Great place to visit and very popular, with Hindu's only temple in India where they do not accept donations!

Temple was very small and despite crowds (busiest on Thursday), did not have to queue up for long for darshans. On less busy days, free Kichadi and Kadi are served in the temple on busy days they have a prasad hall next to the railway station.

The car park is quite a distance from the temple, which has many nicknack stalls on the way but bargain hard - most only accept cash.

શ્રી જલારામ બાપાનો જન્મ ગુજરાતના વીરપુર ગામમાં ઈ. સ. 1800માં થયો હતો. તેમની માતા રાજબાઈને સાધુ અને સંતોની સેવા કરવાનો ખૂબ શોખ હતો. રાજબાઈનું આતિથ્ય મેળવ્યા વિના વીરપુરથી કોઈ સાધુ અને સંત જઈ શકતા ન હતા. શ્રી જલારામ બાપાના પિતાનું નામ પ્રધાન ઠક્કર હતું, જેઓ વ્યવસાયમાં રોકાયેલા હતા.
16 વર્ષની નાની ઉંમરે જલારામ બાપાએ ઠક્કર પ્રાગજી સોમજીયાની પુત્રી વીરબાઈ સાથે લગ્ન કર્યા. જો કે જલારામ બાપા ઘરગથ્થુ જીવન જીવવા અને તેમના પિતા સાથે વ્યવસાય કરવાનું ચાલુ રાખવા માટે વલણ ધરાવતા ન હતા. તે મોટાભાગે સાધુ અને સંતોની સેવામાં વ્યસ્ત રહે છે. તેઓ તેમના પિતાના વ્યવસાયથી અલગ થઈ ગયા અને તેમના કાકા, વાલજીભાઈ સાથે રહ્યા, જેઓ જલારામને ખૂબ પ્રેમ કરતા હતા. તે સ્પષ્ટ હતું કે જલારામ બાપા વૈવાહિક જીવનમાંથી સંપૂર્ણપણે પાછી ખેંચી લેવાના હતા. સદનસીબે તેમની પત્ની, વીરબાઈમાએ જલારામના માર્ગને અનુસરવાનું નક્કી કર્યું. તેથી, જ્યારે જલારામે પવિત્ર સ્થળોની યાત્રાએ જવાનું નક્કી કર્યું, ત્યારે વીરબાઈમા તેમની પાછળ ગયા. 18 વર્ષની ઉંમરે, જલારામ બાપાએ ફતેહપુરના શ્રી ભોજલરામને ગુરુ તરીકે સ્વીકાર્યા અને તેમને શ્રીરામના નામે "ગુરુ માલા અને મંત્ર" આપવામાં આવ્યો,

We follow Jalaram bapa and we go there frequently. There are no charges for anything like tea lunch or dinner. But this was the first time when workers over there kept on asking for money. It was very strange.

Shri Jalaram Bapa was born in Veerpur village of Gujarat in AD. Born in 1800. His mother Rajbai was very fond of serving monks and saints. No sadhu and saint could leave Veerpur without receiving Rajbai's hospitality. Sri Jalaram Bapa's father's name was Pradhan Thakkar, who was engaged in business.
At the young age of 16, Jalaram Bapa married Veerbai, daughter of Thakkar Pragji Somjia. However Jalaram Bapa was not inclined to lead a household life and continue in business with his father. He is mostly engaged in the service of monks and saints. He separated from his father's business and stayed with his uncle, Valjibhai, who loved Jalaram very much. It was clear that Jalaram Bapa was to withdraw completely from married life. Fortunately his wife, Veerbaima, decided to follow Jalaram's path. So, when Jalarama decided to go on a pilgrimage to holy places, Virabaima followed him. At the age of 18, Jalaram Bapa accepted Shri Bhojalram of Fatehpur as his Guru and was given "Guru Mala and Mantra" in the name of Shriram,

जलाराम बापा की महिमा अपरंपार है परंतु में वीरपुर दर्शन पहेली बार गया तो मुझे पता ही ना चला कि मंदिर कहां है आखिर, सिंपल सा स्मॉल मंदिर है और जलाराम बापा और वीरबाई मां की फोटो है और साथ में रामजी का मंदिर है, और भोजनशाला का टाइम है वो हिसाब से वो खुलता है वो 24 घंटे चालू नही हे, और मेरे खयाल से कमिटी को बड़ा मंदिर बनाकर उस जगह और गांव का विकास करना चाइए तो आजूबाजू में सबको काम बढ़े और भक्तो का प्रवाह भी बढ़े ये मेरे निजी विचार है, बापा सबका भला करे यही प्रार्थना

Divine place and must visit to understand history of Jalaram Bapa. There are lockers available within temple for mobiles. Many shops while enroute to the temple

We were in doubt we can get the darshan or not but temple was open till 9.00. And best thing we got the Prasad also. Khichdi Kadi and potato sabji very uum. Jai Jalaram Bapa

Jalaram Mandir located in Virpur (about 55K. M.from Rajkot) is a temple dedicated to the great saint Sri Jalaram Bapa. At the age of 18, Jalaram Bapa became a disciple of Shri. Bhojalram of Fatehpur.

Jalaram Bapa served the needy and poor through his life. With his guru's blessings, he started "Sadavrat" a mass feeding place where all the needy could have food daily free of cost. Even today at the Jalaram Mandir in Virpur thousands of people are fed daily.

This Mandir is the real home and work place of Shri. Jalaram Bapa. Here the devotees get a chance to see the actual belongings of Shri. Jalaram Bapa including the the Cloth bag (Jholi) and Staff (Danda) believed to have been gifted by god.
One could also see the only black and white photo of Jalaram Bapa.

Points to Note: -
1. The unique aspect of this temple is that the temple administration does not accept donations of any kind since 9 February 2000.2. All the visitors to this temple are offered Prasad free of cost.
3. One has to deposit her/his shoes and mobile before entering the temple.
4. Photography is strictly not allowed.
5. Outside the temple you have lots of shops selling all sorts of items including souvenirs.
6. There are ample parking facilities

I had visited Jalaram Mandir in October 2016 along with my family. This is an extremely calm and soothing place of worship blessed by Sri. Jalaram Baba's invisible presence.

This place is very popular in Virpur where Jalaram bapa has born and live his life there is most silent place to get stress free for all of them

Visited on the Occation of Jalaram Jayanti. Very well organised & managed in so much rush. Got proper darshan & prasadam easily due to well maintained que.

રાજકોટથી લગભગ 52 કિ. મી દૂર આવેલું વીરપુર આમ તો નાનકડું ગામ જેવું ગામ છે પરંતુ તે આખી દુનિયામાં પ્રખ્યાત છે. વીરપુરની ખ્યાતિનું કારણ છે તેમાં આવેલું સુપ્રસિદ્ધ જલારામ મંદિર. દર વર્ષે લાખો ભક્તો અહીં જલારામ બાપાના દર્શન કરવા આવે છે.
