It is a classic heritage place to visit. It a dupe of the actual Adalaj Stepwell and is called as "Adalaj ni vav". It has immense peacefulness. You should maintain safety in walking around the steps and the well is quite deep with around 5 floors and can be maintained by the govt authorities in a better way.
It's a heritage place not very famous like Adalaj vav but very beautiful place. Must visit Masjid adjacent to vav. Amazing art on stone. Very peaceful place and you can enjoy Bird songs.
One of the best historical places to visit in the Ahmedabad city area.
I've been living in ahmedabad and didn't know about this marvelous art till now. Located near Asarva Area (15min from Sarangpur). No parking facility but you can street park (2 wheeles preferable). The vav is so huge that you can spend half a day just wondering about the place and taking photography.
Unexpectedly cleaner than i expected. Muslim locals are handling this historical place pretty well. The Vav was constructed in the 15th century under Mohammad Begada's era. Its 5 stories step well.
Take Camera for photography the place is aesthetic one. Visiting here with family or friends would be fun. You won't have any food facilities here. But the street food will be available as it's a city after all.
Visit this place on the weekend if you are in Ahmedabad. Attaching Photos and videos for your reference.
This iconic step-well, built in 1499, is a beautiful architectural masterpiece in Indo - Islamic architectural style. It is five stories deep and styled on intricately carved large number of pillars. This is a beautiful monument to visit which you shouldn't miss if you are in the city.
This is the exact same place that comes in the Ok kanmani Kollywood movie. From manifesting to be here, actually being here is Surreal on top of it, this place has amazing symmetry and aesthetic to it, awe struck, this is one of the Must visit historical places in Ahmedabad. Spend around 3 hours wondering about the architecture of this place. There's a mosque also located within this stepwell
The place was build very uniquely but there was no one to maintain it. Not much tourist were attracted there as the place itself and the surrounding was not much happening. I would not suggest anyone to go there after sunset as the place is a little creepy. If properly maintained can become a good tourist attraction. There were many monkeys and birds in the surrounding which gave a relaxed feeling, make sure to feed them something️
This monument is in a Very isolated area. Also please note that there is a mosque at the end of this monument and those wearing shorts are not allowed. So please ensure that you are not wearing shorts when you visit the mosque.
Bai harir vav.this stepwell is situated in asrwa village near to kalupur railway station.architecture was amazing also you can go without entry fees.no charges for photography or videography.no time limit for staying inside. Hear you can seen many archaeological/architecture students who visiting hear. This location was inside the village hence no transportation available so go with private vehicles.
It is very old step well, a must visit place in day time for history lovers. Avoid going in evening or late night, railway yard and coal merchants are there.
It's same as adalaj vav but this is more near to the center and there are no tourists so you can skip the adalaj vav and visit this one also this is close to the railway station compared to adalaj vav. And there is no entry fee over here. And as there is no tourists and people you can click good photos.
Historic place (1500 AD). Archaeological monument. Deep step well adjacent to a mosque. Detailed carvings on the stone walls & pillars. No entry fee. Parking on the congested road outside. One rectangular well and another circular well at the centre.
Amazing architecture, more than 500 years old, whereas it should be maintained by respective authorities efficiently. It has 5 stories and 2 wells that were used by the women's of haram of bai-harir, wife of mehmud begda who built this VAAV in 1499. A must visit in Ahmedabad
What a massive hiatoric place it is! This place has a caretaker and there is no entrance fee for the place. The caretaker is so good and humble will give you a tour and explain about the place without any charges, so it is advisable to pay h a good amount of tip as a courtesy. The walls of the well have palm marks all in blood, it os of the workers who made the place, their hands were cut thereafter
Excellent ancient architectural Seven storeyed Step-well. Heritage of india. There is so much hardwork, detailing and symmetry among all the floors which is a treat to the eyes. It's so good to see long back how such master piece was built without much easiness. Such kind of Indian pride should be preserved and maintained so that the glory of them keep going. The place needs lot of Maintenance now. The well is dirty and home to bats now.
Bai Harir Sultani Stepwell is a stepwell in Asarwa area in Ahmedabad.
It is not as famous as Adalaj Vav but it is beautiful and wonderful.
It is said that Dhai Harir (also known as Bai Harir Sultani), a household lady of Mahmud Begada, commissioned this stepwell. She built a mosque alongside and a small tomb, in which she was buried. Simple Amazing place
This is an excellent showcase of artwork of the past. This is place is kind of unexplored and unprotected compare to other historical places in ahmedabad. I like this stepwell more than the other known stepwells. One would not miss this place if they are planning to explore the city.
Extremely beautiful place. The details here are so intricate and amazing. The history behind the construction of this place is also so fascinating. A must visit.
A best and must place to visit in Ahmedabad. Just 10 mins away from Ahmedabad jn Kalupur Station. One will surely fall in love at first sight after looking this place. The step well and walls are carved in such a beautiful way and depth of well is of a 5 levels consists of steps to go down the well.its totally dry now.we can visit some more step wells in the city and all are damn beautiful
It is a historical place. Entrance starts from a structure which is standing on pillars and have a huge done on top. Further ahead their are underground floor descending through set of stairs. There are 5 levels down the well. Each level appears to be a floor in it. If one go straight on the top level then at the end one would be able to see the well clearly with all 5 floors downwards. This stepwell is something which is unique in itself. Going beyond the stepwell their is a 300+ years old mosque with beautifully carved facade. Designs on the pillars and walls are beautifully carved.
Very beautiful. Infact I like it more than adlaaj Vav. Worth a visit. Beautiful architecture. There is mosque too just behind the well with beautiful architecture. A must visit place
Very nice and historical place for visit in Ahmedabad. Construction and craft work is same as adalaj step well at some extent. Maintainance of this well is not done properly. Water was also not present in well.
This place is very amazing. I have seen it in few movies. Was fascinated by the view. When we reached the place its not maintained well and there were very less people. But the good thing is its a wonder in itself. Amazing place to wonder and be merry about the architecture which gives a pleasant view. Nothing much to see around but this step well is amazing but if its maintained well it would attract more visitors.
Very nice place for old historic architecture affecionadoes. Mostly intact in spite of being from old times. Unlike Raniki vaav, the carvings are not very intricate. But the concept and condition is commendable. Undoubtedly, worth a visit place right in the city of Ahmedabad.
