Excellent teachers and excellent school. My daughter is in preschool and the teachers are brilliant. Special mention to Ms Kamini who is extraordinary. She not only helps in academics but overall development of the child. The annual day was awesome. I like that everyone celebrates it together. The involvement of the principal in all the activities is commendable.
Had a pretty bad experience with GIIS though. It’s a pure example of a how a school should not be run. It’s a business enterprise in the garb of a school. The initial stepping in experience itself put me off. The front line staff was just so eager to get you an admission trying all stunts such as if you delay you won’t get the morning batch and also the fees will increase. Is GIIS itself demeaning its noon shift batch - don’t know and NO don’t even want to know. Stay away folks - it’s that simple.
Very bad experience with school. Even after so many mails to the principal & discussion with admin people. Nobody cares about small students. All they care about is money.just to make more money school is running 2 shifts a day and putting pressure.on both parents and child to wake up as early as 5: 30 a.m. To reach school by 7 a.m. Even in harsh winters. They are taking less classes because they have to empty the rooms by 12 for the next shift. Pathetic management.
Uploading images of student and parents for id card is totally frustrating experience. I tried to upload more than one hour for the same but Server is rejecting all images. To issue id card, the whole process of too complicated for the parents. For such simple task, School can collect photos from parents but unfortunately not.
If I had to rate for the last year (2021-22) I could have given more start as the online education experience was better compared to our previous experience. I was expecting we will have faboulus experience once the school starts as the online experience is this good. But to our disappointment they announced two shifts and we had to select as which time is less inconvenient. When we took admisson (this was one of the base reason when selecting school) 7: 55 to 2: 00pm aproax. Now morning time s too early to reach for our kid and noon time we have to adjust only. Again that would be ok but for two shifts they have to keep margni time between shifts pickup drop and a break of 30 min. So now I have doubt how will they compansate for the hours missing (alread reduced hours with buffer time inclusive) and how will the curriculum and said activities wil lbe done effectively. There is no way to compansate for the time with even better infrastructure and seeing only holidays in initial days and proxies and no effective work done so far. I am really worried how this will go long way.
My experience at GIIS-Ahmedabad has unfortunately been unsatisfactory. Here are some concerns that I have encountered:
To begin with, the school's sports program is puzzling. Despite only having a 30-minute sports period per week, they have a sports day with sports uniforms. Students require frequent physical activity to stay healthy and attentive, and a consistent sports period would be valuable.
Moreover, the school's infrastructure is subpar. The IT lab, outside traffic, and ACs are not maintained, making it difficult for students to learn and for teachers to provide an encouraging learning environment.
Additionally, the class sizes are too large, with up to 47 to 50 students per class, making it impossible for teachers to give individual attention to each student. The overcrowding causes a noisy and chaotic atmosphere, which makes it difficult for students to concentrate.
Lastly, the school is overcrowded, with a high number of new admissions each year. Despite this, they are charging high fees despite the two-shift system.
Considering the issues mentioned above, I would not recommend this school. I encourage the school administration to take appropriate measures to enhance the infrastructure, reduce class sizes, and offer more opportunities for physical activity. To maintain the standards that were followed before 2019, it may be necessary to limit the number of students and return to a single-shift system.
Poor management, only believes in strength of students, quality of teachers, coordinators and principal below standard. It is worst than the government run schools. Students concerns are dealt with utmost idiotically. My daughter used to correct the teachers. Teachers level is absolutely third class. They give admissions all round the year to all, they do not believe in quality. 42-45 students in each class. Coordinator preeta menon behaves like a road side tapori, she speaks tapori language. Surprised by some positive reviews, either these are purchased or by some relatives of management.
I am giving GIIS a 1-star review due to my dissatisfaction with the school's mismanagement, exorbitant fees, overcrowded classrooms, and absence of sports activities. I enrolled my child in this school with high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience has been nothing short of disappointing.
