Gira Falls

It is a natural place very nearby to highway when starts from navsari. In momsoon beauty of this waterfall is super. It is surrounded by many road side street vendors. Police is always there to watch on tourists as in monsoon its very dangerous flooding. No one is allowed to go nearby.

Nice place to visit and it’s in way of Saputara so must visit this place if you are going to visit Saputara.

EXCELLENT BEAUTY OF MOTHER NATURE, THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T LIKE IS AUTHORITY NOT GIVING PERMISSION FOR BATHING INSTEAD OF PROVIDING LIFE GUARD.

Nice place but you cannot enter in water due to high risk areas and government is not allowed.

Visited on 1Oct.rain fed river, so is seasonal.when we visited, water flow was huge and great for photo ops.wasn't very crowded.organized parking

Gira Dhodh is a remarkably peaceful place with a serene atmosphere. However, it's important to note that the water quality of the waterfall is not suitable for bathing, as there is no entry near the waterfall for that purpose.

There's no entry ticket required to visit, and you can conveniently park your vehicle on the roadside. If you prefer parking closer to the entrance of Gira Dhodh, parking tickets are available at a reasonable cost.

Moreover, you'll find many shops offering handcrafted wooden items such as key stands and flower pots, along with special food packets from Dang. It's an experience worth having at least once.

Experience is awesome as we have 6 friends with 3 bikes and weather is awesome waterfall is very famous we have seen lot of crowd people are enjoying weather and taking photos and sitting on rocks.it is nearer to chikhli approx 44 km on route to saputara road.

This place is usually ok, but in people prefer this place to be visited on specially monsoon season due to beautiful fall of it.

Gira waterfall, located in small village Wanarchod, the seasonal falls around monsoon is around 30 meter natural drop into the River Ambica. Gira Dhod is one of the most popular water fall and located at only 3 km from town Waghai of Dang district, Gujarat and on Saputara-Surat highway around 54 km away from Saputara. This is very beautiful and picturesque waterfall with lush green surrounding area along with basic tourist facilities, thus attracts a lot of people who visit Saputara hill station. As this is season waterfall, thus monsoon – during July – October is the best time to visit Gira Fall. Though lot of tourist visits here for one day picnic but there is no major restaurant or hotels near waterfall but you can find small stall of tea, snack and famous local food and handicraft items. Lots of handicraft items are made in Ambapada the small village near Gira falls, thus if time permits then you should plan to visit this village and purchase items which will help to boost in local economy. You can also enjoy ride in open jeep here. The falls can only be reached by 1 km trekking from the parking place. The best season to visit the waterfalls is the post-monsoon season.one of the bed this is that parking car charges is more and also charged for a pre wedding or wedding photo shoot

Good one but local authorities are taking different charges for entering and car parking with any further facilities at that place.

Best place to vist when you enroute to Saputara. Must visitin monsoon, August or September start. Awesome weather, space location & cloud touches, water falls sound it's too good. We visited in mid August.

It was a good time there though public is not allowed to go near falls. The market near it has very good bows and arrows and some artistic things. A shallow stream moving near the market is good for dipping your legs. A good place overall.

Nice place to visit in monsoon season friends and families. You will love the ambiance people only drawback is like there is entry fee of rupees 10. Please park vehicle outside on the main road so you will not have to pay parking fees

This place is to be visit only during the monsoon (specifically when it's raining or clouds are around) otherwise it's too hot to visit there

One to the best views, the flow is very high it can be very dangerous to go near the falls but indeed one of the best waterfalls in Gujarat!

This is worth visiting site for Monsoon, if you love Dangs.this has its beauty. We will hike on top once the waterfalls go calm.
It is also considered one of the dangerous falls so make sure that you understand it and atay safe although Home Guards would usually keep you away from danger areas.

Avoid going here on a Sunday! Extremely crowded during weekends. The waterfalls are beautiful! Great place to watch sunset. Also the road to the parking lot is little narrow. Many people leave their cars on the main road and go inside walking.

A great place to visit en route Saputara. It is about 1.5 kms from Waghai Botanical Garden. During monsoon, it is fully charged and one can enjoy the beauty of nature in the backdrop of lush green view. One can by home made nagli papdi, nagli floor and other tribal handicrafts.

