celebrations. Highly recommended.

It’s always said that Customer is GOD, however I didn’t get this feeling here bcoz the owner himself doesn’t have the decency to talk to his customers then how can one expect that from his staff… worst attitude experienced from his bartender Not a happy customer n would nvr go back to this place ever again I didn’t even want to give that 1 star which is mandate

This place is a food lovers paradise with live music in the evening that makes it such a lively place.

Let’s start from the start, as we landed up at around 9 pm with Martins corner full in terms of parking and people we proceeded here and what a great decision it turned out.

Their dedicated parking space was full but they had atleast three people in the parking area which would guide you to park your vehicle so that was a good sign to start with.

The place is huge and even on a Friday Night at 9 pm we managed to get a table in no time. The first 5-10 minutes just went by with scores of servers zipping past us delivering other peoples orders and no one even remotely interested in offering us water or take our order forcing me to think if we did the right thing to come here.

Just as my patience was running out one of the captains finally turned up at our table and took our order.

From what we ordered the Paneer Chilli was the most fabulous item of the evening, slightly crispy but extremely tender paneer thrown in with the right amount of spices which were not too mild nor too chilli Prices were extremely reasonable with Manchow soup being priced at 130 bucks just to give you an example and it was pretty good too.

The cheese balls were pretty decent and Dal Tadka in mains was pretty tasty too.

The paneer gravy was a bit of a letdown being a little sweet and a different sort of taste to it despite being asked for a medium spicy recommendation.

The Sizzling brownie was pretty good but it took more than 30 minutes for the preparation to reach our table which was the only delayed item through out our experience as otherwise everything arrived in good time.

Waiting for 30 minutes for your dessert isn’t something you would expect by the end of Yo meal when you’re looking to leave!

Due to the initial waiting period to get their attention and the huge delay at the end not rating them a perfect 5/5 but it’s a pretty good place to be in for fab food with a large value for money quotient.

The food has been consistently very good at Pentagon! And their service staff are a number of notches above the other restaurants around. If you're looking for a night out with some live music to go with it, then you're assured a live act at Pentagon!

Super service and great ambiance specially if you like live music and food was really good as well just the Recheado masala frish which we tried was little too tangy we usally enjoy it s little sweet as well otherwise it's a really beautiful place for every thing

The place is overpriced. Nice ambience but the quantity they serve is very poor. They being very close to the wholesale fish market charge 3500 for an average crab.

We had a beautiful evening, and one of the best part was the entertainment. Glen and Jessica played great music keeping the crowd on their toes. This is Goa. Lovely food and great music. Kudos to you Raj. That is for keeping Goa Alive and Rocking.

Pentagon is on the way to Majorda beach. You get fancy drinks with a great view and ambience.

This is an amazing place. It was my first time in Goa and I wanted to try Pork in Goa. Out of all the places I tried. This place had the best dish which really impressed me.
The softness of the meat the taste of the dish it was all just mouth watering whenever I eat pork. Thanks to this restaurant for introducing me the best Pork Vindaloo.

What I love about this restaurant is the live music and their specific choice of artists and their mix choice of song selection from English and Konkani.

Even like that there a lot of breathing space between tables. For the added Goan experience, would recommend trying the Feni based cocktails and dessert is Bebinca served with Ice Cream.

Food portions are good, ambience is awesome. Pro tip would recommend reaching early and getting your choice of tables and starting dinner early with drinks and snacks. Here you will get to experience a variety of songs.

Updating review after four visits to this Restaurant. Parking is available though it gets crowded on weekdays and holidays. A dedicated attendant helps to park your vehicle. It was raining when we visited. He held a huge umbrella over us and ushered us to the entrance. The ambience is at once open and delightful. There was one person singing songs in English and Konkani. Good voice great singing. The waiters settled us down properly. No physical menu cards. We had to scan QR code on the phone to download the menu one for drinks and and another for food. Ordered beer and pineapple juice. They came with a tray full of fresh fish to select from. We chose Chonok and asked them to cook it tandoori style. Check the pics. The grilled fish was excellent moist and full of flavour, beautifully grilled. In addition we ordered chicken kadai and Butter naan. Both were excellent. Great ambience, excellent service, great food, respectful staff upgraded to five star.