The school's management has been nothing short of chaotic. There seems to be a complete lack of coordination between the administration, teachers, and support staff. As a result, my child has had to deal with multiple instances of miscommunication and misinformation, which has adversely impacted their academic performance.
The fees charged by GIIS are outrageously high, especially considering the subpar quality of education offered. It's disheartening to see that the school seems to be more focused on making a profit than providing quality education to students.
The classrooms at GIIS are severely overcrowded, with more than 40 students crammed into a single room. This has led to a significant decrease in the quality of education offered, as teachers are unable to give individual attention to each student. Previously there was time like 7: 30 AM to 1: 30 PM, now it is 7: 00 AM to 12 PM. Hardly get around 4.30 hours for lectures.
The absence of sports activities is particularly concerning. Physical activity is an essential part of a child's overall development, and it's disappointing to see that GIIS doesn't prioritize this aspect of education.
I would not recommend GIIS to anyone looking for a quality education for their child.
Teachers don't use the board.only use while explaining. All exercises are given through Google class. And not given proper reply and attention to new student. Some teachers don't have their own subject Google class code.must purchase mobile for our child. Everyday do photocopy of lesson in all subjects.exept maths. And get ready to accept spectacles of your child even.
1) They have a unique concept of "not to provide the results in the hard copy format". They have given the result in the soft copy on the portal and it is alo available only for few days, after that it got vanished from the student/parent login portal.
2) Book has to be ordered from delhi only, you will not find any bookseller here in Ahmedabad from whom we can purchase the books.
3) They have different color sports dress for different HOUSES. For that Pintoo garment will tell us about which house my kids belongs to. "Are bhai fees tumhe pay kare and house ki information PINTOO vala dega, gajab management he"
4) When ask to class teacher for any of our queries, she always have the same answer I. E. I will convey the same to management and then you will get Nothing.
5) Timings of school are very short for building the basics of students at initial stage.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY TO PUT YOUR CHILD IN THIS SCHOOL. THE PRINCIPAL OR SUB AUTHORITIES, MRS NEHA, MRS. AVANI; DO NOT HAVE ANY INTEREST HOW TEACHERS TREAT KIDS IN THE SCHOOL. THEY JUST IGNORE THE FACT HOW THE TEACHERS ARE TREATING KIDS. EVEN IF THEY SAY THERE IS PORTAL TO COMMUNICATE WITH SCHOOL FOR ANY REASON. NOT TRUE, SINCE THE SCHOOL STARTED, I HAVE SENT SO MANY EMAILS THROUGH, NO ONE REPLY AS OF END OF SCHOOL, MY CHILD DIDNT GET ONE BOOK, N SO MANY INQUIRES AFTER HE IS STUDYING WITHOUT THAT BOOK NO ONE CARES NOT EVEN TEACHER, WHEN YOU GET ADMISSION, THEY WILL PROMISE SO MANY THINGS & AFTER THE ADMISSION THEIR ATTITUDE COMPLETELY CHANGED. THEY LIKE TO FILL THE SCHOOL WITH AS MANY KIDS AS THEY CAN BUT QUALITY IS ZERO. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO TALK WITH PRINCIPAL EVEN AT THE END OF THE YEAR. THE NAME SAY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL BUT THEY DONT DESERVE TO HAVE ANY INTERNATIONAL OR LOCAL STUDENTS IN THIS SCHOOL BECAUSE THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO TREAT THEM. SO FIND A BETTER SCHOOL IF YOU R LOOKING AROUND.

Firstly, it's strange that there is only 30 mins sport period in a week, yet the school has a sport day with sports uniforms. This is confusing and not very practical. Students need regular physical activity to stay healthy and focused, and having a dedicated sports period would be beneficial.
Secondly, the infrastructure of the school is poor. They do no maintain IT lab, outside traffic, ACs. It's difficult to learn in such an environment, and it's even harder for teachers to create a positive learning experience.