Best waterfall around Surat. This place is pretty much developed now. It's hardly 2 hour drive from Surat. One of the best place to enjoy a oneday family picnic. Very good Parking Space and Restaurant outside. Also you can buy some amazing showpiece, toys, keychains and other things which are totally handmade and mostly out of bamboo at a very good price. There is also a Botanical Garden nearby to visit.

Best time to visit is in the evening during sunset. If you want to see water fall, you must visit it during rainy season. Also, wooden handicraft is amazing.

I visited it in November last week. There was no fall. However, I had to pay rs 50 for parking and the not a single vehicle was there! Only shop of coldrinks was open all food stall were close. Been there while returning from Saputara. We visited there in Dec, 18. Not so good as it used to be. Very small fall and nothing to see there. There May be some stalls and public on weekends. But not recommended to visit unless it is monsoon season.

One of the best destination for outings in weekends with family and friends. The mesmerising sounds of waterfall along with the bright rays of sun snatching away the mood of the people. The eatery stalls are also awesome with variety of food products and queue of handcrafted wooden materials and showcases.

Went a month back. 1hr drive from club mahindra hatgad. Had only 2 streams. Drive to the falls was very good.

This fall is good place to visit like natural beauty. However it very much interesting to visit during monsoon period. During other season, water flow is either limited or stand still. This place is Rocky at down stream side.

Good place to visit. Some more attention by government is required to develop this place in more traditional way.

Best water fall. The beauty queen of vansda's junngle. In monsoon you got best environment and lots off falling water at gira dhoah (gira falls). Having good safety instruction and large area for parking. Here you get local fast food. And local luch dish with cheapest price with best taste.

I can't belive what I saw there. It was such an breathtaking experience. The waterfall was in its full form, I could feel splash of water even i was standing 300 mtrs away. A life time experience.

Nice place. We went in evening during November. There wasn't even a single drop of water at the site. But great surrounding atmosphere.

A lesser known waterfalls almost at the border of Gujrat and Maharashtra. Its about 50 km from Saputara towards Surat.
As its lesser known, hardly any crowd was around, but the fall was wide and with full force. It was very rocky near the waterfall, so restriction to go very near or into the waters. No one is allowed to get into the waters.

Some improvement could have been thought of in the nearby area. The walkway path towards the waterfalls were lines with atalls selling trinkets and food items. The place qaa not kept clean, we should really learn the civic sense to keep the place tidy.

Very nice waterfall. On way from Saputara to Surat it’s on way & must visit place. We have visited in October but in rainy season it may be great place. We reached here in mid of day & due to October heat we could not enjoy walk upto falls. I recommend visit in morning hours.

Mini Niagara falls of Gujarat, one of the best water falls in Gujarat. Recommended to visit in monsoon season.

During monsoon a good place to visit. It is only one KM inside the main highway. Parking is available nearby.

In monsoon this waterfall has it's own charm. But because of many accidents in the past you are not allowed to go close to water. But the view was splendid.

Cool place to enjoy in monsoons. Try local bamboo pickle once. You can play and try to swim at other fall there.which you can see at right downside of entrance for gira.

Not very beautiful fall, but though it's good, if you live in Gujrat than it is difficult to find waterfall better than this

The best place on the way to saputara. U can have a great time if u go in groups. Water is all mud because of floods. They are not allowing closer as the floor is heavy. U can find variety of eatables at the falls. Weekend place to visit and have fun time.

We have been to Gira Falls yesterday. Awesome falls to admire especially during monsoon. We have visited this place several times on returning from Saputara, Shirdi, Nasik etc. Bathing beneath the main falls is disastrous. Earlier some youngsters have not followed the instructions passed on to them by the local security, consequences it has ruined their life. Some places are really meant for entertainment but if we breach the rules, it's open invitation to jeopardize. At least we should strictly follow the rules governed by the God. Never play with fire and water otherwise it'll be peril to everyone. Local hawkers selling their local products for eating and some bamboo made items as a showpiece. Ample place is available for parking. Peoples who loves nature and fond of tracking in the forest and mountains, this place is adequate to fulfill their desire.