It's a great place to enjoy the food with your family.
The best thing is they provided us a high chair for our baby, this made them win our hearts. The food was good!

The owner Raj is very customer friendly and ensures every guest is well served n entertain.

The finest restaurant in south Goa.very consistent with taste, quality and quantity every time (atleast 35 times) we have visited.

Food is very Good, staff are good but the waits are not that polite, when we say them to Serve then only they serve the food. The hospitality should improve. No question for food. Food is very good But expensive. Ambience is very good. At this time the crowd is less but in normal days the crowd is very good. Live music

South Goa has been disappointing with food when compared with restaurants in North Goa. This place was empty when we got there. We ordered chicken lollipop, crispy chicken, tiger prawns and chili chicken but they were average at best.

The bar looks very nice but you need to level up your cooking to make sure people come back again.

The experience was really great. We went just in time when the live band was about to start. The experience was really mesmerizing. The place was nice and it had both indoor and open roof place to sit. Prior reservations are recommended for this place.

The food was great and we loved each dish we ordered. Although services is something that can be improved a bit, as our drinks order took longer than they should, given the restaurant was relatively empty then.

I'd probably give a 3.5 to this place but that's not a possibility and 3 would be a bit harsh.

I'd lead with things I liked about this place.
So, the restaurant has a good sitting like most of the cafes/resturants in goa. The restaurant has a open space too where you can sit in the open and smoke if you'd like. Smoking right inside the restaurant is not allowed. Food was decent. Drinks were well priced.

Coming to few of the things I didn't like.
Some of the dishes we ordered were not cooked the way we expected. The chicken lollipop was coated with a batter of corn flour and besan, and I'm a vegetarian but I've seen chicken lollipop and it did not look like it at all. Looked more like chicken pakora.
The onion rings were a sheer disappointment. Onion rings were made coated with maida, again this is not how you expect it to be made, it was pretty bland and just not something that you'd want to pay for at all.
Chocolate pancake was a disappointment too.
Other thing was that the waiter that waited us was either new or a little uninterested in helping us out navigating through the menu and helping us make choices, and even when we went back to him telling him about whatever was wrong with the dishes, we didn't get a proper reciprocation.

Some of the dishes like sesame mushroom, hot chilli garlic mushroom, chicken noodles, chicken spring rolls were more on the good side.

If you compare it with the cafes in North Goa, this place would be a no. But in South Goa vicinity, I think it's a decent place to try out.

Fantastic ambiance, delicious food and quick efficient service. Great care and hygiene protocol are being followed here.

Overall experience was good. It was not overcrowded in corona times so we hopped in.

Sizzlers were not up to expectations. The fish and tiger prawn sizzlers did not have any veggies in it. They provide option of french fries or rice with sizzlers and don't provide veggies if you order rice. We had to request separate veggies for our sizzlers. Too many green chillies in fish sizzler so be careful. One veg spring roll was burnt on lower side.

They have veg dishes too so restaurant is good for group or family that has veg as well nonveg lovers. Can be hole in pocket as our bill for 7 shot upto 5.5k.

Not dog friendly so avoid taking pets. Parking on the street so if overcrowded then you may have tough time finding a spot.

Spotted a painted stork that had built a nest right opposite the restaurant.

Decent food, slightly premium prices, and good service.
Nothing that sets the place apart from the rest of the tourist focused places though.

Good ambience. The staff were very helpful. The Cheese Balls and Gold Coin Chicken are highly recommended starter food. We tried the Chicken Sizzler and Beef Stroganoff for mains and they were meh. My Chicken Sizzler was dry and the Stroganoff was not good at all.

Bad food, pathetic service and mannerless owner. We paid for everything and then just thought of giving a feedback to which the respose was absolutely arrogant.

Ordered 2 lobsters.one thermidor and one was with a rechad masala.it was Mind-blowing! So so good. Can't wait to go back again!