Thirdly, the school has too many students per class, around 47 to 50 in many classes. This means that teachers are unable to give individual attention to each student, which can be detrimental to their academic progress. Furthermore, the overcrowding creates a very noisy and chaotic environment, making it hard for students to concentrate on their studies.
Lastly, the school is very crowded and chaotic, which can be very overwhelming for students. The school seems to be admitting new students without considering its capacity, which only exacerbates the overcrowding and makes it more difficult for students to learn effectively.
They are charging high fees despite the two-shift system.
Overall, I would not recommend this school due to the issues mentioned above.

Being a parent of kindergarten chid, i was very much worried to send her to school initial days.but well organised staff and policies helped me and our child cope up initial days of stress.my child beling part of K1-f, parul mam was a great support from day1. She is very patient with each and every child and she takes care of minute aspects as well, which inturn helped in great progress of my child.

Well, As a parent i am very satisfied with the school teaching n other extra curriculum activities. Initially after putting my child in the kindergarten-1 F class i m worried, But all Thanks to his teacher Parul ma’am who works with passion and dedication for the future of our child. We Are glad that our school selection is wise choice and hope the management of school continue serves the best for students who r future of our nation.
Quality of education is not good. Teachers are good and cooperative but not happy with the quality of education. Always get assignment/ project on last moment. No proper understanding on how to manage activities with regular study. Totally dislike
7 am school time in morning which is bad for kids in winter session, becuase kids are difficult to get up early in the morning in winter session, even i see in school bus most of kids and teacher are in sleeping.all other school timing extend in winter session.atleast should have time after 8am.

Recently I Visited This Place For An Event Out Side Infrastructure Is Good But Indoor Is Very Poor No Air-conditioned Available In Multi Purpose Hall Even That POP Sheets Are Broken And Falling Down OF Roof. So Poor Management No Food Canteerln Available Even Nothing You Get Form Out Side Of Campus It's Totally Out Side Of City Of Ahemdabad.
Very poor management. Didn't expected this after paying such huge fees. Specially during afternoon shift not a single day passed with all the teacher present. Everyday one teacher always remain absent. Teaching level is also poor. Passed more than half year but still not received student ID Cards & this is the great example of poor management. Just a money making business nothing else.
Yesterday was my child first day in school.but nobody attend child as they assure us that send your child by transport without worry.somebody will pick your child from bus.but nobody attend the child.in first day he had so many difficulties.he have to find his class his own.so the first day was very bad for him since the shift start. 2nd thing the teacher didn’t welcome to the child. & not even teacher introduce the child to the other kids.he was sitting alone whole day in class. Teacher should take care new students & give him little pampering so that child feel happy & comfortable…my child was crying to reach home bcoz whole day he was alone. & I saw the kids conversations all time in Hindi. I am not saying that talking in Hindi is bad.but nowadays if the scl is English medium kids should talk in English.my child already got admission so I am worried for the whole year.hope he enjoy the school & teachers will take care of kids.school is second home for the kids so if they will be not happy there it means something is missing there.one more thing the Ac’s of the school is not working properly.in this hot weather. & the school should take care for the kids comfort.the classes are very dirty in afternoon shifts.they are not cleaning the classes & bathrooms.if scl is not able to manage two shifts properly.why they are doing two shifts.this is ridiculous that scl is not managing any single thing.at the moment scl management is very poor.one more suggestion I want pour.buses should be also air conditioning.hope the school will take care the management. My son studies at GIIS, Ahmedabad in Grade 9. GIIS has handled the online classes exceptionally well and I can recognise the efforts put in by all the teachers to make it engaging for the students. A great collaborative environment.
My daughter is in Pre-primary and their GMP program for pre-schoolers is quite good. I loved their Montessori classrooms and I have also seen a lot of improvement in my daughter's reading and basic math skills
"The fees structure is a little high. But good facilities are given at school like audio-visual room. My children are satisfied and happy to attend school everyday. "
I am grateful and glad that classes are happening even in such a difficult time. Through these virtual classes my son can continue his studies smoothly and safely.
Thanks to GIIS’s Montessori Program.my daughter is starting to become proficient in quite a number of things. This is definitely going to build a strong foundation for her.
The teachers here are very cooperative and are professionally sound to handle all the children academically. I feel the education given here has a holistic approach and am glad that my son is a part of GIIS Ahmedabad.
I was impressed with their simple admission process. The admissions team was very helpful and answered all my queries related to admission and other things about the school.

Giis is the perfect example of "empty vessel sounds more". There are barely a handful of teachers who are actually qualified and capable of imparting education. The working environment is based on who can butter the coordinators and the principal more. Worthy teachers are removed or demoted while the ones who butter up well, rise through the ranks. It's not a school but a literal business, their goal is not to make your child better but to flaunt that their campus on social media. -As a faculty if you are trying to get a job here, then honey.you are better off without a job in this horrible institute where they treat you as if they own you. 24*7 you are expected to be at their beck and call. -And as a parent DON'T even risk admitting your child here. There are much better schools in Ahmedabad where your child's education will be taken seriously.
When we began looking for the best schools in Ahmedabad for my son, GIIS was one of the schools that was referred to us repeatedly. Now that he has been studying in this school for a year, we know why. The school offers the best education experience. They keep us involved in school activities as well. What is most amazing is how happy my son is to go to school.
Terminating their employees without giving them a single day's notice period is the kind of karma this organisation lives by. Snatching away someone's means of earning without any warning or notice is unethical of the highest value. Anyway, that's the thing about karma. When looking for pre-schools in Ahmedabad, we did some research on play schools. That is when we came across the difference between Montessori and playschool. Many schools offer the Montessori programme, but we were highly impressed by their classrooms and teachers. Two years later, we are excited to send our younger daughter to the same school!
We are parents of aanvi Kapadia and her teacher is chhavi jain. We are very happy with her progress bcoz after coming to ahmedabad we were confused about school but without any information we took admission in GIIS ahmedabad but its really awesome experience. The way of teaching and training of children is fantastic. We are very lucky to have chhavi mam as her class teacher. There is also nice communication between parents and teacher so we are totally updated with our child progress. Thank u chhavi mam.
This is to all parents and employees or prospective employees of giis ahmedabad: Quit thinking about this school. This is an institute with as zero morals. They sacked so many teachers in the tough and trying times of covid19 and that too without giving a single day's notice. Not at all trustworthy.
One of the worst management ever seen in my life in CBSE school. Staff needs to improve their coordination. Sports encouragement is good but it lags behind in educational field.

One of the best schools in the vicinity. And their international presence and multi cultural environment is perfect for a child's mental and social growth. Mr. D'Silva the principal is a humble man and manages the school very well. Infrastructure is good with few glitches here and there which are ignorable as there's no school "perfect". Those who feel that school is correct ask a few questions to principal
1) Does school has power to violate RTE act 2010? - no school can expel out or keep child in same standard for whatsoever issue. *School has cancelled admission of more than 40 students*
2) Why show cause notice from FRC is issued to GIIS? - they have done a lot unethically and unlawfully.that's why?
3) If school believes to follow Supreme Court guidelines on fees matter, why they follow only judgment of 1.2.18? - why not subsequent judgement of 19.2.18 and 5.4.18 which directs school to follow FRC order
4) If school had asked parents not to leave their wards in school on 1.4.19 itself in morning, why they had not refused to take them inside school? Why school had not handed over wards to their parents at around 11 am when parents were already reached and released students at 2 pm post media, police and DEO team's intervention?
It was absolutely heinous and shameless action from school especially Principal himself to keep children inside one small room willfully and depriving them from basic facilities.
It was deliberate move of school to mentally harass children and their parents to get the money with extortion route.
GIIS is famous with only name and other facilities is not as much level as they taking fees and everything. Choose another school rather than select GIIS.