We had some amazing vegetarian food at Pentagon near Majorda Beach Goa! The restaurant had a laid back and relaxing experience with live music and seemed like a very popular place amongst the locals! They had an elaborate veg menu and we tried a lot of amazing dishes here - What we liked the most was the Chilli Paneer, Hara Bhara Kebab (must try), cheese balls, cheese cherry pineapple! The fries were a bit bland and dal makhani was not much to our linking! Overall we had a great evening here and loved having the food here! Must visit place when in South Goa!

The restaurant is very clean and hygienic but the food served here is not up to the point.
Plating is good but the quantity is bit less in fish items according to the price. Place is silent with soft music and free from mosquitoes. Best recommended for couples and families.

This place has some amazing food with super fast service and very polite staff. The food was so good that 3 out of 5 nights we stayed in South Goa, we had our dinner there.
This place has a nice setup with indoor-outdoor sitting, we always chose to sit outdoors which is beside a large open field resulting in cool breeze throughout. They have a manned parking space with a capacity of 5-8 cars and we got parking every time we went there. They have live music where the artists are different for different days. The ambiance is very soothing and welcoming where you would like to spend your evening with the loved ones. Coming to the best parts:
1. Food - The food is simply amazing. We tried Goan, Continental, Indian, Chinese and everything was top notch. The seafood they serve is really fresh and the amount they charge is quite reasonable. I would say I could get a Green Lobster at the cheapest price here. They would bring a live seafood tray which consisted of Lobster, Red Snapper, Tiger Prwans, Gigantic Crabs, Sea Bass, etc and we had to choose the fish and the preparation we wanted. We tried Butter Garlic, Chilli Garlic, Richedo, Goan Masala and none of them disappointed us. We had to eat veg food one day due to some religious ceremony back home and to be safe we tried with the Indian options, were taken by surprise by the quality of the food.
2. Service - The staff here are well trained and very polite. There was a captain who would take orders and the process is automated.they take the order on a phone and it directly goes to the kitchen. The turnaround time of ordering the food and getting it on our table was on an average 5-7 mins which is commendable. The staff there suggested us the dishes we should try especially the seafood preparation and they were right almost every time.

Special Mention: They had one of the highest standards of COVID protocols compared to other restaurants we visited. Temp Check and automated Sanitizer at the entry (which all restaurants had), every table had a sanitizer, no paper menu only barcode, tables were set quite far from each other and most importantly all the servers were religiously wearing mask, shield and hand gloves & maintained some distance while taking order or serving.

I would highly recommend this place and would rate it as one of the best restaurants in Goa I have dined in. Keep Up team Raj's Pentagon

Good place for hangout, good ambience, good service as no one keeps u on waiting anyone comes and attends u the order is fast. Food is also tasty. Higher than reasonable as per cost.

Ambiance is good and so is the live music, but besides that the food was way under par and over priced. Had the rawa fried mussels and squid fritters, both of which were a big disappointment with taste and quality for the price.

Sea foods at Pentagon restuarant are too good and fresh. Best place for couple. Music is amazing.

Don't visit this place.it's only name sake.but the service and the remaining things r good there is lovely live music and also the waiter are very kind.mostly would recommend if ur a tourist u can visit here but the food is not upto the mark v visited here and the soup which was served was totally burnt and v had to ask for a replacement they did it without any hesitation.

Amazing continental food and not very expensive. Try the beef in mushroom sauce, squid calamari and pork sausages wrapped in bacon.

Nice ambience with a professional and prompt staff. Food was decently good. The steaks were good but frankly not the best. We also had the beef stroganoff which was a little sour as it contained pickles gerkins! That was a first for me. And I think do prefer the recipe without the pickles. Mojitos were spot on though. Food came swiftly and the waiter was just the right amount of attentive. Ambience is pretty and the field view seating on the outside is recommended.

Super place. Great live music. Even better food. Must try the Beef Fillet steak with pepper sauce. Ditto for the Chicken Pepper steak.
